The gap between Newcastle and Man Utd is nowhere near as big as the gap between Newcastle and Cambridge. I do take the general point that a weaker team can sometimes raise its game 👍🏻
They did this last time their fans were here in Tyneside, news spread and they got a hiding after the game. I think there's videos of that on RUclips also. Funny think they are hard as nails but always end up battered.
Great video Eddy, there's something special about a match under the lights at SJP just a shame we couldn't see out the win that we rightfully deserved because Man Utd weren't the side many people expected to turn up.

I’m heading for well over 20k views and that’s way more than any of the other NUFC channels.
At least you can say you were there the day Jolinton retired Ronalo. ⚽️
Brilliantly put! Hadn’t thought of that 👊🏻
Good video, you always get small pockets of away fans looking for trouble. Doesnt look like these were. Just seemed like they were supporting their team. Maybe like us singing the Ronaldo SO song. Just banter in my eyes. Anyone who turns it into violence is the problem in my eyes
They were being confrontational. There were family and kids around and it’s embarrassing behaving like that in that particular context
Walking round the ground singin songs.. Didn’t see much wrong with that at all really!???.. United used to dismantle grounds n terrorise towns bk in the bad 70’s.. This looks extremely tame
Is this the Schooner that’s haunted??
That’s the one 👍🏻
Great video Eddie, top content as per usual, great to meet you last week ootside Eldon square, Ant
Ahh cheers Ant! Hope you’re well and all the best for the NY 👍🏻
I was told to take my camera down as it contravenes EPL rules on copyright????
It’s in stadium regulations that you’re not allowed to film 🤷🏻♂️
I thought you were going to say you were in The Ship Tyne main, but that's obviously long gone.
In fairness they have a right to be arrogant. They were lording it in Leeds the other day as well. 20 times Champions of England.
It’s not so much ‘Lording’ it. They were being confrontational and there’s families and kids around stadiums these days
@@TynesideLife most of them young lads and clueless…I surprised they got away with that
@@juliantaylor2223 doing that around the stadium is probably the safest place to do it. There’s families everywhere, police and CCTV. They’re probably not going to have a chance encounter with 30 - 40 hard lads looking for a fight, they’d need to go a little further afield
@@TynesideLife very true
Julian Liverpool r 19 times champions of England and their not that bad
I used to live on Gallowgate Rd when i was a student and i could see the Strawberry from my kitchen.
Catch a glimpse of Ronaldo? You've only come to see United! 🇾🇪
🙄
eddie,
i know there is no way to direct message you, I have an idea for content on your channel. new years eve there is ment to be 1000's of scotts coming to Newcastle. the trains are fully booked and the hotels are at capacity so it seems that it could be true. if you could get content from central station of this happening and tile it well, it could pull a real national reach for your channel, if it does happen there will be lots of main stream news coverage and you could piggy back off it.
just an idea eddie love your channel and only want to see it grow this is a great opportunity.
Hi Jamie, thanks for the message and looking out for channel opportunities!
I’d be interested to possibly cover this. How did you hear about this and do you have any details on train arrival times etc?
Just out of interest. I’ve just set up my Tyneside Life email address which is on my ‘About’ page (I hope). Is it visible?
Kind regards
Eddy
@@TynesideLife eddie i will drop you an email now keep your eye peeled

