Well this is quite unique... never seen a driver stop the train & manually align the bridge to cross it. The entire bridge rotates just by a lever... quite ingenious

Why is the bridge manual? Well this railway is currently owned by the stichting stadskanaal rail (star) that mainly run this line (stadskanaal-veendam) with steam train on certain days and the bridge is normally open but closed during run days

Actualmente, este tramo y puente pertenece a un ferrocarril turístico operado sólo por locomotoras de vapor. En 2024 o 2025, el tramo será reactivado como parte de la red de trenes regionales. Hay varios puentes de este tipo en Holanda, pero en general se cierran automáticamente y no hay que esperar como en este vídeo.

De DM90 samen met de mat 64 ( of 54 weet niet zeker ) reed een lange tijd geleden op de roermond/nijmegen sprinterlijn helaas niet veel van meegekregen omdat ik nog vrij jong was toen. Ben meer opgegroeid met de veolia en arriva Stadler treinen, zelf vind ik het jammer dit zijn en blijven mooie treinen om naar te kijken. Maar goed dat we het spoorwegmuseum hebben.
Ik vind het ook erg jammer. Naast zoals je noemt DM90 en Plan U reden ook een tijdje Wadlopers op Nijmegen Roermond.

В Европе есть такой ,скажем,прикол , например, в Голландии есть вакансия, на которую хотят устроиться половина населения Земли: нужно ездить утром на строющуюся станцию и "ВКЛЮЧАТЬ " свет , потом весь день гуляешь ,что хочешь делаешь ,свои дела и прочее, а вечером в нужное время приехать и "ВЫКЛЮЧИТЬ" свет. ЗП составляет среднюю по стране( так обещал работодатель)

it's going out of service due to the state run railways, NS just stopped serving smaller lines and branches who are mostly run by Arriva and another company i forgot, the majority of these diesels will be brought to romania i think, the DM '90 stands for dieselmaterieel 1990 (diesel equipment made in 1990).
I saw alot of them in storage a year ago when i was headed for germany by train, though i forgot where it was sadly.
