Audiology And Speech Language Pathology Department at NIPMR - Thrissur

National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (NIPMR) is an autonomous Institution under the Social Justice Department. NIPMR designs, develops and implements therapeuticals, educational, vocational and awareness programmes in disability for the service providers, who are working for the care and cause of children/persons with disabilities for their rehabilitation and mainstreaming in the society.
Audiology and Speech Language Pathology department is equipped with facilities for evaluation and intervention for hearing disorders, comprehensive assessment, analysis and management for children and adults with speech, language, swallowing and feeding disorders. Several audiological tests are carried out in the department such as PTA, Immittance audiometry, BERA and OAE. The Government of Kerala has empanelled NIPMR as an Auditory Verbal Therapy Centre under the Sruthitarangam Scheme.