You'd never see them walking around Elland Road like that. They wouldn't dare. Can't believe they got away with it at St James tbh.
Many Utd aren’t a natural ‘enemy’ to us. Sunderland fans wouldn’t do what Man Utd fans did. On match day against Man Utd, there are lots of families and kids outside the stadium
It looked like most of the Newcastle fans had long since gone home when those shitty rag cowards went lookin for trouble ..... they wouldn't have dared done it at Newcastle in the 70s or 80s, that's for sure!
no excuses for the newcastle firm, had loads of time.
Is this the 1st time you have ever commented on a Newcastle & United match, both sets of fans hate each other. Shame we won’t be playing Newcastle next season lol
You know what yungun. I’ve been going to Newcastle games since 1976 and never knew that! 🧐
Thanks for stopping by 👍🏻
Ex football lad.. 70s 80s 90s man utd, Chelsea and Leeds.. Rivalry was huge between the firms. My advice is stay away from the trouble yung lad.. Jail time, job loss and home loss. Not worth it.
@@marcot4863 Sorry, did you just suggest that because you’re a wise old fox dating back to the 70’s, and (inferring) you have far more life experience than me, I shouldn’t video idiots, because I may get dragged in and potentially commit a serious criminal offence, resulting in jail and a catastrophic change in my life circumstances?
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, the mighty Cambridge United roll into town🥺
That was an awful day at the office 😣
As an Aston Villa I've been to SJP twice and enjoyed the atmosphere on both occasions, Newcastle fans know how to support their club. Those Man Utd fans were just jerks
Any supporters that sing "We are the pride of all Europe" is truly arrogant. Especially when they're clearly not. They're barely the pride of Salford.
👍🏻
Weve been singing that song since the 1970s - even when we had that one season in the old 2nd division. Its not arrogance you tit, its just a bloody football song.
Great video Eddy, your right about united fans. They've always come across as an arrogant bunch. Have no time for fans like that. I was definately enthused about the performance. The lads always seem to up their game against united so this was an excellent performance. Joelinton was a phenom.
Cheers bud and well said 👍🏻
You have no time for them lol I’m sure they’ll be devastated
Great video, I agree that was a fantastic performance! Joelinton was incredible! I was his biggest critic!
He’s worth about £80m now 😃
As a lifelong Manchester United supporter, can I just say that these idiots are in the minority thankfully and are disgusting to behave in this way, your right too mate Newcastle definitely dropped two points!! We were lucky to draw and I don't know what's happening with my team at the moment, but Newcastle made us look very, very ordinary
Well said Pauline thank you 😊
@@TynesideLife cheers mate! 👍
Really well put together video! Subscribed 👍
Thank you 🙏🏻 far from being one of my finest though 😃
Great video again Eddie apart from jobs worth security!
What a performance as you said I was so proud of that performance from all the players!
Trouble making Man ure fans bow your heads in shame !
Cheers Paul. Glad you liked it 👍🏻
Weren't so good against Cambridge. Typical case of a small team raising their game when a big team comes to town
The gap between Newcastle and Man Utd is nowhere near as big as the gap between Newcastle and Cambridge.
I do take the general point that a weaker team can sometimes raise its game 👍🏻
Cracking game, looking forward to see what happens in January. 👍
It’s going to be a very tricky window so I’m not building my hopes up too much 😬
They did this last time their fans were here in Tyneside, news spread and they got a hiding after the game. I think there's videos of that on RUclips also. Funny think they are hard as nails but always end up battered.
👍🏻
Great video Eddy, there's something special about a match under the lights at SJP just a shame we couldn't see out the win that we rightfully deserved because Man Utd weren't the side many people expected to turn up.
I have to be honest Geordie, I didn’t expect us to okay do well but what a great performance!
I would call that another trophy 🏆 for Manchester United
The intimidating family and kids trophy 🏆 👍🏻
I like Newcastle fans, always had great banter with them. Sometimes us Man Utd fans don't do ourselves favours... and even worse the team atm 🤣
These people are not adults, they behave like children, so they should be treated like children.
👍🏻
😴😴😴🥱🥱🥱
Don't worry. The clubs are going in opposite directions now. Newcastle are more likely to challenge for the title long before Man U will.
👊🏻
R7 spent the full 90 in J7s pocket, spitting his dummy out
I hate this side of football, i never get involved in crap like this, i'm a brentford fan and was there when you beat us 5 - 1 last year, had no issues with Newcastle fans and 3 of us even walked through the home end by mistake because we was lost but nobody said a word and we was in our colours, looking forward to coming back to Newcastle
Brentford are harmless so it's a good job you don't get involved or you'd get rolled over weekly.
Just Young lads in groups showing off testosterone part of a pack mentality, like most football fans really, if only all wars could be won by singing to each other😄
Outside the stadium has lots of families and kids. They weren’t just singing, they being being aggressive and confrontational. I had to edit it so as not to affect advertising revenue.
Within this context, I don’t think we should be normalising this kind of behaviour. It’s embarrassing
really hope your players fight with pride this last half of the season, your a premier club for sure. great fans great club,
Cheers 👊🏻
Yes but joel linton isnt a striker......he was just put up front....
EH has been the difference 👍🏻
The reason the Man U fans walked around the ground is that you forget they had to travel all that way from Essex and needed to stretch their legs.
Love it! 😂
Knob
Change the record your not a bad act but you've been on to long
Fans walking and chanting is called football fans walking and chanting. How is that being arrogant ffs. Let’s go for tea, biscuits and hymns.
always been a mystery, bigger than loch ness why newcastle have never been a massive club. there fan base [ 90% geordie ] etc. they only seem to buy defenders every year, i'm a stoke fan and always respect them. sleeping giants far, far, to long x
We used to be giants up until the 50’s but won nothing since. You’re right it’s a mystery 🤷🏻♂️
Stoke should be back up soon too 👍🏻
Thank you for the message 😊
Man Utd and Newcastle Utd are famous big clubs.
I support Aberdeem FC in Scotland.
2 points lost Eddie what makes it worse is maxi and Wilson are out for a while what a bummer January can not come fast enough
January is going to be very, very, very tricky I hate to say… 😬
@@TynesideLife I no Eddy can see a lot of loan deals done it going to be the best way of doing it i think maybe buy 3 players rest on loan
@@clintmannion5598 I can’t even see that. Due to the latest Covid spread clubs will be reluctant to loan players unless they can replace them.
I can’t see more than 4 players coming in if we’re lucky.
Geordie from Ireland livin in Chicago..
Welcome Mattu 🤛🏻
I was at old Trafford your lot were a lot worse outside the Blaize in Manchester
They weren’t marching around the outside of the stadium intimidating families and kids 🤷🏻♂️
Manchester United haven't got anything to be arrogant about they have been really poor this season Newcastle are on the march they have had a good season and are only going to get better they could finish above United next season

