Finally someone going into detail about the SBMM lately, it's making the game lose the fun factor for me, don't see why they can't use a system like apex and have ranked and casual modes.
@@shinobikydex2509 people will play in exactly the same way regardless of game mode , people that drop shot, jump shot, quickscope head shots are not gonna suddenly stop doing that just because the game mode says casual
I feel that if they want people to play in similar skill levels just make a ranked option, and if people don’t want to they can play casual. I can’t handle ranked in games because I don’t have fun and I’m just stressed but I know that some people love ranked. Putting the option in the players hands just makes sense
lol profession cod player is complaining about being matched up with other pros, just imagine how us filthy causals feel playing against y'all who play several hours daily.
But that’s the thing, due to SBMM: you will never get paired up with good players like this lol. Who exactly are you getting paired up with if you’re a casual?
Correct. It means to make it difficult for (someone) to win a game or contest by trying hard and playing or performing well. *_"Though they lost, they gave last year's champions a run for their money."_*
I've never really understood the whole "Im playing against people my own level so its not fun" line of thinking. It would seem to me that squads like yours NOT being against people that "are much less aggressive and are less aware of thier surroundings" is how it should be. No disrespect meant, I love your content, maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you mean here?
Mitch Ruopp he’s a sweaty try hard and now he is mad that he is facing other tryhards? I don’t get it either. Half the time my random teammates drop out and I am left to solo full teams on my own.
That's exactly how I feel when someone complains about sbmm. Sbmm is great. It's goal is to get you fair games by matching you with similarly skilled players. Given the sbmm actually works as intended and can't be easily manipulated. But that goes without saying.
SBMM is needed, it is just too strong right now. For example, if you are a 1.5 kd player, I'd say a decent lobby with some variety would have kd's ranging from 1.0-2.5. There's a lot less players with high KDs, so the upper end of the skill bracket goes further to include more players and balance the lobby out. Currently however, it feels like (in my games) I'm playing against 1.8-2.5 kd players even though I'm only a 1.25kd player. It's all over the place as well, one night I can get 3 wins in a few hours, the next night I can't even make it to the 3rd circle over a dozen games. The game needs to have easy fights and hard fights, or else if they're all hard fights then it just becomes exhausting to play.
Tomo: *uses less than meta weapons to win games* Me: *tries the same load out and get zero kills three games in a row, switch to my usual M4 and repeat*
THANK YOU so much for discussing the SBMM being turned up. I’ve been commenting on others vids hoping they would speak about it because I don’t even like playing warzone because how bad SBMM is now
I'm fine losing to more skilled players, but when each lobby feels as though everybody in the lobby has a KD 0.5 higher than mine it's exhausting. I went from winning 3 games in a few hours to losing a dozen games not even making it to the 3rd circle over the span of two days. You need easy fights and hard fights or else it's just boring and frustrating. I don't know if I would call Tomo the "thief", he's good but there are better out there all over RUclips and Twitch.
hey tomo i have an awesome setup that i was using that has practically no recoil and does loads of damage: Aug with monolithic, longest barrel, operator fore grip, tac laser and corp combat holo sight. It is insane
SBMM is a cancer upon gaming. The first game of the day feels great and we'll place top ten or even win. Every game after that gets harder and harder until every death looks suspect.
I see a similar pattern earlier in the week we played maybe 10 games and got three wins Same crew of us the last day or two have been getting absolutely ruined and it seems like everyone in the lobby is super aggressive pro players We all quit yesterday because we were just getting absolutely creamed before even getting the first load out multiple multiple games in a row
@@tintin6291 lol, the classic reply. Yes tin tin I want bot lobbies where I smash everyone without flinching, they crumble between my fingers and I win game after game with ease. No, I just don't want to sweat to the max after one good game.

Tomo I can completely agree with you for skill based matchmaking me and my mates have just given up it feels like there's no progress in our skills due to it
For me there are two things that take the fun out of Warzone : - random players leaving squads/trios when they die. Especially in quads when 2 players or 3 leave. It becomes near impossible to play the game. they shouldn't allow this. - launching a trio/squad and having an incomplete team, I launched so many games ending all alone at the beginning ...
