Thank your for watching and taking time to comment! Always great to get feedback... (-: There are some amazing places in the NW, and fun to share...Thanks again!
Great video, and awesome rove! It's been a while since I've been to Mazama - I used to go there with friends to cross country ski. Thanks for taking us along! 73 de KJ7LLX
Thank you so much for sharing a quick comment, and love that you've been around Mazama as well! It was a great time away while kids were back in school, and glad weather held out. (-: 73, James
Thank you Jeff! Views started out pretty dramatic at the Diablo overlook, and was fun to capture the 2 day adventure and hear all the great chasers along the way! Nice you got a shorter call! 73, James
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing your contacts. How cool is that you could reach over into France and Australia. Beginner ham here (KK7KAQ) here in Ridgefield, WA but it's fun seeing what you can do with the hobby. Was up in Stehekin on the other side of the pass during those fires over the summer, nice to see the road through Diablo is reopened. 73s
Thank you Carson! It's fun to share some of these ham radio adventures, and watching others on RUclips about 5 years ago is one of the things that got me more excited about ham radio. (-: Awesome to hear you are a beginner ham! There are so many aspects to the hobby, and sometimes you get surprised by great contacts like France and Australia! Our family camping plans were cancelled due to Hwy 20 being closed and fires this year, and agree it was nice to be reopened in Sep. There was some smoke while driving over that day, but didn't see any fire...it was definitely a dramatic view from Diablo overlook! 73, and welcome to the hobby! (-:

Great video! It’s fun to be able to follow along on your hikes. I’m jealous of all the SOTA summits in the NW.
