If you have to bend the rear of your helmet up to stop it fouling your SCBA pack, there’s something wrong with the helmet design. But you know, tradition…..
That’s not what it’s for. That’s called a ‘Phenix’ or ‘Squad’ bend. There are other bends. The ‘Boston bend’ is a completely flat and straight brim. And the ‘Bronx bend’ is almost a 90° angle DOWN. None of these bends on any leather or composite traditional helmets interfere with or “foul” the air pack. If you wanna wear a turtle shell or that euro trash, go for it, but the traditional design has been around for a very very long time and is still NFPA compliant because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.

A small tip:
Go for more modern trucks, with high pressure reels, and be masked up already when you arrive. This saves A LOT of time, and is safer.