I definitely think somethings changed. We’ve had times where we’ve won back to back games and for the last month or so we were going a week or so without winning. The last week though it seems to have changed and the lobbies feel much more like they used too and not super pro lobbies. Feeling the fun slowly coming back into it. Love the SA87. Best ground loot gun going.
Tom completely agree with the matching. I play in a couple of different groups. Last night I played in one group and we didn't finish below 28th maybe 2 kills each. Jumped into another group later on that evening and with place 7th with 7 kills each. 🤷🏻♂️
Really enjoyed this but then thought "hey I'm a creche level player" then thought what the hell sit back and enjoy. Love it when you guys get together 😁
Tomo I am happy it's not just you, all my stats I sit in top 1% and recently I found I am getting absolutely shredded in most games even from players with ground loot, as well as dozens of super aggressive players/teams in all my lobbies. I am at the point where I sit there thinking ever other kill was that player good or a hacker, and honestly quite a few times my kill cam tells me hacker as I blatantly get beamed by floor loot and the way the cross hair bounces. Well just my feeling.
Sbmm is part of why this cod has maintained such a large player base for so long. Basically, if you suck at cod, you'll still get enough kills to keep people interested.
Yup, I'm an avg player and have just recently started to get into FPS. I have played in so many sweaty lobbies just fighting to get 4 kills per match and we play like campers to get in top ten, zzzzzz. In multiplayer it's also the same. I came across at least five cheaters last night, but for some reason I keep going on lol it's that experience of winning a match at the end that keeps us going.
Try showing way more aggression man, I felt like this game was getting too hard until I started running with extremely high KD players / got good at aggression / putting pressure on other teams, honestly if you’re the team that’s camping getting pressed it really doesn’t feel good maybe practice full sending non stop in plunder with your mates then drop hot in warzone a bunch. It’s good to slow down and know when to do that, but without the aggression these days your team will get manhandled and it will be a bunch of boring games.
Honestly I'm still having fun with warzone but I do seem to be having a lot more games where my team gets absolutely destroyed. But then we get a game where it feels like we're playing against bots. It's weird.
Yep I have the same experience. I play with friends with a kd between 0.40 en 0.80 while mine is not that high either being 1.30 and we get maybe 1-3 games where everybody can get some kills but then it's back to lobbies where 90% of the teams are playing with kilo/mp5/origin, laserlike aim and pushing from all directions. I can't imagine how it must feel for my teammates if I am already getting destroyed. It's ridiculous.
Wanted to reply about my experiences in Warzone. Every match that I have played in the past couple of weeks have lasted less than 5 minutes. It’s so bad now that I have stopped playing the game. It’s like everyone’s a professional player now. Love your videos.
Sorry Tomo, I don't have an problem with you & the guys having very hard matches. You and your mates (stodeh, westie, jack, aculite, stone) are very high skill level players. I totally understand that getting a 19 kill per person game is very fun & great content but it also shows that you are clearly mismatched against that lobby. Regular gamers, not career gamers like you & the guys, get around 10 kills max per game. I'm def not trash but my max kill game is 13 and my usual is around 8 with quite a few wins. You want to have fun but so does everyone else so SBM is working just fine, you're fighting your equals ;-)
Hard matches are fine, but when every match is hard it's a problem. If every game was fighting your equals then every gunfight is a 50-50 coin toss. Right now lobbies are like 1.5 to 2.0 kd players, when it should be 1.0 to 2.5 kd. Or just remove SBMM from the main playlist and introduce a ranked mode. I've had to learn how to bunny hop and slide cancel just to compete and still my highest kill game was 10. I just want to use off-meta guns without being punished so much for it. Right now it's like I lose 10 matches in lobbies full of pros, then play 3 or 4 matches against players worse than me, then back to the pro lobbies. You can tell right off the drop which one of those lobbies you're in. Now if the skill bracket was wider you wouldn't have this effect of bouncing from an easy game to a hard one.
I freaking relate to how the SBMM feels like it’s been ramped up. I’m constantly fighting teams that are double jump peeking corners. Not saying I don’t want competition, but sweating every single game isn’t actually what I want to do either.
