- Interested in tactical folders? Then you have probably heard of Allen Elishewitz. Allen was one of the driving developers of the tactical folding knife in the 90's and continues to craft exquisite tactical folders varying in shape and ornamentation. Each of his blades is an example of precise machining and artwork, and each tactical folder is handmade: no CNC. If you are looking to up your game with tactical folding knives, take some time to sit down with Allen Elishewitz.

The very first liner lock I ever purchased was a Allen Elishewitz designed Benchmade spear point folder. What exact model it was I never knew. lost it some years ago but it was labeled 26 of, I believe, 200. And, of course, Allen Elishewitz name was on it as well. This was around mid-late 90's. But Allen Elishewitz was my introduction to modern tactical folding knives.
It's too bad you don't know where it is anymore, but that's an impressive introduction to tactical folders. I'm hoping to procure one of his knives one day for my collection. Class it up a little more...
Thank you so much for this Elishewitz interview.
I am humbled by the Knowledge and Technique discussed, completely opposed to what I thought would be shared.
Truly fantastic.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I do my best to make my videos valuable for my viewers, and Allen made this one pretty easy in my opinion. I I'm honored that he was willing to speak with me and share his knowledge.
I hope to see you around the channel again!
The Hogue/Elishewitz collaboration knives are amazing!
I have at least one.
Great job Allen!!!!
Allen is easily one of the best sit down talks I've had on the channel.
I only use Ellishewits knives for EDC. So smart!!..
I need to add more of his designs to my collection. Eventually I'd like to pick up a custom Ottoman from him.
Very cool video! Interesting!!
This was one of my favorite interviews. Lots of cool stuff!

TKL your interviews are always the best. I had a Nimravus with serrations in black with black kydex before all the tactical stuff came out. It reminded of the Batman. I sold it because of the serrations and I never used it because I didn’t know how to sharpen. But I had it for a long time and felt safer with it. I sharpen every Monday on a DC4. What day do you sharpen?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and thank-you for your continuing support! I don't have a specific, regular time I set for sharpening. I just do it when I need to. If I feel the pocket knife getting a blunt then its time. Or I'll check all the knives right before a hunting trip for example.
What sort of money are you talking?
I like that he sticks to his "hand made" name
This was one of the coolest interviews I've done.
