I don't think you need to worry too much about the Festa dinner being heavy to watch. It was back when it came out but then we were all kinda shocked that they were all saying they wouldn't do things as BTS for a while and we didn't fully know or understand what that would look like because we didn't know about the military and solo projects fully and they didn't really either know how we would react. So much was up in the air and it was so much tension back then about them enlisting etc so watching it now when we know they went on happy each doing their own thing, still things coming out during their military time, Jin soon being back etc etc it's not that heavy to watch. And people got so carried away watching it so there were misunderstandings and unnecessary sadness by fans on twitter which made watching it more sad. And now it's also easier to understand what they meant by what they were saying. And yes it was emo and some tears but now it's more like looking back "oh right, that's how it was back then". They have also said like "Why did we get so emo at that dinner?" but they were drinking, going into unknown things, still not fully told us about the military etc so it was nerves and stuff.

Those type of breakdowns of their albums from the members are always so intersting to watch and yes wholesome if another member is here too ^^ Oh by the way the name of Namjoon's friend you were searching is John Eun ^^ Also I really wanted to talked abut the Festa 2022. Of course, you need to do what you are comfortable with first, but I really don't think that it is that heavy to watch. First in contrary to what most people make it feel like, the majority of the video is either light hearted/funny, or pretty serious but not really in a so emotional way more like "that's how we felt at this time and that's how things went this way or this way". I'm not going to lie, there is some emotional moments, especially towards the end, but it also doesn't have the same impact watching it now when we are closer to the moment where they will all come back together than the moment where the hiatus started. (I mean Jin is coming back in less than 20 days ...!!!!). In addition they were pretty vague with it at this moment, so obviously majority of ARMYs guessed it was for the military but then comes what really made that whole moment a mess : Medias : Both korean and international ones started to report about this like it was the end of the world, and 99% never actually watched the video so they just pushed complete false narratives based on a few short clips on social media. Mostly that BTS were actually disbanding, or basically starting the usual "boyband hiatus phase", wanted to go solo etc... And a lot of people, inclunding many ARMYs, most of k-pop fans (and probably even some people that have said this to you or that you have seen talking about it) didn't watched the FULL video either. So there is this stigma about this video being a "trauma" kind of experience that is pushed by many people who are very ignorant of the entire context. And even for the ARMYs that were understanding all of that on the moment, that was another stressfull moment for us because of the whole mess it created. JK came on livestream a couple days after to clarify that no they were NOT disbanding (and some other things that I won't spoil now but it was very funny 😂) and RM posted a pretty angry letter on weverse about medias and people spreading all of those narratives without bothering to watch the full video basically. Anyways, this is just to give you another point of view about this video, I do think it's a pretty important one to watch but in the end if you don't feel it this is also valid and you need to do what you enjoy and are comfortable with ! :) Also side note, but if you enjoy this type of video (breakdown of their songs/albums with the members) there is a series of videos that I really want to talk about. It's the "BE-hind" interviews. They did this for their BE album (pandemic album from november 2020). All the members participated in the album production process and those interviews are each member interviewing another member about their participation and it was so interesting (each video is around 15/20 minutes) and funfact MiniMoni are also paired up for one of the interviews ^^ And I'm going to stop here, I just realized the length of this comment, sorry ! Breakaway - Since U Been Gone It is the MV they release on album day and send to radio and music shows. Its not to do with the title of the song. Weeks before BH sent out the tracklist highlighting what was the title track.

About the Festa 2022... Maybe if you don't feel sure about it, record while watching it but don't feel pressured to release it if you don't want? But I think watching it now, when all this time had passed and all the other content you've seen, I might not be as emotionally heavy as watching it that day. So no even before this confirmation it was most likely NOT for the military, why would he have needed that? Jimin was in very good shape to go to the military, him dieting could only be for some recording of dance or MV or modelling or all 3. If it would have been for the military bulking would have made more sense, not losing weight.

What i got everything he said was that he never felt relaxed in BTS, he was mostly stressed. He loves the members, they are like family to him and he'll the return to the team because he feels like he owes them, he feels obligated.

But some of the things he expressed here it just seems that he didn't enjoy being in the team that much, the pressure was too much. He said when he watched old videos he realized he was never relaxed. Even toward the end when Jimin tried to reassure him that they really appreciated him as leader and were influenced by what he says he still seemed uneasy. This was done like 6 months ago though so maybe he was still feeling anxious at that time and I'm just misinterpreting his facial expressions. I wasn't sure if he was actually excited about regrouping, he may be worried about the pressure to come.

When they were small and new, they were under constant pressure to succeed (from themselves to succeed in their careers and by the company that was teetering on bankruptcy). He was the leader and if the team failed he would have been “responsible” and could have felt he would have failed them, their families, their fans, their coworkers, the company. As they grew bigger, he was under constant pressure to represent Korea as a whole to the entire world. So he felt he had to hold back a LOT, when BTS and himself were under constant criticism and scrutiny by everyone, including their own country. Of course he is not looking forward to going back to being the center of everyone’s unrealistic and asinine expectations. No one in their right mind would be looking forward to that. This does not mean that he does not want to be a part of BTS anymore. In the context of this discussion of the album with Jimin, Namjoon says he feels obligated and owes them. Because as he discusses with Jimin, he left the team for a year. He left them to work things out on his own, while they stepped up and supported the group during his absence. How many lives did JK do, and for hours on end? How many quick little check-ins did Tae give us? Jin recorded and released so many hello videos to talk monthly with us. Yoongi created a whole show and even went on tour to stay connected with us. Jimin would say hi on Weverse or comment on the others lives, and released Closer Than This. So yes, he feels obligated and grateful to his team, that stepped up when he withdrew. That’s what a team is for.