Ikr being forced to tryhard every game just isnt fun and then people come and say "oh youre just telling me you dont like fighting equally skilled players and just want to curb stomp noobs?" Its either sweat like your life depends on it like the rest of the lobby or get steamrolled
There’s just so many small QOL issues that should’ve been addressed by now and that a AAA title shouldn’t be still experiencing. 1. Mantling/climbing over small rocks and cliffs should be a thing by now. Many times I’ve been killed or just generally frustrated by the inability to climb over the smaller grouping of rocks. 2. There should be moving damage from jumping out of moving vehicles. Pretty broken, especially since the radar is a few seconds behind the action. 3. Proximity search of items. Picking up an armor satchel of all things is the biggest pain. Weapons stack on each other and things get lost all the time. Easily one of the most upsetting and frustrating things when you can’t pick up an item you can see directly in front of you because you’re constantly trying to pick up pistol ammo. 4. I understand bounties keep the pace up, but in a Battle Royal, they don’t make much sense. The Most Wanted is one thing because it’s high risk/high reward. Standard bounties are just ridiculous. 5. As everyone I feel agrees and is ready to see go away (sadly won’t) is the SBMM. Connection should always be priority. Especially in a BR. Too many variables as is. Connection should be one that is a little more consistent. Not to mention, sweating my ass off, especially when playing 3s and 4s, gets old quickly. Some of my good friends I play with aren’t the greatest at FPS shooting games, more so BRs. So playing with them would be less frustrating if it wasn’t a sweat fest every match. Sorry for the rant but for a game that’s been out for a year, there’s many small issues that should’ve been talked about and dealt with. Instead they add all the extra cheesy Easter eggs and Limited Time Events. It’s a fun game but it’s a double edged sword to say the least.
Totally agree on it seeming like they massively cranked up SBMM recently. It's gotten to the point that friends with lower avg score and K/D don't even want to play anymore because every game is crazy difficult
I don’t get a lot of spare time to play, and when I do play, I seem to get matched against people that are way above my skill level and I get shredded every time, I’m lucky to get top 10 finishes. I’ve spectated the surviving squads a few times and they are so much higher skilled then I am. I’m just cannon fodder for the people that know what they are doing!! Even when I copy + paste the load outs from your videos, I forgot to copy the talent. Love the videos and content, nice work!!
Completely agree with the game feeling a lot more difficult. Been going from winning between 5/10 a day to struggling to even win 1 a day now but I’m still getting quite high kill lobbies just no wins.
The SBMM has gone up. All my matches in the past like 3 days have been super sweaty and I'm like an average Warzone player. Its definitely notched up now
It's been insane even on console with the matchmaking lately. My quad squad was averging 2 wins a day in season 4 and just yesterday we got our only and first win in season 5.
They need to reduce the TTK in general by increasing HP points and armour points. It’ll give you more room for error and not die instantly just by being exposed by a fraction of a second. Only issue with that is they might need to tweak some weapons to hold more ammo.
Same .... I’m only 1.1 KD player and I’m getting absolutely shit on lately to the point where o just turn off the game because I can’t compete like normal .... I’ve noticed a difference.... I don’t need to dominate but just compete and have somewhat of a good time :)
People always complain about SBMM but they are sweats themselves. If your good it shouldn’t matter who you play because there’s a challenge. A lot of players play in parties and that’s a big advantage on players who play with straight randoms. There’s so much crap in this game a person could complain about in this but it’s just the way the game is...lol... Crap I had a lobby were symfunny was in it and that’s when I know that crap don’t work all the time...lol..
I totally agree that sbmm has been turned up a notch once AGAIN. There was a point earlier in the year where I felt that every game I was thrown into was full of professional players. Now, I believe it's gotten even worse. I feel bad for some of my friends/teammates who have relatively lower KD's than I do, yet we all have to compete against dropshotting, jumpshotting, and lazer beaming opponents who are just sweaty beyond comprehension.