Newcastle dreave win by miles was better team on day. Credit go to mangers and players. United fan to cockie for own good . Got what they dreave two point drop s. I hope you stay up. Alan shearer when he plays was my favourite player was great goalscorer the best. Good video have nice day.

As a city fan ....I love the geordies, can't wait for you to take over the rags . Send them one more place down the league..
👍🏻
I see lots of green shoots of a football team, the fans being the fertiliser with their support, who now believe in what they're told, how they are coached and understand their roles, non more so more so than Joelinton who now looks like and plays like a Brazilian 👍. Best performance of the season, with the Everton game off a blessing, Rafa can wait, down to January business add a striker to the list Amanda, how to get players here sit them down down and show them this game, let them hear the noise and passion of this club and what a special place it is...as for the opposition fans not worthy of comment.
Well said David and thanks for taking the time to comment 👍🏻
Great content again mate 👍 Manure fans wonder why they are the most hated in the country ! Back to the game that should be our benchmark for the rest of the season !👍
I’m hoping so Gary! We need to get at least 4 points in next two games for me
Oh did they scare you? Imagine walking round the stadium like that singing a few songs lol. Cheer up mate
And the barcodes wonder why they are viewed,as the most deluded.
Good luck too all Newcastle fans...enjoy your moment at the top flight long may it continue...you’ve deserved it...every fan should enjoy that moment...from a Blackpool fan...we at last did it..claim to fame top of the premiership for a few hours..lol..enjoy...
Still wonder how you didn't all 3. same old same old united fans they only livened up when they outnumbered you 10/1 or families
👍🏻
Great game, Newcastle should have won. Cracking match though. From a Chelsea fan, the best 'other team' entertainment over Xmas!

Don’t get this football tribalism ‘ think all fans have them ‘ so much aggression. Im a Leicester fan and we have them ‘ also Liverpool fans kicked off when we beat them on Tuesday. At the end of the day they just look idiots .
I agree. We have them too. It’s embarrassing
