    Sir, first i want to say thank you for this great series of video lectures on behalf of me and some of my friends..these all video lectures are very helpful and scoring in gate exam...........and sir we have a request to upload the lectures of computer networks because this is one of the high scoring subject in gate examination...as this year gate exam is in first week of Feb so plz sir try to upload those videos till January last week...

    In last example if we consider b c pair, then meet doesn't exist ..because of d & e ==> Φ

      It exists because lower bound of b, c are c,d,e,f and greatest lower bound is c , so meet exists. Hope it helps .

    Sir bottom line me 2 and 3 diagram me transitive line kyu hai..
    jese A relates to D and D relates to E then A relates to E ye wali line transitive pair ki hai, to hasse diagram me transitive pair ko remove kiya jaata h but isme transitive pair remove nhi kiya h, to ye hasse diagram kaise hogga? explain please

    In last question of Hexagon shape, LB for (b,c) = d,e,f ... So GLB can't be d or e ... hence that one is not a MSL !!!

    8th one is not meet semi lattice.. take {e,d} so lb = a,c,b and GLB = null.. correct me if i am wrong

      Considering B = {e,d} ; LB(B) = {a,d,c,b} [e is related to d and d is related to itself ] hence the GLB = {d}

      For B = {a,e} the LB(B) = {a,b} hence GLB(B) = {a}; d is related to a and c but a is not related to c (d is placed higher than a and c) - try to compare with how water flows.

    We get GLB c,d for pair (a,b) but
    Neither c related to d nor
    d related to c
    We can't get a single GLB
    Then how it is meet semi lattice .

      Hence GLB = c

    The fourth one is not meet semilattice. I understand this. But I have a problem with this 4th problem. What is the meet of h and e? Is it c or does not exist?

      Considering B = {h,e} the LB(B) = {a,c,b} and GLB(B) = {c}; If GLB(B) doesn't have existed then it woudn't be a meet-semi-latice.

      Lower bound of a and b are c,d,e but greatest lower bound(MEET) does not exists..
