- Soooooooooooooooo I got bored, was on youtube and decided to watch a video, I ended up watching Taesty Kookie's video:

I was inspired by this video; to; create my own and so I did! i originally planned on formatting my video really similar to Taesty Kookie's, buuuuuut I got carried away, and ended up making a 23 minute video based on all my fave kpop idols ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is the very first video that I have ever made about anything, so please don't judge my video making skills too harshly lol. I may have messed up on some parts, and I'm sorry about that! Also I tried including as many artists that I could, but the video was getting really long, and I never intended on that to happen, I mainly just created this video to send to my brother bc he doesn't understand why I love kpop so much, so yeah!

You definitely deserve it, this video is definitely one of the best I've seen in describing what K-pop is to non-kpoppers ( idk, is that word? ), other videos I've seen barely touch the surface and always put extremely popular groups that everyone knows in every category ( not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that there's a lot of underrated talent too, y'know? ) and the video ends up being not that diverse. This is an amazing video, especially great for your first video ♡

It was absolutely perfect, you even added groups I wasnt expecting at all, because they are so underrated. I would have loved to see fire or bst when you talked about dancing, but I completely understand you have to keep the video as balanced as possible. Also thought señorita (VAV) would make sense in latin xD

@i m yo mom stan NCT, ateez for clear skin I never said they were better than them, but they are different. Seventeen and nct make impressive dances but they are a lot of them which helps, they also can get to complicated at times which just gets ridiculous instead of focusing on the music, it doesnt go well. Also there are different types of hardness, not everything is about syncronization. In any case, I mention them, because jhope and jimin are some of the best dancers in kpop
@i m yo mom stan NCT, ateez for clear skin on the contrary, being more, means you concentrate less on each person, you look at the overall picture. I never said synchronization wasnt hard, but it isnt what makes dances hard, exclusively. Also no, I dont think it goes well always, its like adding dances to ballads, when its unecesary, many groups now add coreos which or dont match, or are too much. Im not saying they are bad, I just dont see the hype for NCT, I keep seeing people say they are the best and I've tried but I cant. I find seventeen to be a different matter, they are cleaner than nct, and on stage they also show certain skills and overall more synchronized since you concentrate on that.
I never said you thought BTS dances werent hard, or that nct and seventeen dont do amazing, all I said was that I think sometimes people confuse impressive with hard. The same way people think somthing is harder just because of the concept
Small pointer, I also think dances should be done to be at the level of all the members, sometimes when I watch NCT and they do a harder move its always the same two guys, and when you focus on the rest they struggle, its not bad, but it makes the coreo messy at times. Its okay to have the best in front, but they need to adapt.
(Also I didnt mention Taemin, kai and other groups because I was talking about BTS, just wanted to clear that up, Im not trying to be biased)

I have seen a lot, I dont make up my mind about something without researching into it. Also I wasnt talking about members struggling on stage, but in the proper dance practices. Im not being biased, at all, I dont stan seventeen and I dont stan NCT, therefore its not wether I like a group more or less, Im not talking about my taste but techniques and excution. Also not stanning someome or saying they arent the best, doesnt mean I cant listen to their music, people who say they arent the best arent necesarilly missing out on their music.
Anyone who goes on stage expecting to not pit in energy, is a bad performer, it doesnt matter if you are 4 or 15. Numbers doesnt affect how each member performs individually, but it does affect when some members arent as talented as others, or mistakes are made, since you look at the whole things as a machine, and not individual dancers, dancing together. It also helps because you can make impressive coreo, without having to necesarilly having to use difficult techniques or a lot of stamina

You were the one who mentioned them not being good because small stages, not me, I was talking about dance practice. All I said was that many artirts have performed in smaller stages and Ive never seen that affect their performance, it was tighter bit the moves were still clean and sharp.

This is by far the best 'Send this to someone who doesn't like k-pop' I've seen, and i've seen A LOT
This was probably one of the best of these I’ve seen. My only problem was that mamamoo wasn’t in the amazing vocals section even though they’re known as the vocal queens of kpop? (Or in the retro section when they’ve done retro songs from the 20s, 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc, but that’s a bit more forgivable)
I tried adding in as many groups/artists as I could, while also making the video as even as possible (meaning like i wanted both boy and girl groups in every section, and an even amount of songs in every category too) without making it too long!! So i just decided to add in mamamoo in the jazz section. Sorry! I really do love Mamamoo though, they are such talented women!!
Every time it's a categorie I say "Omagod Please "This group" or "This artist" And u ALWAYS mention them!! *YOU CAN SEE TALENT i'm telling ya*

i really appreciate that you spread the examples out more evenly rather than make it super obvious which group you bias. some videos are titled "why you should like kpop" when really, it should be titled "why you should like BTS" as most of the examples are BTS because they just simply could not find the time to listen to more groups or they solely think that kpop revolves around BTS.
Well BTS is a talented group (and is also my bias group) I just know that there are many many more groups/artists out there that deserve recognition and are just as talented as some of the more known groups. Thanks for the comment !! :)

There is a lot of contradictions in the ways we say kpop is good. Some people use the lyrics, claiming that they are so deep and that’s why they like kpop. Some people, like this video, claim that lyrics don’t matter and it is about the feeling. Some haters find this as a weak point, since the two points contradict. However, lyrics are both important and not important. They are amazing and for some, are the best part of the entire song, and for some, do not matter. One should not make you hate kpop. Hating kpop for language is hypocritical when you listen to American rap that is either in Spanish or in mumble (totally incomprehensible).
