Love when you guys request the Triple J cover versions of songs! Rhiannon (Sticky Fingers) and Kids (The Kooks) are a couple others that have been requested on this channel so far so I will add this one to the list as well!! Thanks so much for your request Brandon!!! 🙏 🙌
Dude this is so good!!! My band has been trying to figure out inspirational by sticky fingers but can’t get it. Would you be able to figure it out? Cheers, Regan
What's up Regan and Will! Regan y'all must have the best setlist for real!! You should send me some clips of your band and I will repost them on the channel page!! Ask and you shall receive! I was planning on doubling up on OA but if you guys want some vintage STIFI I will see what I can throw together for y'all that hopefully captures the vibe!! 🙏 🙌 😎 🤙 🤙
Thank you for the lesson !! 🤙💥. Happy NY! Great to see some more Ocean Alley. New Dope Lemon album dropped also. Maybe some new tunes to get your teeth into.
What's up Paul! Yes some Ocean Alley just for you and I still have some more on the way that I've been putting off for a while now!! I'm loving the new Dope Lemon album! Of course there's the great singles on there that he already released but all the other songs on there are so vibey which is what Dope Lemon is all about for me!! 🍋 🍋 As far as new tunes go, I'm sure you are familiar with the Hottest 100 and that has been my go-to for the past few years for finding new bands and artists in general! I want to see who you guys are voting for specifically and if you guys think we should try to cover some new songs or bands from this year's Hottest 100 list! Beddy Rays is one of the bands I would really like to do personally but I want to see what you guys are interested in learning as well!! 🙏 🙌
@@LibertyLoftLessons Thank you very much - great to hear some more are planned. A lot of work no doubt. Can’t believe you’re aware of the hottest 100. Bit of an institution here in Aus. Listening parties - bbqs - many drinks for the occasion. Usually a really hot day also. Ties in with the theme I guess. Yes always on the hunt for new or undiscovered awesome tunes. A never ending quest. Keep rockin - we appreciate all the lessons.
I've actually voted the past few years actually. I think I found out about it when I started following my first few Aussie artists on IG like Tash, Dope Lemon, Ocean Alley, and others. Sticky Fingers of course also but you know how that is.... I mostly follow along by keeping up with the Triple J IG account. I think last year or the year before they started reposting other people's stories which showed them having beers and getting together for bbq's and all that stuff that you are talking about which looked so awesome! We definitely don't have anything like that here in the US and it's really a shame!! I know the big story last year was the Spacey Jane snubbing, at least for me. I definitely voted for them and was rooting for them to take the top spot from all the way here in the US and I even stayed up late at night (I think it had to be close to 2am here in the States) to listen to the Top 10 live but it wasn't to be. I was super excited to tune in and I remember thinking, "How many other people are also tuning in to Triple J so late at night here in the US?" It's probably just me but I love it. Best music in the world for me and it's definitely something I would like to experience one day if I can ever make it to Australia. I would say that and Splendor in the Grass are two bucket list items for me atm!
You’re a legend mate ! 🇦🇺 So cool and love the passion for music and Aussie artists. Hope you get down here some time. Ah COVID. Not making travel easy. I was lucky enough to get to the US January 2020 for a month just before it all kicked off. Went to some random gigs in LA but was mainly doing the tourist thing. Got up to Colorado also. Fingers crossed some of your favs feature. Agreed wouldn’t be too many people up in the middle of the night listening and following the count down. Keep the lessons coming please they go down well with your subs. Being a bit of a newb I must say easier to pick up when you break down each section and give the various tips on the way through rather than at the end. Appreciate most dont probably need that. Can now play Mako Road thanks to you. Loving it !! Cheers Paul. 🙏🔥🎸👊🤙
That's so cool! I feel like I would have the same type of itinerary if I made it to Australia as far as going to random gigs and such! I've actually never been out to LA before but I am planning on attending a bachelor party in San Diego later this year! Colorado offers the best skiing. We took a family trip to Steamboat Springs the week of Christmas 2019 just before covid hit and of course I haven't been able to get back there since but I will be going back in a few weeks to hit Copper Mountain and Vail so I am super excited about that! Also, it is home to Red Rocks Amphitheatre which is a very famous concert venue here. One of my friends said they wanted to go see a band called The Revivalists there this summer and I said I would go with if they went with me to see Tash Sultana two days after so that may be happening as well. I don't think I would be able to miss out on seeing Tash perform there ha I think that would be the perfect first Red Rocks experience no doubt!! So glad to hear you are enjoying the lessons Paul! For me, there's nothing quite like learning and playing along to your favorite artists and songs! I'm glad we share such similar taste and get the same enjoyment out of learning these songs and bands like Mako Road! I don't really need any extra motivation to try to learn any of these songs but you guys have been providing that to me in spades since Day 1 and I am forever grateful for that!! Keep rocking brother 🤘 🤘 😎
Love the video for Space Goat and Parking Fines has been heavily requested so I will definitely add both to my to-do list!! Thanks so much for your requests Ambitionmma!!! 🙏🙌
I've gotten so many requests for songs from Low Altitude Living so I will definitely add this one to the list! I actually have the vinyl sitting on the shelf behind me as I type this!! Thanks so much for your request and for being a subscriber Alex!!! 🙏🙌❤️
