Why did God call Zechariah?
Rather, despite Israel's cycle of disobedience, God faithfully remembered his promises and still desired a relationship with them. So, God continued to reach out and pursue them. God gave Zechariah an oracle - a message - to serve as a love note to his people

I also believe every word of the Bible. And I believe that if they will fight on animals then that's all we will have or that will work. And if we can afford to travel every year to see our God then governments taxing us to death will be totally gone . Yes Lord.
Except it doesn't mention them fighting on animals. We have to remember what these nations were doing in Jerusalem in the first place;
Zechariah 14:2 (KJV) For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Those people who came against Jerusalem, are taking everything, including animals, from the Israelites. The animals in their camps are very likely the spoils of war....who knows.

It's good to remember that Revelation describes global catastrophes occurring. Distribution chains would be destroyed under those circumstances, and many things would revert away from technology by necessity. What God has promised will certainly be fulfilled. We'll know the exact details and have all our questions answered after He fulfills His promises. It's so good to know the God of Israel has everything under control.

what I don't get yet - is Zechariah 14:12
12 This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. 13 On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. 14 Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected-great quantities of gold and silver and clothing. 15 A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
this is a worrysome description of a plague that isn't familiar to us yet.
has to be something with drugs - or a chemical warfare that we haven't seen yet.
however - we are getting close to the day of the lord - with 'the holy war' beginning right before our eyes -
televised for the world to see.

Revelations was written by someone called "john of Patmos" more than 100 years after the death of Jesus. It was the last book to be included in the Bible, because many Christians disagreed with it or thought it was nonsense.
In fact, it is a denunciation of the Roman Empire (the "scarlet woman") and angry predictions about its downfall, which the author hoped for with all his rage.
The Empire did fade away, but only hundreds of years after Revelations was written, and without the fantasy stories John of Patmos dreamed up. In the meantime, Christianity had become the official religion of the Empire.
The people who are fascinated by Revelations are those who find the teaching of Jesus boring, and the Old Testament mostly boring and hard to understand. They want drama, excitement, weirdness, curses, and anger in their religion, just as they want those things in movies and on TV.
While these "Christians" entertain themselves with weird creatures, riddles, and other exciting junk, they ignore what Jesus said about living your daily life, wishing only for your daily bread and for God's will to be done.

What was the work of Zechariah in the Bible?
Among Zechariah's visions was one that described four apocalyptic horsemen who presaged God's revival of Jerusalem after its desolation during the Babylonian Exile. Other visions announced the rebuilding of the Temple and the world's recognition of Yahweh, Israel's God.

Took me years to figure it out
But when I read the first chapter/verse of revelation it made COMPLETE sense that it was SIGNIFIED
Meaning metaphors were used throughout this book
Even the end of the chapter proves it when John was told the stars meaning and the lamp stands in verse 20
This proves that in chapter 12, that the two witnesses are the lampstands better known as the end times saints who fight against the antichrist chapter 13, verse seven
I say all that to say this, Jerusalem is in the end times actually the new Jerusalem
All the rest of the world is fighting against it, because they have pledge allegiance to the antichrist
Therefore, holiness is coming to the world as God since Jesus down to straighten up the mess
Is the final judgment has been recapitulated as in Zachariah chapter 14 as Jesus coming with the Saints touching down on mount of olives
And revelation is the battle of Magog and Armageddon, and in chapter 14 it’s when he puts the sickle reaping the inhabitants of the earth Jesus rips the Saints to the clouds, and the other angel rips the wicked to the lake of fire
This is when the men hide in the caves and piss in their pants, because the terror of the Lord
And then Zachariah chapter 14 recapitulates this also

Thanks for your question, Paul. Revelation 14:1 speaks of "Mount Zion" rather than "Mount Moriah," although both mounts are generally thought to be a part of Jerusalem. Your own research will do you well, but definitely make sure to see Zechariah 12 and Zechariah 14 in your research. Both of those chapters speak of Messiah Jesus' second coming. 2 Thessalonians 2 also gives info about Jesus' return. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15 speaks a lot about resurrection at or around Jesus' return. We would encourage you to create a Google doc or a Word doc and copy these word for word from the Scriptures into a document. Then, looking at them all together, and adding others as you find them, begin developing your theology straight from Scripture. Also, we are more than happy to have you view our other videos as they are released. We publish one to two videos per week. Enjoy!

