We show you how to measure to get the right size helmet.
For an accurate head measurement, wrap the measuring tape horizontally around your head about 1" above your eyebrows. Your helmet should fit snugly. Keep the measuring tape comfortably tight in order to achieve the best results. For precise results, measure two or three times. If you get different measurements, take the largest one. If your head measurement falls between two different sizes on the helmet sizing chart, choose the smaller helmet size.

This video has been, by far, the most helpful I've seen on helmet sizes. No other video showed me how an oversized helmet will move freely. Sadly, my current helmet appears too big. I am wearing a large with a head size of only 57cm. I should be wearing a medium. Bleh, time for a new helmet! Thank you for this video!
Excellent video by the way
You forgot one thing. The chinbar. I've had a helmet that was a perfect fit, the perfect shape (almost). But one thing was off. The chinbar rested right up against front of my chin with uncomfortable pressure. It's an aspect of helmet shape you need to pay attention to.
That's a valid point, but one that doesn't affect many or manufacturers even take into consideration. Arai is a great example of a seriously close chinbar that you can kiss (almost). Its a good thing to think about when trying on and a chinbar can be as close or far as the model is designed, but shouldn't be resting against your chin. I could see the discomfort in that. Thanks for the comment
Is there a way to measure head shape rather than taking a guess just by getting someone else to judge it.
Awesome video
You started off the video with a note about different head shapes, but then didn't follow up on it with the "does this fit well?" section. What helmet size/brand/model examples can you give for "right size - wrong shape"?
J&P Cycles Is there an online sizing chart to reference once you have your measurements?
I was hopping for something similar too
Yes there is just google the brand name of helmet your interested in. Ex. Shoei helmet sizing chart
Yeah, what about head shape?
