- Pik Rite Hydra-Ram truck bodies can safely off-load in low clearance areas and even on a hillside! This heavy duty truck body use a hydraulic ram to push the material off the body.
Safety and efficiency are maximized for your entire crew. Unload under power lines, in uneven terrain or indoors.
By off-loading the material without raising the bed we can now provide operators with the control and safety that complicated job sites demand!
Pik Rite truck bodies offer optional tailgate configurations and unique features and customization. An optional outside control panel gives the operator a firsthand view, which offers a new level of precision and functionality while making this truck body perfect for a variety of jobs. The heavy duty hydraulic push panel quickly and cleanly pushes the material off the truck. This eliminates the stress of broken apron chains and complicated live bottom systems.
When it comes to unloading only a portion of your load, Hydra-Ram technology offers more precision than ever before. Tailgating material, metering your load off as you travel, and winter road treatment is now made easy. This is perfect for highway road masters and municipalities!
Pik Rite truck bodies are proudly made in the USA and built to work the way you work! For more information about the Hydra-Ram series truck bodies or any of our heavy duty truck bodies, call Pik Rite at 800-326-9763.
Food for thought: have the tarp extend as the ram extends, that would reduce the chances of a loader operator filling the truck if the driver forgot to retract the ram.
Yeah I like that idea I run a front end loader and once in a while I see the tarp extended and tell the driver but most of the time they forget to latch the gate. One time I loaded 22 ton on a truck and after he pulled off the scales he remember there was a troweling machine in the bed.oopppsss.
That's really awesome ! ! !
Much safer too
Fill it with apples, leave the tail gate locked and make apple juice for the whole construction crew
that really funny
LOL
Great there goes my million dollar idea
Good idea until the bottom or sides get dented
Prolly just move Stone with it anything like concrete would ruin it
see comment above
Good.
Niceeeeee
Plz send mi auto acad
Ya wait till one of your employees fills it with the ram extended
first thing I thought of...
that would suck.
Absolutely cant wait to cone together for our RWC international build going to be huge
Same as Trout River and don't have to worry about idiots not retracting ram.
Nah, all the weight is in the back. Looks like plenty of tire wear and overload tickets. Also looks like there's gonna be material stuck behind the Ram with a load of dumpsters on top. I don't know I'm an old school guy, just learn how to tailgate and not flip the truck over.
hm.. the mecanism is like garbage truck when they dump... "(¬ . ¬)"
Itll work good till the driver forgets to reverse the ram and has it loaded with it all the way back
@Marvin Eicher - Comes with a litter scoop in the glove box just in case. Driver only has to scoop a few tons with that once, then they'll never forget again.
Lol thats for sure
Marvin Eicher YOUR FIRED!
Odious Ktenology well now that’s very odious of you. But that’s my Boston accent!
Chris F damn straight! :-)
That's really cool, but i don't like that it has a 3ft. Gap between the cab and dump body
Yea I see its value. But if you’ve ever serviced a dump truck, you know how convenient it is to raise the body to adjust slack adjusters and reach the grease fitting all over the the place! I want to know one other aspect, that’s frozen weather operation! Like I’ve seen a lot of loads freeze to the body, where you must spec a vicious vibrating device that shocks the material, along with the help of gravity to get the load out! I know hydraulics are very powerful! But is that ram enough to force a frozen load? Even with a heated body??
K. R. V. I agree on being able to lift the body for maintanance
Christopher Read yea man! Even from a drivers aspect that worked many years for a great company with the best equipment, that requires the driver to sweep out your assigned truck every day at the end, with an owner that notices if you don’t and will give you hell! With a requirement you wash and polish when needed without telling! But all on the clock! That’s why he can and will give you hell for an unkempt truck. Plus the driver is also required to service and keep meticulous records! So when I say a lifting body is a good thing, I mean it! I cannot imagine having to wash all the mud and crud from underneath a dump truck with a fixed bed! Maybe a sand hauling highway princess, but not a rig used for excavation!
K. R. V. Sounds like your boss knew the importance of clean machenery for the company image.
And i can tell you from exsperiance that changing suspension bushes is much easier when the body is up then when its down. And i agree that lifting the body to wash under the truck makes it a hell pf alot easier.
Christopher Read also being able to raise the body in snowy rainy weather is a big help.
K. R. V. Definetly.
In answer to some of the questions below: These bodies are built with 1/4" Hardox floor and 3/16" stainless sides. They are being used and abused are holding up better than traditional steel dump bodies. They have been used for large stone and rip rap as well as smaller aggregates. Optional steel thickness and custom options are available for your specific needs. In-cab camera monitoring systems, indicator light or alarm available to prevent loading while pusher is extended. Hydraulic push ejects frozen material better than gravity flow dump bodies. Call 800-326-9763 or email sales@pikrite.com for more information.
I would think this would work great as long as the bodies held up, but a few big dings in the side from rocks and material might seep through when being pushed. Also would worry about a piece of concrete with rebar sticking out the side slashing the side and the bottom of my trailer like Wolverines Anamantium blades.
We have had good success with the bodies holding up. The stainless sides and Hardox floor are stronger than carbon steel.
Has it been tested on asphalt ?
@@PikRite how much tonnage can this truck carry for palm shells or palm kernels?
If it would stand it, this would be really nice for salt trucks. Not having to raise up to keep the salt moving worrying about power lines and bridges..
How do u clean out the stone left behind n will it brake when to much makes it behind the push ram is there more detail vid on this
I assume, that there is some door on the side of the back of the blade where you can empty that stuff
Look how long the wheelbase has to be for that stupid long box to be mounted in front. Lift axle moved to the rear too. Just an ugly setup all together
Wow! that is awesome, do not have to raise the box.
Is about time, took you long enough.
Adds weight and takes up space for materials
What happens when the slide gets jammed up with rock and debris?
It should just stop and nothing should break
Can this be used on sugarcane sterms with out dameging it ?
Another version of a pusher dump.
No more worrying about being level!!
When she works she works good but It's like a live bottom and if anything goes wrong with that ram your day is gonna suck!! Like being married
ruclips.net/video/DflOLR3bGkU/видео.html is another video of the same truck in action.
Just like my rubbish truck.. The only hard part is cleaning behind the packer
Lo mismo que un camión basurero
How about asphault?
I would imagine that would work too, as long as it didn't sit too long.
don't see an issue as long as the bed is coated with diesel
Plz send mi auto acad tepper body
How much dead weight
Where can I buy this cylinder
Does it work well with FC5?
Sorry, not familiar with FC5.
@@PikRite sticky asphalt/ tar
So basically it's no longer a dump truck

Me gusta mucho y cuanto vale

Awesome!!
I can't denie this.
Damitttttttt boy 👍, would be nice for end dump trailers
Too not have to lift that frameless trailer in the air is a God send
They have them I saw I believe mac makes one.
That's amazing...gd idea
the push truck.
Seems like a good idea for salt shakers but that’s about it.
How much weight does this add?
Brilliant!
What about when you're dumping into a paver how can that help you
Sam Zmigrodski
How does a side dump or a bottom dump help with a paver ? Yet they have applications where they are the best tool for the job .
A Conneely thats where 2-way tippers are good. The convinience of a side tipper with the option for rear tip when sealing roads
Christopher Read
Does a bottom dump do that as well. .How about double dump trailers they they work with a paver too .
A Conneely is that a seriouse question or are you taking the piss.
What do you think ?
Stupid idea. Why fix something that’s not broken
Too much wasted space. Good only for vendor
foolish idea
What would you know about it???
Why?
