There’s a desert bus mod for sonic frontiers but you run instead of drive and it actually takes around 3 hours to beat so dessert bus is definitely still popular enough for something like digital circus to do a variation of it possibly 😂

Great observation! When I was constructing this design that was something that crossed my mind too, I did not put it in the final video for the sake of brevity, but one of the preliminary solutions to this potential problem is covertly age sort each player so that younger / more immature players would get put with each other and vice versa, this strategy is already being used covertly in some other matchmaking based games but with hackers and non-hackers instead of younger and older players. This combined with newer moderation tools are things that I would anticipate could help suppress this. That is a great point you brought up and is a great way of thinking about these kinds of design problems!

3:16 All the shadows and more modern effects is probably so it doesn't BURN YOUR EYES. Like it's just probably a choice so that people won't think they're lazy and it still looks good, while still keeping lore.

It would be cool of you made this as the prequel to the series where all the cherrecters with the red X on the doors are there and you play as kinger eventaully going more and more insane looking while you go through the game seing people abstract and otther stuff like that
I still think what happened to Pomni (and probably all the other humans) is the same thing that happened to Simon in the game "Soma". I won't go into detail here. If you've played Soma you'll know what I'm talking about, if you haven't... go play it. You'll see the parallels within a few minutes, I bet, and understand my point by the end of the game.
I think it would be cool if you added customize cherrecter to it so you can be what you like and later at the abstraction single player like part you would actaully have the cherrecter humen body models be what the vr suit picks up as the player shape but also starting to glitch out and you have little glimpses of you attacking the otther players
I would say a game that fails the IP test is sack boys big adventure you could take away the little big planet IP and all that's left is a generic 3D platformer you can make everything Mario themed and it would be the exact same game
@@epiceaston197hello fellow lbper! Yeah considering they shut down the original restitched and just shut down the lbp3 servers, sackboy feels more and more frustrating in retrospect. I imagined it would just be a fun spinoff i could play just for fun but now that 3 is down.... it feels really icky to me and i dont like what they did with it at all. Lbp is about crafting and creativity and even down to the themeing sackboy is all off. Its all so polished and nice, nothing feels ramshackled together like a child putting together household objects like the originals were. I didnt really like lbp3 that much for the same reason when that came out but now i feel sad that the last bits of the community are taken away with no replacement to be seen. Sucks ass and it feels spiteful to release a personalityless platformer alongside the server shutdowns... :(
I just had a great idea if you ever had multiplayer or really anything what you should do towards the end of the development is make a character customization type thing so they can make their own characters. Just an idea.
This video is great, but i have a lot of nit-pics 1: The editing can be distracting at times, you used this filter to transition between two shots of you talking and it made me do a double take to just realize "Oh he meant to use that" 2: "Way too much yapping"/pacing is odd. Now this is a personal preference in all honesty, but i also think that the video should still be in the interest of the viewer, and you should still stay on track, you go on for 2 and a half minutes to explain something that could've been explained in 30 seconds, and you could've still had some jokes in there. 3: You look goofy with the headset on, i would just like to either see your face or nothing, I did get used to it, but at first it was distracting, again this is a personal preference. And thats really it... Yeah the video is good, i loved the idea and i hope you continue to improve your craft.
when this is fully made which I do understand wont be for a long time cause game development can take years will it be free to play public or paid public also will it be multiplayer one last thing is will it even be public?
Best way to do this game is that every random player model is the size of the actual player Like if someone is 5,6 their player model will be 5,6.
