I’m sitting alone in the burn building at our fire training academy, listening to this joy. Command and Conquer series music has fueled a lot of my training times, especially since my dad passed, since we used to play the originals together
@@befayedocrimes4751 Thanks, and I agree; there are great 90s/early 2000s PC soundtracks that are overlooked. Tough to remix though, in a lot of cases.
Phenomenal work. Just started dabbling in RUclips again and tempted to try my hand with editing. I have definite plans to incorporate this track. It just hits so right, the mood is spot on, and it screams silent uncertainty in a war torn atmosphere. Keep up these amazing bangers. Eager to hear more should the inspiration strike.
I like that the sounds from 0.20 to 1.20 are a lot like someone tuning long wave /medium wave radio, searching through the wavelengths, turning the dial, not receiving any stations, just getting a tiny crackle of something for a second but not strong enough to hear any actual sound, maybe just an extremely distorted spoken voice beyond recognition, then back to the nothing. Really reflects the lone man searching for some kind of humanity idea.
A lone trooper, GDI and Nod bodies litter the desolate ever hostile landscape. There was no enemy, no victory. Only the boys of two tribes who were slaughtered in the sand. A green glowing alien world peeks over the bleak horizon in one direction, an ion storm developing in the other. This soldier turns the dial, nothing discernible, static. There's only utter carnage whilst aimlessly moving out, searching for a way home.
I really wanted to convey what it could be like as a real "lone trooper" with this piece, isolated in a vast, hostile expanse.
Absolutely awesome job IMO, and it's so nice to see more attention to the great PC classics on OCR!
Would love more in the future. :)
I get serious Starbound FU vibes from this. Great work!