I've noticed a big difference in player skill in the lobby I've gone from getting atleast a couple wins per play session to having 1 in the past 2 weeks
Yeah idk I feel that too about the SBMM. I'm new to COD and I'm trying to get better, and every lobby I join I face god's who land all head shots and melt me instantly. I have quite a few wins under my belt, but recently it's been super sweaty.
Due to the painful sbmm i have decided to take a break from Warzone and Modern Warzone and moved to Apex for a bit. Its a nice change of pace. I only play Warzone if my friends are on. How about more Apex content Tomo? 😁
Definitely agree with the sbmm, the unfortunate side effect of Crossplay is that the teams you get matched against are cronus/strikepack/Xim beamers for the most part, run and guns that don't miss. Not a lot of tactical fights. Has it got to overwatch levels where you need to make alts to have fun, if you have over 150 wins
Noticed in this last week that I’ve been matched with players who seem a lot more skilled than me and the guys I play with. Went from fairly often getting top ten to really struggling to get out of the early game. Might just be a bad run but it’s been quite a while now.
Any chance u could make a video about your graphic settings (the one before RT that u used in most recent video) and/or Nvidia settings? Looks so clear
I have a 1.28kd & I’m not having fun in warzone with skill based matchmaking. It’s supposed to protect me, someone new to the game. I play a lot! I may get one decent lobby of solos a day, if that! It’s been over two months since I’ve gotten a win. Went from getting 10 kill regularly to struggling to get my loadout.
My buddies and I have been having the same issues.. it’s highly possible we’re just bad (each of us has between 20-40 wins) but something about the past 2 weeks have just been insane.
A bad GG..... hilarious..... keep them vids coming. Been playing for a few weeks and and still no win. I'm usually the unlucky one that always get hit from behind or the first to get snipped. Feels like I go up against pros.

Alex Rous you’re dumb
Yeah it's hella frustrating I hover around 2.4kd and my friend is around 1.2kd and literally every lobby we get ran down and curbstomped before we can even get a loadout. Its just soul draining to even play to have fun
@@dbskulldb4496 so what you are saying is playing against people with similar or higher KD is difficult for you and that you prefer stomping on lower level players to keep your KD where it is? Weird confession
@@Thabzzz Not at all, as I said we get run down in every lobby, I don't mind a challenge, but having to sweat in every single fight is just borderline insane. Im okay with getting destroyed occasionally as its usually a nice way to improve. But getting sweaty lobbies where every single engagement is playing like your family is at gunpoint when you lose isn't.
And I dont know why you would assume I would prefer stomping either, that isnt even fun but on the other side of the spectrum.
Id like to have fun when playing with friends but lately its getting borderline impossible to just chill down and play a fun game of warzone.
Warzone has become seriously sweaty and im for sure not having any fun what so ever while playing.
Yea same..my team is gonna fire blackout up and give it a go again
Just get good lol
furyblade yt tell that to my connection

furyblade yt 40 with Ethernet plugged in I play on Xbox. I’m a big halo person. but I have an alarm system at my house that runs off the WiFi and when anyone opens any of the doors in my house I have about a 4 second delay.
Nice rendition of Imogen Heap Tomo
Finally someone going into detail about the SBMM lately, it's making the game lose the fun factor for me, don't see why they can't use a system like apex and have ranked and casual modes.
Yes absolutely. Have a models where the player can decide if he wants a fun casual game or a sweaty balls tournament every single gun fight
@@shinobikydex2509 people will play in exactly the same way regardless of game mode , people that drop shot, jump shot, quickscope head shots are not gonna suddenly stop doing that just because the game mode says casual
I can't even play warzone anymore. Idk what happened. Everyone is sweaty af.
his yay at 2:51 is such a mood when going against sweeties, lol.
I feel that if they want people to play in similar skill levels just make a ranked option, and if people don’t want to they can play casual. I can’t handle ranked in games because I don’t have fun and I’m just stressed but I know that some people love ranked. Putting the option in the players hands just makes sense
10:34 Your Hide & Seek rendition lmao
I thought I was crazy, but the past few days it feels like I’ve been playing against people that are much better than me
Heavy levels of sarcasm in this video 😂
lol profession cod player is complaining about being matched up with other pros, just imagine how us filthy causals feel playing against y'all who play several hours daily.
