    Please let us know where to buy such stabilizer for applique
    Thank you

      Dear Natalja, we use Vliesofix stabilizer of the Vlieseline brand. However, you can use almost any double-sided adhesive stabilizer. We recommend that you get in touch with your sewing machine dealer or notions shop and ask for a stabilizer that can be used for appliqué. Kind regards from Switzerland

    Why can't I get a negative number to appear in the cutwork offset dialogue box greater than -0.95?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  7 лет назад

      Hi Ann, the negative numbers are indeed limited to -0.95. If a negative number is chosen, the cutting will take place within the embroidery. Is there a special reason why you would like to choose a negative number greater than -0,95?

      Bernina International AG I'm following a commercial Rose of Sharon embroidery design which doesn't have a cutwork file for the appliqué. So I took the first stitch down blanket stitch file, took off the offset, and then produced the cutwork file. Changing all the numerical settings was tedious and to be precise I needed exactly to halve the blanket stitch width. This wasn't possible with the software limitations. I've done it. The pieces are exactly right. But it was a long haul! I have bought the Sewcial cd 2016 and this tutorial uses a -1.0 offset - which isn't possible. Hence I came to you.

      Bernina International AG please note in this video there is an error to alert others. You can't change the offset to -1

      Hi Ann, thanks for letting us know. We are working on solving the problem in the software - which will take a while. There's however a workaround until this is implemented. Without any object selected invoke Cutwork Border Docker. Then select Satin in Embroidery dropdown (can be done if a Hole or Stumpwork/Piece is selected). It will be possible to enter an offset of -1.50mm in "Add Cutwork Border" dialog for new designs.

      Hi Vickie, we support the installation of BERNINA embroidery software 8 on mac. Our embroidery software is not a native Mac application though. You will have to run in in combination with Apple Boot Camp and Microsoft Windows. For details please see www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Software/Embroidery-Software/BERNINA-Embroidery-Software-V8.
