I've often found it odd how so many will mock the stone "puzzles" for being so simple (match rotating animal image with image on wall). I'm pretty sure they were intended for keeping the things in the crypts inside, while making it easy for anyone that still had a sapient mind (i.e. not the undead), to intentionally enter. Same with the claws that open the doors and rotating the circles to match the claw. Simple, language free, pattern recognition, that wouldn't be done accidentally or would be tedious to brute force.
That’s a cool way to look at it! I could certainly see it, almost all of the puzzles were before and after encountering the Draugr, so definitely could have been to keep them in!
When my husband played this game for the first time he didn't understand how to open the doors with the claw and had to look up online. It's not that obvious to everyone I'm afraid :')
Everyone always rags on Skyrim for being simple, but the place Bethesda has always gone hard is the place Skyrim loses the most people at the most dramatic rate. Lore. Not just any lore, lore that you have to opt into collecting every time. And they make you use your head for it. This information is confirmed in a Skyrim book. If you miss the book, too bad, you have to be loreless now, better hope someone else picked up and read that book or you'll look like a dummy that mocks something with a solid answer. I love that about Skyrim.
@grey_man8281 Now I wonder if Vilod is the brother or father of the woman Ralof fell for. She would be of that family, and if Ralof is with them often, he would obviously know the mead.
I would always do Bleak Falls Barrow before going to Whiterun, so I never knew Delphine would be with Farengar when you return from his quest! That’s so cool. Great work as always, Bard!
I've enjoyed your video library for about 6 months, particularly your TES "main questline" playlists. And, I'm so happy that you're now doing Skyrim! This was an exceptional Part 1. Can't wait for part 2!
Your narrative helped me realize a bunch of smaller details I haven’t realized in my many playthroughs of Skyrim. Awesome way of story telling! Keep it up
It is curious that Balgruuf would say "by Ysmir". Usually that is the title Talos goes by. It is also our title, the dragonborns title. It means the dragon of the north. After the completion of the greybeard quest Arngeir (their leader) calls us, the dragonborn, so. As for Skyrim we, the player, are the first dragonborn after Talos (Tiber Septim).
Without doing any background checking, sounds legit to me! I could believe it! All of the whiterun guards referenced Tiber Septim as dragonborn, could’ve been the one and only that came to their mind!
Balgruuf is truly a moderate. He aligns with the Empire, but still allows public Talos worship in his hold. Because the man has a brain. He sees that the Stormcloaks are right in demanding religious freedom, but he also sees that the Skyrim needs the Empire just as much as the Empire needs Skyrim.
Hadvar is a good guy. From the start he doubts our guilt. From the start he does what he can do keep us from the block. Oh, and I side usually with him for simple gameplay reasons: His family in Riverwood includes the blacksmith. By going there you become their friend, and this are allowed to take low value items from the household. Which includes respawning smiting materials at the forge.
This is amazing. I just got skyrim, it immediately became one of my fav games, and now bard the chad is playing it as well. What a way to start the year ❤️
Hell yeah, I'd be so down for Skyrim coverage. I've been meaning to watch your morrowind content but I can only watch so far as I'm only so far in the game lol
Apparently the intro was very different where Lokir was aggressive had a different voice and it was explained why you ended up in the cart. Hadar also had a different voice. The mod is called Unused Intro Dialogue if you want to check it out.
I usey to only side with ralof before I paid attention to the voice acting and realized how satisfying hadvar sounds while yelling. I only side with him now
LETS FUCKING GO, JARL BALLIN' ! Godbless you To- Er, I mean Bard 🤝🙏. I've played thru this game dozens of times. I'm excited to see how You go about the politics, powers and guilds.
He‘s doing it, it’s simply amazing to watch Skyrim content again after completing all achievements on steam recently. Feels like there’s another attempt at stealth archer build. But my question is: will he play the unreal engine 5 remake of Oblivion if the rumors are true?! Edit: do u play anniversary edition?
Are you playing the anniversary edition and if so will you be covering that content eventually? The ghost of the tribunal one was neat. Shallow like the rest of the cc stuff but neat nonetheless
In 45 minutes, you have a personal body guard, can buy a home which you can probably afford from killing a dragon, you are able to kill a dragon, you are the most unique and special person in hundreds of years, the guards will let you get away with special activities others cannot, and you are thane of a city. This game is paced so poorly it’s hard to enjoy.
Its great to see you play Skyrim bard. Actually when I Think of it, it does not really matter what you post, everything you touch is made of gold. Every video is top notch, it does not make sense.
Definitely too much original game and not enough of analysis and comentary. Please dont go this way. I loved your videos for doing shortages of plot with good analysis. Not this kind of strange commentary
Appreciate the feedback! The full game episodes that I put out are based around the in game story itself with me ushering things along, but I can be sure to supplement more of my thoughts and commentary in. Skyrim is tricky because there’s a lot of dialogue and world events happening at the same time whereas Oblivion and Morrowind were more streamlined. But like I said, will add more original thoughts and commentary in 👍
I can't stand it anymore. I love your stuff but I wish you would stop trying to sound fancy and only being redundant. You enter a place or you go in, you shouldn't say both. You descend or go down, not descend down. As a technical writer/editor, it grates on my ears every time you say something like that.
@ABardsBallad Hey man, I've been watching your content for a while now and I think it's great. Nothing wrong with the commentary in my opinion. If you want to "descend down" you do it!
"Hey, you. You're finally awake. You were trying to watch RUclips right? Well A Bard's Ballad just dropped a video on The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim."
You were trying to shitpost right? Walked right into that RUclips notification same as us, and that Sneed poster over there.
😂😂😂 I love to see it!!
Amazing, i read it with ralofs voice in my head
This is going to be the greatest skyrim series in RUclips

