I have a suggestions for the next fight as these rules were used qt championships i went to: 1)2 minutes rounds(if you drop your guard during it, you lose a point) 2)Hitting the head is allowed from sides and top firm but no "cutting", back(handonly), front(aim to forehead) and bottom only marking gently and mostly scored by honor system(opponent tells the referee you managed to land a hit cleanly). Hitting the head to hard will not earn points or will lose some instead.(visible backlash to head or red markings) 3) dropping to the ground and folding from a hit is 1.5 points, staying on the ground or flinching from a hit for more than 3 seconds grants another point or more severe penalty. 4) any hit landed on you while using yhat hit to grab the opponent doesnt count unless its the head. 5) only blocking and not qttcking for too long(20 seconds or so) being upon a warning, 2nd time is point reduction. 6) reseting the fight should take no more than 10 seconds from the moment the referee breaks the fighters away. With these rules i think linus gets most what he wants but not in a dangerous way. The rounds are longer but not too long but the breaks in between are more strictly maintained so no stalling.

I just dont get why Linus wants Denis to do MORE work on his house when he already damaged it. Hes asking the bull to come back and clean up the china shop
Because the whole fight was over Denis wanting Linus to stop complaining about the hole in his floor. That's why Denis challenged Linus. However, when Linus said that the condition would be compensation for the floor (the floor had already been fixed, so "8" hours of work). Denis wanted to make things fair and said he would give Linus the same compensation if he lost. So this is rather, Linus just complained the bull wrecked his china shop, and so the bull challenged the shop keeper to a fight, and then they **both** agreed on stakes. Simple as that.

I think the rules plus all the protective gear kinda make for a very awkward fight. It was still fun though. I get that they don't want to beat eachother up, but we spar harder without any protection (other than mouthpiece and gloves) and all go home fine. Stopping between a kick or a punch also holds this back. Sometimes you take a punch in order to give two, that should be part of a fight. You can't fight without at least hurting eachother at least a little bit. I guess that's just a problem with point fighting/ traditional martial arts in general.
I assume there is difference between knowing how to take a punch or give a punch vs two mostly untrained people when it comes to accidentally injuring each other or themselves.
Ya but if you actually train then you have the control to pull your strikes, these guys likely wouldn't on like 2 weeks notice. Totally agree with you on point fighting nonetheless.
As one of your fans I do muay thai semi regularly and want to say two things. 1. Under non-TKD rules Linus looked a ton better, but TKD (the sport style, not the actual martial art) is memed on heavily in martial arts world for their ridiculous rules that make it more like playing tag than a martial art, it's one of the only martial arts that hasn't been effective in MMA without other striking training as well. Those leg catches and sweeps were sweet. 2. Leg kicks are actually a lot safer than body and head kicks, they bruise and rarely cause tendon damage but leg bones and muscles are huge with no sensitive bits inside like organs, so will hurt but less likely to get injured. There is a reason we use our legs to block body kicks. Same story for the face punch vs side head. The side head will hurt less but actually causes your head to whip faster so more likely to knockout, or cause minor brain injury. So again hurts more, but I would rather get punched direct in the face than hit to the side where I can't see it.
@@jesselioce Without shin pads, kicking with the power they do at that level yeah definitely possible, unlikely though considering how often its done. Once again, choice of risking broken shin vs a ruptured liver (which is a more common fight stoppage), I'll take a broken leg. EDIT: Did a quick research, in UFC history of more than 20 years I found 4 incidents of shin break. So nasty, but considering the thousands of fights safe to say it's an unlikely injury.
There's no such thing as TKD rules. There are two styles ITF which is a more power oriented style which originated with the military and WTF which is the Olympic style which is what they used. It's like point karate all speed and no power taps.
It would be cool to see them rematch like 6 months out and they both train for several hours a week untill then. We could end up watching a fairly skilled fight
In regards to head strikes by hands, maybe it doesn't earn points so its not the main attack, but it also doesn't give penalties so if someone wants their face to not hurt, they will consider blocking it and not covering their torso the entire time?
I did Tae Kwon Do tournaments as a kid with the no head punch rules and I absolutely dominated and have simple advice: head kicks all day. They don't need to be strong, they just need to connect. Don't be afraid to hop forward to deliver the kick. Throw a feint punch then head kick. Roundhouse to the head then if they guard, shift stance and hook kick to the head. So on. And if they start holding their hands up to defend all the head kicks or to try to catch your leg, punch them in the gut.
