Yah its clickbait but I enjoyed it. This is an old video. Its interesting watching a race that’s not all elite athletes as it really looked like so many were struggling.
Its not clickbait. The title never said she won it said she made up a "huge" gap which she did. She was originally in 5th but closed the gap to get 3rd

She got 3rd because one of the runners ahead of her was tripped up.
She made up some distance, but only gained 1 place (and it wasn't even due to her). Hardly something amazing
Man it sucks when your prior legs don't have you in the race.
Good relay, looks like the winning team could have been dq'd when the anchor leg cut in without a proper lead. Although the rules are so gray that it's barely ever enforced. This is why you teach your runners to run defensively. When the passing runner made a move toward the front and moved in, she should have run into a carefully placed forearm of the athlete she was passing. Not enough to interfere, but as a warning that she was impeding her competitor's progress.

This is the most deceptive caption I have ever seen in track and field history. Mclaughin wouldn't have even be seen in the frame had the Holmwood athlete not fall. Anywho, big up to my other two Jamaican teams.

@@stephenwilliams7200 I would say that your stance is flawed because our females have been in the top three for every 4*4 relay in major championships since the beginning of time. Did you watch the recent world indoors championships? Did you watch the 2015 world championships, outdoors? Did you watch the 2018 world cup? Did you watch the Olympics last year or any year at all in the last 12 years? I guess not because not only did they get medals, they won several of those.
@@stephenwilliams7200 Jamaica beat a strong US 4x4 team in the 2015 world championships and medals in nearly all the Olympic and WC 4x4 finals. How is Jamaica not that good when it's on nearly every global podium in the event?

This is the Penn relays yes? I've never been to a meet there yet as I live near Des Moines Iowa and typically the Penn relays are the same weekend as the Drake Relays.

It can't be a 400m relay when they're running in lane 4 plus 3:40 = 55sec per runner which is pretty average for senior runners 🤷🤣

Just wondering why the Jamaican teams are always good? Is it the training or support of the programs down there by the community? Anyone have the answer or any ideas?
I'm curious too..It's like they come out the womb running at a top level..
They naturally have the muscle tone and build to be sprinters so they capitalize on that and start training at an early age.
Genetics
It's literally the only sport they focus on. Imagine America poured all it's resources into one sport, how'd we dominate. We have eras where we dominate multiple sports, regardless
@@HoneySwtDrms Jamaica don’t poured all its resources in track and field , they just bless with great genetics and capitalize with great coaching and passion . Football actually get more money than track … for the most part it’s the past students of those prominent high school who sustained and maintained those programs not the government. It’s since bolt make a lot of those people hopping on the bandwagon.

It was the inside railings of the track. The layout or the track if very tricky, because the color of the field and track are the same and the railing looks like the lane lines.

This is a 6 year old race (although she did still go to the Olympics that year as a high school junior I believe). FloTrack loves to post outdated races and tout them as new ones for views. I wouldn't be surprised if this exact race has been on this channel 2 or 3 times already.

The scientists said those yams had something similar to steroids in them. Superior soil is ONE consideration. AND. History says when the slave ships arrived, MOST of the slaves were dead. Those who survived were very often sent to Jamaica. Hence: inherent toughness, and the Jamaican term: we likkle but we "tallawah" pronounced talawa.

One ting for certain Jamaicans High Schools will continue to Dominate this school event ..Hope that the athlete from Holmwood Technical High School injuries was minors…

EDwin Allen runner should have been disqualified for cutting the other runner off. That's basic track. Two steps in front ofother before cutting inn, err off.

This was an old race. The teams running are schools and no way present day McLaughlin would be running against them. Also she's been hurt and not sure she's even racing now.
