Thank you so much for this video! I'm trying to get more experience with watercolours, but was getting frustrated with my slow progress. This was a very simple tutorial to follow with a beautiful end result - I'm quite proud of how mine turned out!
I love this for a quick and easy lemon painting. I need more practice but not bad for a first go. Any chance you can do some close ups of things like the blossom detail? That would be terrific.

I discovered your channel after reading a review of your book on botanical painting which is posted on Parka Blogs, a Singaporean artist blog. If I may suggest a watercolor tutorial, how about painting autumn leaves? Thank you for your tutorials. They are helpful. I don’t have a lot of talent, so your lessons are of tremendous help and encourage me to keep going.
Wonderful! Yes, I have an autumn leaf tutorial next on the list, I'm brimming with ideas for Autumn, I cant wait! I'm so grateful to you for watching the videos, thanks so much.
Lovely simple but effective lemon painting.
Thank you! Cheers!
I know this is an older video, but I just watched it and painted a most cheerful lemon.
Ah Susan that’s wonderful!
Just lovely! I can feel the beautiful sunshine on that lemon.
Me too!
I love the dappling technique along with the use of water to fill in the middle of the lemon on the first pass. It leaves such a lovely highlight!
Thanks Kim, yes it's probably my favourite part of painting citrus fruit.
I love that you are left handed and make this look easy...going to replay & try later! Thanks!
Great stuff!
The lemon is so fresh. It’s suitable for summer. I enjoy watching your video. Thank you🌹

Excellent and thanks so much! I've a bottle of Winsor Newton granulating medium today and a lemon would be a good one to try it on! 🎨