I would say Dennis took extra training beyond Tai-Kwan-Do because he was on company time and could use it as an excuse to save money on training. The problem is that it's Dennis. Had it been someone like Andy, that logic would make sense; but Dennis is Dennis.
Also, if this rematch happens, I (with 26 years of Martial Arts experience) do agree with Linus' recommendations for the new rules. I would also say, for fairness to the rules, to have a full three judge system; where two judges must agree to the point(s) for it to count.
You guys should see if you can get someone like sensei seth of a TKD equivalent to help you figure out what way you can make the rematch better more dynamic for skill usage.
Linus saying Dennis is not going to hit me and break my nose famous last words I feel. He comes near your house he breaks it; he comes near you and he hurts your knee (without even trying). Linus should be the one flinching around Dennis at this stage. The broken nose will happen when you both least expect it.
Can vouch that the video is great and hilarious. If Dennis only did a little exercise regularly the cardio wouldn't have been so focal. Also, real takedowns would have helped over strikes, but it didn't look like either of them had any practice doing takedowns.
The fight video was actually really really enjoyable and fun to watch. I know CSF is all about doing silly stuff, but sometimes a slightly more...serious? effort video can be awesome as well. Anyways, props to Dennis and Linus.
Denis being that unprepared was actually really annoying. Props for being willing and putting himself through the fight but the lack of readiness puts more risk for injury on the both of you. Yeah, it's supposed to be a fun video but not taking it seriously, like Luke was alluding too, thats disrespectful to the point of irresponsible.
What you mentioned at the end, "Luke and Linus vs Everyone else", there is a way to do that but it would require some video magic. You could make it look like everyone in the work place piles on you guys. Then you break free and fly upwards towards the camera like Neo does on Matrix Reloaded when all of the Agent Smiths are on him. 😂
3 * 3 minute rounds and the fight is 10+ minutes after editing and cutting it down, if the next fight is 3 * 3 minute rounds, and you live stream it, I'm fully expecting an 8-hour livestream.
You should follow Olympic Taekwondo rules: Scoring: One point for a valid punch to the trunk protector Two Points for a valid kick to the trunk protector Four points for a valid turning kick to the trunk protector Three points for a valid kick to the head Five points for a valid turning kick to the head One point awarded for every penalty given against the opponent Penalties: Punches to the face Attacking below the waist Attacking with the knee or head Use of the leg to block Kicking the opponent's leg to prevent a kicking attack Keeping the leg in the air for more than three seconds (to impede an opponent’s potential attacking movements) Crossing the boundary line with both feet Falling to the ground Avoiding or delaying the match (Looking at you, Dennis) Pushing or grabbing the opponent (Looking at you, Linus) Attacking with the side or bottom of the foot while the knee is pointed out in clinch position Attacking a fallen opponent Unsportsmanlike behavior of the contestant (or their coach)
I would love just an ISKA continous sparring rules set next time. 2 minute rounds 30 sec breaks. 10oz head, groin and shin protection. Contact to the head and legs allowed except to the groin and knee. No clinching, only foot sweeps for takedowns.
Why not just make it an amateur boxing match? 3 minute 3-5 rounds with headgear. No legs to avoid further injuries. Make it a pay per view! Have a full fight card.
I, for one, really liked the fight video. It's the only CSF vid I've liked so far, but I found it excellent. I didn't realize that Tae Kwan Do was so cool...
Linus you have to make the opening. If his hands are always there figure out a strike that causes him to move his hands and counter. He seemed too flinchy. He will move his hands in the right situation.
What I think they should do for the rematch and video is do months long training videos or at least like video tape them training for month and cut that down to put in the video.