Now that makes a lot of sense.
Keep the draugr inside, keep the animals outside, but let anyone enter who has business there.
When my husband played this game for the first time he didn't understand how to open the doors with the claw and had to look up online. It's not that obvious to everyone I'm afraid :')
@MiaZueSepp tbf,the fact that you can turn around tems in the inventory isn't really explained anywhere.

Ohh I’ve been waiting for you to cover Skyrim 😍
I’m excited for it! Haven’t played it in ages so it’ll almost be like playing it for the first time lol
Same
Vilod indeed still makes mead with juniper berries.
If you return later to Helgen, you can find a couple bottles in one of the ruined houses.
Also! Vilod is actually a male in game. He's the blond man that stands on a deck behind a woman when you exit the cart
@grey_man8281 Now I wonder if Vilod is the brother or father of the woman Ralof fell for.
She would be of that family, and if Ralof is with them often, he would obviously know the mead.
Oblivion and Skyrim are my favorite games so just imagine my surprise when the very first video on my feed was now Skyrim☺️ love your videos❤
I love to hear it! They’re some amazing titles and I can’t wait to make more content on them! Cheers and hope you enjoy it!
I would always do Bleak Falls Barrow before going to Whiterun, so I never knew Delphine would be with Farengar when you return from his quest! That’s so cool. Great work as always, Bard!
@@dannyfordjohnson the game really directs you there.
My guess is you get there from Riverwood to get the claw back?
As someone who picked an altmer, female, mage - thank you so much for picking one of the supposed "unfavorable" player races!

Reminds me of happy times getting home from school and playing Skyrim all night. Looking forward to part two!
Thank you for continuing with the noble task of continuing to educate us in the world of Elder Scrolls
Nice timing. Just finished binging all your videos about Oblivion.
Oh I'm so excited!! You've come so far since I started watching last summer, so proud of you Bard!!
I guess the dishes will have to wait
😂 I respect it! Hope you enjoyed it!

My boy Arvel thought he was slick 😂

I hope you enjoy this one and I’m glad to hear you like them!!
Snake, snake, whale….. Bear, Moth, Owl….. iykyk
At my first playthrough I accidently shouted whirlwind sprint twice and fell over the ledge of the mountain and died. That was ... funny in a way.
YIPPEEEEE NEW BARDS BALLAD VIDEO THANK U KING
You go! 😉👍 yayyy now I'm not bored!

That’s pretty cool actually! I’ll have to check it out! Reminds me of the unused Kvatch sequence from Oblivion!
@@ABardsBallad The cut content of this game is insane
@@ABardsBallad Also remember this game has different dialogue if you have completed items before getting quests
Feom my first time playing at launch until today, I always notice just how bad the Imperial Captain in the intro has it for Tulius.
YAAAAAAAAAAZ, YAAAAAAAAAAZ!!!!!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💯💯🎮🎮
I usey to only side with ralof before I paid attention to the voice acting and realized how satisfying hadvar sounds while yelling. I only side with him now
Yes new vid by the nine divines
Hope you enjoy this one! It was tons of fun to go through!
Aaaahhhh! Skyrim!!
Hope you liked it!!
Hey Mr. Bard, have you heard of the follower "Inigo" by smart blue cat? I'd love to see a video on his backstory and character analysis.
Christmas came early this year
Haha we skipped the whole year then!! I appreciate your support and hope you
Enjoy it!

Will definitely be playing it if it’s a thing! 100% I’ll have to take a look at which version I got 😂 There’s too many to keep track of lol

digging it
At long last it’s here
It’s been a looong time coming 😂

Anyone else getting an ad every 5 minutes on his videos or is it just me
I believe RUclips places them every 7-8 minutes or so
@ABardsBallad the ads wake the puppy up haha. Thanks for thr info man. Keep up the great work bro
Its great to see you play Skyrim bard. Actually when I Think of it, it does not really matter what you post, everything you touch is made of gold. Every video is top notch, it does not make sense.
Btw I Think it Would be fun of you did a mage build, since you Always fall back to blades😅
!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget Skyrim and focus your efforts on the Morrowind mages guild quest line that you just began.
Nah bro 😂 just have some patience and wait til tomorrow
