Welcome to the second installment of Friday’s Flowers, where we have personal stories of black men speaking their truth about giving flowers to ones they love.
This interview features our beloved brother, Sherman Hamilton w/ Jay Martin.
I was totally moved by my brothers' vulnerability and honesty of losing their parents at very young ages. All I can think of when I watch this interview is, the ones who love us are always there - standing beside us. Always. Even in our darkest of hours, we are never alone. Whether it's the energy surrounding you, as part of the land as they lay in rest, as a matter on this planet, or above in heaven; no matter your beliefs, they are there. They will always be a part of you - and no one or anything can take that from you. In times of fear, trouble, danger, joy, happiness, and sadness, they are by your side and are a literal part of you. You are never, ever alone.