The seven headed beast of Revelation 17:
The seven heads are symbolic of seven kingdoms, starting with the beast of Daniel chapter 7
1st < Babylon
2nd < Medo-Persia
3rd < Greece
4th < Pagan Rome
5th < Papal Rome; the little horn
("that was" & "is not" & "yet is")
6th < "one is"

The woman that rides the beast is in captivity at the time of John's vision, AFTER receiving the deadly wound from the (atheist) beast from the bottomless pit [Rev 11:7]. This is the beast of THE TIME of John's vision IN THE WILDERNESS.
(Meaning that John is in the wilderness in his vision and not physical on Patmos, and he sees a beast that would come up from out of this wilderness. Read Job 38:26.)
The 7th < "is not yet come"
At the time of John's vision *in the wilderness* this head of the beast was yet to come; this is *the beast from out of the earth* [Rev 13:11];
(And he shall exercise all of the power of the first beast...) when this beast will speak like a dragon.
This beast must continue a short time, as per the others before him.
I believe by the testimony of Jesus, that we are now living in that "short time".
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
{Revelation 17:8}
:11...even he is the eighth, AND IS OF THE SEVEN, and ascends out of the bottomless pit and goes into perdition.
--There are seven heads at the time of John's vision, five kings/heads/beast are fallen, so this eighth is of the seven kingdoms...."that was"...."and is not"...."yet is" AND received a deadly wound; AND his deadly wound was healed.
This wound is the loss of her (the woman/church that rides the beast.) temporal sword (also her captivity), which is the earthly secular world kingdom.
This is the image of the beast (that great city), who like Babylon of antiquity, who thinks to usurp church and state craft.
The number eight is a metaphor for the resurrection. The eighth is resurrected from a former head of the seven; the 5th head that received a deadly wound.
(When he shall go into perdition: this will be the final dispensation of this beast with seven heads, that is a metaphor for satan.)

by counting the letter values of the Greek transliteration;
I(10), E(8), S(200), O(70), U(400), S(200).
In antiquity the mountain was not only a metaphor for a kingdom, but it was also symbolic of the head of a (river) dragon that was symbolic of a river that flows out from a mountain, after the spring thaw and overflowing its banks, spreading out in the form of the dragon's tail.
The color is scarlet because it is symbolic of the blood of the saints of the Lord.
A woman in prophecy is always a metaphor for a church, in this case (Jezebel) it is the fallen temple of God.
The false prophet, a lamb (Christ like) with two horns, and/but will speak like a dragon (a wolf in sheep's clothing), will be the beast (from out of the earth ... the USA) that will make an image unto the first beast from out of the sea, who received a deadly wound and his deadly wound was healed.
The two horns are a metaphor for two (equal) kingdoms in one, church and state craft.
Medo-Persia also is expressed as having two horns [Dan 8:3], but one was higher, (Persia) and eventually usurps the other.
This is the image of the first beast from out of the sea (Papal Rome). Once the wall of separation of church and state is lost, then will the second beast from out of the earth become the image of the first beast, who claims the authority of both church and state.
Even so, come Lord Jesus. Amen.

zechariah 14 verse 4, seems to have happened yesterday,
The Mount of Olives has not split yet and Jesus has not returned. Zechariah 14 is a prophecy regarding a future day.

Why do I see a non Biblical Nine candle Menorah being displayed here, and not the Official Seven Candle Menorah representing the Feasts of Yahweh's (Leviticus 23: 2, 37 _ Exodus 37: 17-23_ 25: 31-37)? After all, the 7th and last Feast to Yahweh, Tabernacle, is mentioned in Three verses in Zechariah 14, verses 16, 18, 19. If you are saved through Jesus Christ second Covenant you will be Eternal when you get to Heaven at the start of Tribulation. Jesus Christ and His Saints and Angels with Him including the 144,000 will return to Earth after 7 years. When Jesus Christ sets foot on the Mount of Olives.
To God, there are His Chosen People and us Gentiles. The Apostle Paul tells us, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek”

What about The New Jerusalem? New Jerusalem and Old Jerusalem 2 different places.
The old Jerusalem and the New Jerusalem are two different places. Read Revelation 19:11 through Revelation 21:5 or so for a very, very clear description of the timeline from the old Jerusalem to the New Jerusalem. Jesus will reign for 1,000 years from the old Jerusalem, and only after the end of this worn out world and the creation of "the new heavens and new earth" will the New Jerusalem be ready for us to see. :) Could you read Revelation 19:11-21:5 and get back to let us know what you think? :)
There are three (literal) but they are one (figurative) . Three, the number 3, God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, but they are one in unity for one example. They are God, but are three of them. Apply the figurative statement to a literal situation. Just agreeing makes three one in unity. A Childs faith will read about a mountain casting itself into the sea and take it literal, where as an adult see it all knows all will have more trouble believing it a literal statement and think it is figurative.

