    Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy learning this basic banded bezel frame. This is a version on the traditional 101 style frame where I show you how to insert and tie on an additional small stone. I don't show the small stone capture, but you can use a prong technique, a coil bezel technique, or just tension and wire pressure to capture the smaller stone. You don't have to have that smaller accent stone at all either! You can use a bead or even just leave it bare wire and make wonderful whimsical curly works in the open space above the stone.
    Tools and Materials are listed in the first 10 seconds of my videos.

    I can't wait to see how you finish the design with the accent stone. Thank you for showing us the different ways you can feature the pendant's stone. There's so much to think about, and I'm looking forward to part 2. Thanks for generously sharing your talent with us.

    You are such a pleasure to watch and to listen to. Your method of sharing your knowledge with us is so appreciated. Because I adore you, I would like to encourage you to use your tools and not your thumb. Because I thought my right thumb could do anything, I ended with having to surgically fuse my thumb. Just a thought for you. Can’t wait for what comes next!!. ♥️

      Thank you, Consuelo! I do mostly use my pliers and try to save on my hands whenever possible, but I showed this one this way for variety...most of my tutorials, you will see I use pliers to push wires together. Much love! Part 2 is uploading now and should be there in a couple of hours. There will be more bale wrap videos after this one too.

    Another beautiful project idea! Thank you so very much for sharing so many fabulous tips too! I especially love how you lift the very first wires for support brace! The way you hold the pliers against the larger open area and just use it like leverage is genius-I will not pry at mine anymore 😂🙃🫠
    I should’ve thought of that myself lol but that’s why I’m here to learn 🤗💕🙏Thank You Again- you rock!😉

      Thanks so much! I didn't invent that move, it is something out there in the world of wire wrap and many folks do it this way, I just haven't shown this one for my own habit of using a wider plier and making a hard turn inward, but this works well too. Thanks so much for watching!! You rock too! We all learn from somewhere and we all learn from each other. I've been at this almost 20 years and I learn new stuff all the time too, it's the greatest part of art.work!

It's getting better but not yet, but at least I can keep it close to the body and it works just fine that way! LOL! Many hugs! Much love! Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend too!

    I wanted thank for these videos. You instructions and teaching style are wonderful! I'm trying to make this pendant. When i pull the wires of the spool I cannot get them as straight as yours. I use my nylon pliers but the still curve or sometimes slightly kink. Secondly, my wires are still bunching up even when taped and when wrapping. Lastly, when curving the front wire over the cab when I go to wrap it around everything torques. I'm trying to be careful. I'm fairly new to wire wrapping. Anything you can offer to help I would appreciate.

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  26 дней назад

      Good morning, Angela, you have great questions for us! First, when we 'straighten' wire after it's cut from the spool, what you are looking to do is remove the irregular bumps off the wire. The overall arc of the wire can be removed using your fingers and some counter pressure... if the arc is shaped like a smile, you would gently run your fingers, thumb and pointer, along the wire giving slightly more pressure at the bottom curve than the top. This will take most of the arc out of the cut wire. If the wire is round, you can then use a wooden Dowel, like your small rolling pin and roll it out... this will straighten it more. If the wire is square, you Can't do it that way so use fingers like I described. I hope this helps, let me know how you do.
      Regarding shifting while working, that is a matter of practice in handling the build and is a normal thing, so you're not doing anything wrong there. I teach that tweaking and adjusting wire the whole time, as you need when building is normal.
      You can also consider to Join my Membership in the future, I'd love to see you in there. We talk alot about wire control in our monthly live streams...

    Do you have a way to get rid of the sticky mess the painters tape leaves on the wires?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  3 месяца назад

      The brand of painter's tape I'm using doesn't leave that much of a sticky residue...some tapes do however. You can remove it by rubbing some 1000 or higher grit sandpaper along the wire, you can also use denatured alcohol or a product like Goop Off (I think that's what it's called) but most of the time, the wires come clean during the final polishing and buffing stage of process. Hope that helps.