Honestly im a 5'10- 230lbs guy and i used to do taekwondo and competed (never ranked) but competed in proper 3 round matches. Shit is tiring so I'll give props to them both. But how can Dennis' trainers not train his cardio to atleast some level of competence.
possibly but also possibly not. I had/have asthma and when i stopped being a lazy bastard i could barely get through 3 bench press sets without being both physically tired and out of breath. After a month i could do a full workout without the light-headedness or the need for an inhaler. So its possible but lower forms of asthma are easily overcome by just getting into shape
@@Llama_charmer you're not wrong. For me, in elementary school I had about 4 or 5 years of basketball under my belt, but I began to realize that on game days I would get winded after just running from one side of the court to the other extremely easily. @@Garrett. Yeah as a kid i was (as most kids are) very active. Would go to school, play football all lunch, come home and go straight to a swimming lesson. D brand: you effed up. Valve: don’t worry, we’ll be releasing an update with half life 3. Stay tuned. D brand rnd: we’ll just redesign the entire thing. Steam: a butterfly
I don't get why this needs to be complicated, all strikes above the belt allowed, 1 point per cleanly landed strike. Sweeps allowed, but only to the back of the leg.
As a Taekwondo practitioner, I would've gotten 3 corner judges to make it more like a tournament styled match. I just would've liked a more solid presentation of the rules and calls in general.
So that is a thing in a normal bout! I have a background in fencing and when doing dry fencing (not using electronics for scoring) there are line judges that help the referee with what happened on the opposite side of the fencers' bodies. I thought the idea would make sense in this kind of match as well.
I would do 2:30 rounds while giving fighter the ability to ask for 4 total 10 second breaks between resets for all 3 rounds, helps fighters rest within a construct. Allow face punches to the guard and incrementally increase the rest time between rounds to help fighters get more rest for the later rounds. This will construct the fight while allowing a chance for a great video.
I encourage everyone to set a 60s timer on their phone and do jumpin' jacks. Yeah, it's the stuff you did in school, but if you're not an active person, this will give you an idea of just how weak you really are. Dennis was simply not aware of his capabilities, something -most- a lot of men are victims to. I always thought of myself as an strong person, because I can lift and heavy things around for several consecutive hours. But that was mostly leg strength and good posture. I found out how bad my stamina and cardio was when I started running with a friend. Not marathoning, not racing, just running at a decent pace, it kinda wrecked me. I got somewhat decent after about a month of running thrice a week. Lifting heavy things is great, but pay attention to your cardio. You'll miss that more than anything if you ever need to fight or flee.
Fr, running at a fast pace for a minute tires me out more than a 1hr leg session, ever since i stopped running around at school i didnt realise how much my cardiovascular system suffered
It feels like a rematch would be great to put all frustrations aside, give each person 3 month's time, and this time take a real ref with the real rules and a bigger and real live audience !

Or better yet wonderboy along with em
I hope they make a Channel Super Fun video out of Dennis being Linus's butler for 8 hours
Maid. Dennis wears a dress.
Linus saying Dennis is not going to hit me and break my nose famous last words I feel. He comes near your house he breaks it; he comes near you and he hurts your knee (without even trying). Linus should be the one flinching around Dennis at this stage. The broken nose will happen when you both least expect it.
Beatings will continue until morale improves.
Now we got to set up a boxing match between MKBHD and Linus.
The fight was hard for me to watch just seeing the amount of pain Linus was fighting through.
Knees and joints bending in unintended ways is in the same category as eye injuries in terms of hard to watch
Not nearly as much as the pain in Dennis' chest lmao
Can vouch that the video is great and hilarious. If Dennis only did a little exercise regularly the cardio wouldn't have been so focal. Also, real takedowns would have helped over strikes, but it didn't look like either of them had any practice doing takedowns.
I hope Dennis gets his cardio together for the rematch, and that match can be very exciting then.
Should do an LMG olympic event
As I commented on the actual video, I would like to see a rematch, and have this be made into a series where the others have their own matches, too.
2:00 confirmation that Linus is literally senpai.
the video was amazing, one of the most entertaining videos I've seen so far.
Dennis standard for ad segments are higher than LTT
Still dunno why Dennis kept getting 2 points for falling down.
said so when is the fight
I am already hyped for that Video!!!
I hope this rematch still happens after they stopped actively producing channel super fun
3 * 3 minute rounds and the fight is 10+ minutes after editing and cutting it down, if the next fight is 3 * 3 minute rounds, and you live stream it, I'm fully expecting an 8-hour livestream.
I think you need an alternative editor for Dennis-foucused videos for a more accurate representation of events.
That was my most favorite Super Fun video yet. GG guys!
Typical UFC fight camp is 6-8 weeks. Your training on the side. A few fights have been taken on 2 weeks notice when the original fighter got injured.
