That US&S teardrop bell sounds fantastic and only 2 remain on this line...if not the only 2 in Southern Florida. A great piece of the old SAL. great video!!
Really enjoyed this video...some of the track looked a little ruff...there were a few impatient drivers....wish we had a fruit market like one in the video
Jared G451 thanks man. I was shocked too. I thought it was gone. RTA is in charge of these crossings and they probably catered more to the larger ones.
Certain parts of these videos literally look like "the other side of the tracks." I live in Tampa but my job takes me to Miami every other day. Florida is truly a state like no other. Everything looks, feels and is done differently. Been here 3 years now and love it.
Very neat footage. What you're doing here not only makes for great railfan viewing right now, but it also documents for the future the present state of the local industrial traffic which as you say is changing. I guess it happen everywhere. Keep up the great work. Stay safe.
Frog and Flange Video thanks! You are right on point. I don't think it would be too extreme to say several Miami area rail lines, this included are practically endangered. Industrial rail logistics are evolving, and some of the factors such as attractive expanses out west and property value changes/gentrification make these more worth the while seeing.
Another great video! I love these. It’s nice to see trains on the rails that looks like they are never used! But just the switching action is even better!
Awesome catch as always especially with CSX Y322 the downtown switcher witch is very rare these days and I love ❤️ how everything gets done with only one engine and some of the crossings along the downtown spur doesn’t have any gates and just lights and bells and that makes it very dangerous to cross the crossing! 5 Stars +ToglaEastCoast and have yourself an awesome rest of the week good and stay safe!
What are the tank cars carrying. I’m trying to model an N Scale layout based on the downtown spur area, and there are suitable UTLX tank cars available.
@@TolgaEastCoast Love these switching videos...takes me back to when I was 10 years old and used to ride my ride to the grain elevator to watch a Penn Central GP-38 work the weed covered spurs.
I'm surprised that the train is moving so fast at ungated and unflagged railroad crossings. By the way what days and times does this switching happen? I want to catch it myself one day.
Exoress Delivers sometimes the angling of the camera makes it look fast, they're doing no more than 10mph. The train runs sporadically in the wee hours of the morning.
Exoress Delivers uh yeah, this particular run is the exception to the rule. In the other 2020 catches of this yard job the train is finishing up on the spur by daybreak.

And... it's gone
@@TolgaEastCoast really? The teardrop is gone? Sad. One or both are gone?

Thanks! I hear ya. Not much of them left. Some used to receive rail shipments back in the day too.
Excellent video, I enjoyed watching it please make more.👍😀🇬🇧
Thanks Tony! As long as these switch jobs continue to run I'll be out there gettin' em.
Great video! Thanks for posting.
Thanks!
Dude it's crazy that the old US&S Teardrop is still there. I wonder why CSX hasn't replaced this one, and the other one further down by now.

@@TolgaEastCoast Your most likely right on that, stay safe out there dude. Can't wait for the next video! :)
And it's gone. As of August 2021
Hey tolga the tri-rail f40ph-3c 807 and 809 were recently returned from rebuilding in georgia
Ah my old stomping grounds lol awesome video bro!!
Thanks Michael! Thought of ya.
I used to work in Opa Locka at a frozen food warehouse. Remember when they used to use flares at the crossings?

Thanks! I get a real kick out of watching switching action, and value catching scenes that remind us of the good old days in railroading.
It’s a full size version of Lance’s Layout - fantastic only thing missing is the crew chatter
John Pearson thanks! This video was all in all a quick grab, someday I plan to incorporate more crew audio
This a neat industrial complex. I hope you make more videos of this area.
Is good to see an old ndem car in service in USA, great video
