He was just using the thing wrong, I'm pretty sure. I think you're supposed to squat in it, for more quad isolation, which is safe. Obviously doing it that guy's way is not lol
@@withoutdaysofficial Even so, squatting in it would shift more load to the hips than what he was doing. But either way for every inch his center of mass travels behind his feet, more stress is shifted directly to his ACL instead of his muscles. Doing a deep upright front squat (heels elevated if necessary) with lots of knee travel over the toes would be a much better way to emphasize the quads. I'd just go lighter and hit it for 10-20RM if worried about meniscus integrity.
Girl on smith machine was stood on bench, she must of slipped off
👍👍
Looked like an ACL tear to me. (Dude in the lean-back contraption with the plate on his chest.)
Yeah...this is what happens when people listen to "knees over toes" guy.
@@yew2oob954 Just guessing, but I'm pretty sure Ben Patrick wouldn't condone that contraption either. At least not loaded like that.

@@krisreilly8856 For sure, that's why I just stick to standard exercises 🤣I personally just do heel-elevated goblet squats for more load on the quads
