I have a 5AX 1963 green Sterling as well and I particularly like its LOUD bell. I also have two Classic 5X models from 1964 that are identical to the Sterling except the bell is smaller and not nearly as loud. All are just super typewriters.

Isn't that one suppose to have a travail case?
All typewriters originally came with a case. Whether it survived throughout the years is different for each machine.
Still a baby boomer up to 1964......😄