No one knows the future except God. And He isn't telling this fool what the future is.
The Bible is not a crystal ball, full of riddles about the future. It is a record of the Law, of the history of Israel, of the saying of the prophets, and of the songs of David and his son Solomon (along with some other stuff like the Book of Job).
The Gospels tell the story of the life of Jesus and what he preached, and the miracles he performed. Mostly he taught people how to live in a godly way, to forgive enemies, not to worry about money, to avoid violence, to pray a simple prayer asking only for enough bread for the day.
He also talked about the coming end of the world, and he said it would happen "before this generation passes away". He was wrong. That generation passed away 2000 years ago, and the world has not ended. Like others who try to predict the future, he got it wrong, That doesn't mean that his teaching is no good. For the most part his teaching is very good.
The Bible is not particularly exciting to read. Much of it is quite boring. The words of the prophets, who were talking about events in their own time, are often boring.
So many people make up stories based on a few words in the Bible and these stories are full of fantasy, often very ugly fantasy, of war, destruction, punishment, revenge, and, in heaven, a boring eternity of singing hymns and nothing else.
Some people want their religion to be exciting, full of drama, like sci fi movie or a horror movie. They are missing the point. Jesus was not trying to stun people with exciting stories. He was telling people how to live day by day.
It's too bad that so many con artists, liars, fakers, crooks and phones try to make money by hyping up the fantasies, and ignoring the real teaching of Jesus. But they are happy to use Jesus's name as a sales pitch.

God does not have "integrity". God is almighty, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, eternal and incomprehensible to humans. He has no need to prove himself -- he has no needs at all, since he is perfect.
Jesus was mistaken in believing that the end of the world was about to occur "before this generation passeth away". He was not speaking in riddles. He thought that it would happen before the people he was speaking to would die. That is what "generation" means, not thousands of years. His disciples certainly thought that's what he meant, as they expected Jesus to return in glory during their lifetimes. But he did not return, nor did the world end. Jesus was wrong on that matter.
I know you can't admit that Jesus ever made a mistake, because you think he was God. He never claimed to be God, nor would he, since it would be blasphemy for any Jew to claim divinity. And Jesus was a Jew who was committed to obeying the Law of Moses -- all 613 of them ,as set out in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.
Jesus spoke clearly and directly always. He did not tell riddles, or "imply" things rather than say them. He did not call on his followers to speculate about the end of the world, or to try to puzzle out the weird fantasies of Revelations -- a book written over a century after his death by an unknown man who called himself "John of Patmos".
Instead, he called on his followers to feed the hungry, heal the sick, forgive the sinners, shun the love of money and power, shun violence, and to pray a simple prayer in private, speaking directly to the Lord. That prayer avoided asking God for any gifts or rewards. It asked only for enough food to get through the day, and for forgiveness of sins, on the understanding that the person praying would forgive the sins committed against her or him. "They will [not mine, or my family's, or the king's, or the boss's etc] be done. God's will, not the will of the person praying.
This message is totally lost when "Christians" devote their time and energy to speculating on the "end times", with the arrogant assumption that they will be rescued from harm because they "believe". Instead of "thy will be done", the speculator demands that God tell him when the end will come, and how it will come, and that God go ahead and destroy billions of people, yet save the speculator.
Such speculator-"Christians" don't mind climate change -- they hope it is a "sign" of the end times. They don't mind nuclear war, since it would be God's way of ending human life on earth.The don't mind earthquakes and terrible storms, because these are supposedly "signs" of the coming "rapture", which the speculator-Christians are sure they will take part in.
'Let the babies die in their millions, so long as I get pulled up to heaven! Let the earth swallow entire nations, as long as I get out of here safe and sound. Let humans slaughter each other in a huge battle at Armageddon, so long as I am safe," say these "Christians". "I prepared for the end times. To hell with those who didn't!"
This is not the teaching of Jesus at all. It is a cult of death -- death for others, not for oneself. It is an exciting fantasy, like a disaster movie or a horror movie. Constant "warnings" and "prophecies" that the end is just about to happen -- maybe tomorrow! These keep those who believe -- or half believe -- them in a state of constant excitement and anticipation, like people who buy lottery tickets or bet on the horses. Maybe I'll win! Maybe this time it will happen!
Jesus did not urge his followers to participate in such a merry go round of high expectations, followed by disappointment, followed by renewed expectations, always with the idea that "I have a winning ticket! I know I do! Because Jesus wouldn't disappoint me!"
Those who feed this endless round of excitement and disappointment, and who use the Name of Jesus to convince people to join in are committing blasphemy, taking the Name of the Lord in vain, using it to make money or to gain power over those who believe them.
How many of these fake "preachers" are millionaires? Lots of them. They should be stripping away luxuries and living simply, praying and doing good to others if they truly think the end is near and Jesus will rescue them. But of course they know very well that what they preach is nonsense, and the smart guy is the one who piles up plenty of $$$ and lives in luxury, while the suckers who believe this nonsense send them money to "spread the word".
Maybe you are one of these fakers, or maybe you are a sincere fool who believes that Jesus will soon come and lift you up out of bed or off the toilet or wherever you may be and float you up to the sky, where heaven is.
In either case, how about preaching what Jesus (not just Paul, or John of Patmos) taught, and trying to live in accordance with his teaching?