You should follow Olympic Taekwondo rules:
Scoring:
One point for a valid punch to the trunk protector
Two Points for a valid kick to the trunk protector
Four points for a valid turning kick to the trunk protector
Three points for a valid kick to the head
Five points for a valid turning kick to the head
One point awarded for every penalty given against the opponent
Penalties:
Punches to the face
Attacking below the waist
Attacking with the knee or head
Use of the leg to block
Kicking the opponent's leg to prevent a kicking attack
Keeping the leg in the air for more than three seconds (to impede an opponent’s potential attacking movements)
Crossing the boundary line with both feet
Falling to the ground
Avoiding or delaying the match (Looking at you, Dennis)
Pushing or grabbing the opponent (Looking at you, Linus)
Attacking with the side or bottom of the foot while the knee is pointed out in clinch position
Attacking a fallen opponent
Unsportsmanlike behavior of the contestant (or their coach)
Face slaps are safer than face punches and arguably more satisfying. Plus his face has very high slappability.
He mentioned the scratch floor so I assume Linus won
i liked the idear but for a fight way to short, you should make it longer a 6 round fight or so that would be interresting to watch.
It was a great video and a decent fight for what it was. I would love to see a rematch with updated rules and more physically fit fighters.
I haven’t seen the actual fight show up on youtube. But have seen 4 videos now referencing it.
Soo looking forward to Rematch! That was an awesome video, Linus should vs some other employees too lol
I would love just an ISKA continous sparring rules set next time. 2 minute rounds 30 sec breaks. 10oz head, groin and shin protection. Contact to the head and legs allowed except to the groin and knee. No clinching, only foot sweeps for takedowns.
honestly it was great, and Id love to see it again
Why not just make it an amateur boxing match? 3 minute 3-5 rounds with headgear. No legs to avoid further injuries. Make it a pay per view! Have a full fight card.
I agree but have head gear, and kidney guards using olympic style fight rules. give them 6 - 8 months to train.
Deliberately hitting or kicking hard into blocks to soften your opponent up even if no points are scored is a perfectly valid technique
What are gonna be the stakes for match 2? Also jake vs luke would be great
That was really fun to watch! I enjoyed it :)
now he'll grill dennis for this fight instead of the scratched floor. mission accomplished dennis
I don't know why this reminds me of that "The Office" episode where Michael and Dwight fight, I just can't place my finger on it
3:40 luke’s an absolute chad
Linus actually has a really good fighting sense.
If you are gonna do it again, it should be actual professional rules. No modifications at all
I, for one, really liked the fight video. It's the only CSF vid I've liked so far, but I found it excellent. I didn't realize that Tae Kwan Do was so cool...
The only battle I saw was Linus patience waiting for Denis to breathe.
Does the 64oz bottle fit in the LTT backpack bottle pocket? I'm thinking of buying both, but if it doesn't fit, I'll just get a 40oz
Which taekwondo? World taekwondo ( what you see in the Olympics) or ITF taekwondo?
They used WTF rules. The spring kick being more points, the amount of padding especially the chest guard are clear indicators.
Do you have footage of dennis doing that cat tree? Feed us!
You can get actual face guards for the fight, they are clear
Linus you have to make the opening. If his hands are always there figure out a strike that causes him to move his hands and counter. He seemed too flinchy. He will move his hands in the right situation.
Daamn, Linus was already tired going in and still took down Dennis
It is WILD that LTT is the kind of company where employees can literally formally fight their boss.
LFC, Linus Fighting Championship... make it happen
Can't wait for the rematch!
Dennis might have some form of asthma, specifically sports/exercise induced asthma
possibly but also possibly not.
I've since been prescribed a medication for asthma but it's obnoxious and inconvenient for me to take so I don't really treat it.
@@Garrett. Yeah as a kid i was (as most kids are) very active. Would go to school, play football all lunch, come home and go straight to a swimming lesson. My asthma only really reared its head when it was cold, as a became a teen i adopted the "outside? What's that?" mindset and couldn't really do much of anything and that's when my asthma "worsened". These days i never need an inhaler but id imagine it i took up running id probably have some issues. My point being asthma is only an excuse if youre fit but still struggling xD
in karate you can get points for head punches as long as they is no contact and you stop sufficently close
new channel idea. linux fighting champion.
If not for LTX. I swear, I would buy a floatplane subscription just to watch a livestream if you did one there just to incentivice more subscriptions for floatplane.
