Jack and Maddie would be awesome grandparents to Danny and Sam’s future kids unlike Sam’s parents who would be boring and dull grandparents despite them being rich.
I can see Sam's parents as smothering grandparents who may use their wealth to spoil their grandkids but can be strict and controlling towards them and disapprove of them ghost hunting.

But she was able to escape from the same spoiled and pampered parents for a different destiny - to travel with friends around the world and fight evil, especially since her earthbending skills allow her

One of her parents most likely carries the recessive gene of black hair meeting it's in their DNA, but it doesn't outwardly manifest on their appearance. Certain traits can skip a generation like one parent could have OCD and their grandkid could get it, but not their own kids.