But that’s the thing, due to SBMM: you will never get paired up with good players like this lol. Who exactly are you getting paired up with if you’re a casual?
OurJosh You got try hards that party up with someone with a low KD just to get easier lobbies. So he probably runs into them
This guys aim is trash no way he is pro
@@OurJosh no what he’s saying is sbmm is broken and casuals are being out in lobbies with pros
Hell Yea. Been using this gun for awhile and finally someone shows some love. You get a subscribe from me Tomo❤💯
I'm a new viewer. I'm subbing immediately- calming voice and (for the first time on RUclips) REAL gameplay to show it isn't all easy in Warzone
Well, at least this gives me reason to believe that I don't suck at this game. 🤣 Great content, Tomo. Y'all are HILARIOUS and always a good watch.
"giving it a run for its money" doesn't mean what you think it means.
Correct. It means to make it difficult for (someone) to win a game or contest by trying hard and playing or performing well.
*_"Though they lost, they gave last year's champions a run for their money."_*
Tawan Saenraluk, uh yes, we know.
TheSauerkraut some might not, obviously.
It also means _______
Glad to see some SA87 gameplay. I love this weapon rn
People are not happy they have to work for their win. Most just want to stomp noobs and be given a win. It’s sad actually
Mitch Ruopp he’s a sweaty try hard and now he is mad that he is facing other tryhards? I don’t get it either. Half the time my random teammates drop out and I am left to solo full teams on my own.
Maybe people want to have fun and still play well
That's exactly how I feel when someone complains about sbmm.
The game needs to have easy fights and hard fights, or else if they're all hard fights then it just becomes exhausting to play.
i found the vector (fennic) beams really well
Tomo: *uses less than meta weapons to win games*
Me: *tries the same load out and get zero kills three games in a row, switch to my usual M4 and repeat*
THANK YOU so much for discussing the SBMM being turned up. I’ve been commenting on others vids hoping they would speak about it because I don’t even like playing warzone because how bad SBMM is now
This video has an Outstanding image quality! Way better than the others we see from vikk, jack, stodeh....
I once played a round with a dude that spent the whole round saying "where's the Timmys?"
Well did you find it?
I swear to god it's not even the game play anymore.. I just laugh so damn hard with your convos in game.. Lol
Hearing you sing Imogen Heap is amazing and I'm so happy I listened to that. ❤
I fell from my chair when you sang "Hide and seek" :D :D :D
GG Tom!
Love your content man
Keep it up
The thief is complaining about being robbed. Curious, to say the least.
How to play so calmly is suprising well for me i will be shocked with every gun fight
Is he just singing 'sound becomes two' at 11:20 😂
hey tomo i have an awesome setup that i was using that has practically no recoil and does loads of damage: Aug with monolithic, longest barrel, operator fore grip, tac laser and corp combat holo sight. It is insane
I love how you guys say "Garage"....like "Gair-idge".....We 'Murican's say "Guh-rahdge" lol
The SA87 is very underrated, one of the first 5 weapons I managed to get the gold camo with. Its pretty decent!
SBMM is a cancer upon gaming. The first game of the day feels great and we'll place top ten or even win. Every game after that gets harder and harder until every death looks suspect.
I see a similar pattern earlier in the week we played maybe 10 games and got three wins
Same crew of us the last day or two have been getting absolutely ruined and it seems like everyone in the lobby is super aggressive pro players
We all quit yesterday because we were just getting absolutely creamed before even getting the first load out multiple multiple games in a row
Why do you want it to be easy?
@@tintin6291 lol, the classic reply. Yes tin tin I want bot lobbies where I smash everyone without flinching, they crumble between my fingers and I win game after game with ease. No, I just don't want to sweat to the max after one good game.
@@boatsfa2015 i know but its a legit question. Maybe im older now and see things differently but i dont play games for fun anymore. I play them to get better and sharper at my thinking skills and having eaiser loobies just never made sense. I for one want ranked lobbies just so everyone can get what they want but all in all. Call me crazy but I love the sa87. Great vid!!
