    Great explanation. Worth a TED talk! Sounds like implicit modelling, additive manufacturing and Computed Tomography walk hand in hand (should... at least).

    No. its hardly going to impact engineering at all. traditional methods are cheap and well established/documented. As long as there are people who just care about money, its never going to happen in the industry. As long as there is a CEO who has his 'vision' with no background in the kind of work hes direction (aka an Intel CEO that has a background in accounting instead of electrical engineering/computer science
