Dude! So happy to hear the update - thank you. As an ICU RN who specialized in Neuro and having had many patients with ruptured aneurysms, please, do me a favor . . . DON'T SELF-DIAGNOSE!! We ALL do it and (human nature) please listen to your body AND doctor and follow-up in a timely manner. And, as sexist as this sounds: more of my patients were men than women and the men often came in too late or came in due to their wife's good sense. Warrants a super celebration! p.s. I know a few of those docs with the horrible bed side manner who are brilliant surgeons and chose surgery for that very reason (preferring an unconscious patient). I believe you absolutely did the right thing by getting a 2nd, and so glad to hear he saw what others missed.
Hi Brian, I’m so happy to hear this from you. When you got to the end of the story my eyes were full of tears because I can totally relate to your problem. There is a mass in my brain where all my movements nerves come together and has impacted my walking very badly in my left leg for the past 17 years. I had 2 brain biopsies with absolutely zero results and had gotten to the point that couldn’t walk without brace even for 5 minutes. After all the doctors that I had seen at the moment told me that I have to accept this fact that this is going to be my life for as long as I’m living I could not ACCEPT it and decided to take control of my health. Now, I have two beautiful boys and a big backyard garden ,which pulled me through my tough times, and of course the support of my loving husband and my walking has been improved by 50% without brace in the past 7 years, despite the mass still being in my brain.
Congratulations! Each of us must walk through our own “dark nights of the soul”. Wishing you continued health and happiness and much success in all of your endeavors. And please ensure you attend those check-ups in a timely manner. Don’t allow even one moment of this glorious opportunity we call life slip away.
A friend of mine has had a couple of aneurysms for years. She was not satisfied with local doctors and went to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and they told her not to be anxious and that she would most likely not have serious problems (not the one in 15,000). She goes for annual checkups and is doing very well! We pray that you will continue to do well, too!

It genuinely does help! There's so much new research that's been going into like hormonal and inflammation regulation tied to meditation and stuff. Legit, learning to be calm and stay calm does help! Even like my boyfriend's uncle's onco nurse told him anger feeds his cancer, so learn to stay calm because it is pretty true. It truly does help!! Keep meditating and telling those damn things to gtfo....calmly!!

Fantastic video! I lost my dad at 42 to an aortic aneurysm, and his father died at 36 due to a brain aneurysm. Serious business. I’m so delighted to hear your doing better, and meditation is working for you. I had a spinal tumor removed with a thoracic laminectomy and spinal cord resection almost 3 years ago, and have been interested in the power of meditation and guided visualization in healing with all of my post-surgical issues. Thank you for being so open and encouraging us all to believe in getting back after a difficult diagnosis. I’m sure the garden helps. It helps me immensely.

Not all are as strong, courageous and as resilient as you are. Be proud. From a medical standpoint, please don't wait to find a doctor until closer to your scan. Get established right away. It's best to be prepared for any situation and you want to be in control of who your doctor is. Get established so you can get that first long appointment out of the way. It's more difficult to schedule new client pts due to time requirements for a new pt. Again, so proud of you! Such strong Resilience!!

Brian, I know how you feel on the weight and the relief. My Neurologist had me scanned to monitor another issue I have and discovered an aneurysm on my carotid artery. However, the recommendation was to have it repaired. This happened at the end of 2020. My relief was tremendous upon learning the surgery was successful. Much luck and I hope all continues to go well with you.

I struggle with anxiety as well. It's crippling and it manifests itself in crazy ways. I recently begain meditation and self awareness techniques. It's very helpful. I'm glad you are doing better!

Great to hear! I’m on my third neuro, who all just say, “you just have migraines… fuggetaboutit.” This revolving door medical stuff has to stop. No more local family doctor anymore it seems. I have to carry what the neurosurgeon says to the neurologist, then to my pain management doc instead of them all talking together. Anyway, congrats to you!
Anyone who says "you just have migraines" has never had a migraine. It's more than a bad headache, it effects your whole body and being. I have largely managed mine through diet and scent avoidance but I still get them occasionally. I pray that you find relief from yours.

My pain mgmt doc thinks bulged discs are causing more reaction from surrounding muscles than typical, causing occipital neuralgia and basically stress migraines without the stress because my neck and shoulders are involuntarily tightening. I get trigger points, epidurals, and this morning got facet joint injections (I call him my pain provider LOL), and they curb the migraines for a time. At one ER visit when I first started having vision issues, the nurse literally said to me: “scans show it’s just a neck injury…” Be well!
@@carolmccollum9341 In my experience (I hope this isn’t true of all): the ER wants to know if you’re dying. If not, it’s no longer their problem. My doc told me: “If anything gets worse, go to ER.” I did as I was told, then was told to go home 😂 27 months into treatment, and the symptoms persist. With physical therapy, chiropractic, injections, and massage, I’m getting by!

I struggle with anxiety as well. It's crippling and it manifests itself in crazy ways. I recently begain meditation and self awareness techniques. It's very helpful.

Great to hear! I’m on my third neuro, who all just say, “you just have migraines… fuggetaboutit.” This revolving door medical stuff has to stop. No more local family doctor anymore it seems. I have to carry what the neurosurgeon says to the neurologist, then to my pain management doc instead of them all talking together. Anyway, congrats to you!
Anyone who says "you just have migraines" has never had a migraine. It's more than a bad headache, it effects your whole body and being. I have largely managed mine through diet and scent avoidance but I still get them occasionally. I pray that you find relief from yours.
@@cityofoaks Thanks, and absolutely right. My pain mgmt doc thinks bulged discs are causing more reaction from surrounding muscles than typical, causing occipital neuralgia and basically stress migraines without the stress because my neck and shoulders are involuntarily tightening. I get trigger points, epidurals, and this morning got facet joint injections (I call him my pain provider LOL), and they curb the migraines for a time. At one ER visit when I first started having vision issues, the nurse literally said to me: “scans show it’s just a neck injury…” Be well!

@@carolmccollum9341 In my experience (I hope this isn’t true of all): the ER wants to know if you’re dying. If not, it’s no longer their problem. My doc told me: “If anything gets worse, go to ER.” I did as I was told, then was told to go home 😂
27 months into treatment, and the symptoms persist. With physical therapy, chiropractic, injections, and massage, I’m getting by!