Tomo I can completely agree with you for skill based matchmaking me and my mates have just given up it feels like there's no progress in our skills due to it
Tomo: sa87 good :)
Me: I don’t need sleep I need answers.
Finally someone who takes a closer look at it. Love this gun
8:35 hurts seeing that massive duffel of money go by unlooted!
Bro thats one of my favorite if not the favorite gun. It help me to win my first game ever. Awesome video . Keep them going
For me there are two things that take the fun out of Warzone :
- random players leaving squads/trios when they die. Especially in quads when 2 players or 3 leave. It becomes near impossible to play the game. they shouldn't allow this.
- launching a trio/squad and having an incomplete team, I launched so many games ending all alone at the beginning ...
11:50 tomo sounds like Douglas from the IT crowd. Love it.
“Just exist for part of the round” LOL
I definitely think somethings changed. We’ve had times where we’ve won back to back games and for the last month or so we were going a week or so without winning. The last week though it seems to have changed and the lobbies feel much more like they used too and not super pro lobbies. Feeling the fun slowly coming back into it. Love the SA87. Best ground loot gun going.
Tom completely agree with the matching. I play in a couple of different groups. Last night I played in one group and we didn't finish below 28th maybe 2 kills each. Jumped into another group later on that evening and with place 7th with 7 kills each. 🤷🏻♂️
I love how westie casually uses the MG-34😂
Yes SBMM is annoying i litteraly get sniped with a pistol but when i play with my friend (level ~90 ish) its easy
@@ladiesman21707 do u have a braincell? SBMM literally means you get people matched with your skill level
V0RR SBMM is based more so off KD not rank
@@SoberAlcoholic89 does that mean i litteraly win every game
V0RR I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or asking a question. so I’ll just say “God bless Amurrika”
@@SoberAlcoholic89 if i get shot with a pistol from sniper range then obviosly im the be- nah im jk ik
Invite me to these bot games, I've yet to see it...
Wanted to reply about my experiences in Warzone. Every match that I have played in the past couple of weeks have lasted less than 5 minutes. It’s so bad now that I have stopped playing the game. It’s like everyone’s a professional player now. Love your videos.
I don’t even get downed. Die instantly.
My squad are feeling the same way man every game is a grind
Ikr being forced to tryhard every game just isnt fun and then people come and say "oh youre just telling me you dont like fighting equally skilled players and just want to curb stomp noobs?"
Its either sweat like your life depends on it like the rest of the lobby or get steamrolled
Tomo dropping big facts
The basic silenced one that spawns on the floor is great
I honestly love this gun, glad to see it Tomo
I knew I loved you. Then you sang Imogen heap LOL
And yes Tomo the skill based match making is killing the game!
Had to subscribe when he started singing Imogen Heap 😂
TOM!!
Yeah idk I feel that too about the SBMM. I'm new to COD and I'm trying to get better, and every lobby I join I face god's who land all head shots and melt me instantly. I have quite a few wins under my belt, but recently it's been super sweaty.
It's good to here that highly skilled players are having trouble with getting wins lately too
Due to the painful sbmm i have decided to take a break from Warzone and Modern Warzone and moved to Apex for a bit. Its a nice change of pace. I only play Warzone if my friends are on. How about more Apex content Tomo? 😁
I use the same loadout but with the Ranger foregrip. After the nerf of the Merc, I prefer the Ranger as it gives more stability
Hell yeah Tomo, this is by far my favorite gun and loadout in Warzone, thanks for showing it off ^^
SBMM has been unreal for awhile now, but lately it's been on 12!!
Tom ı like you and your m8s and the way you play this game ! Thank Youu 😁
Noticed in this last week that I’ve been matched with players who seem a lot more skilled than me and the guys I play with. Went from fairly often getting top ten to really struggling to get out of the early game. Might just be a bad run but it’s been quite a while now.
I 100% agree SBMM has been ramped up. As fairly good player with 2.3 kd warzone has been incredibly sweaty in the pass couple days
That Imogen Heap plug tho
Glad I'm not the only one thinking that sbmm got super amped lately.
