The first time I met this artist was when I heard his song called Puzzle. The first time I heard it was when after a few days of my sister's death in a traffic accident and my mother leaving me, I started searching the internet and found this song. Now two years of what has happened whenever I listen to this song and the entire album again, I feel I can forgive my mother if I ever see her again.
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your sister, and the disconnect from your ma. I hope that you can work everything out with your maternal issues, and I am actually certain that you will come to some resolution and I think that the chances of that happening are even more prominent when you stay open about it with your friends, and possibly advisers or counselors. It's interesting to me that the association between those unfortunate memories and this music are strong enough for you to make a note of it on the comments section. Music is such a powerful instrument, and I believe it plays an incredibly strong role in our development both mentally and spiritually. Again - I wish you the best Avaritia.
The song, "Falling into Place"... is so beautiful, it makes me feel. I could call it a "bop" or a... "banger" but, its too... too deep to call it like that. It feels like an ending, the end of your childhood, everything you did... all you good and bad decisions, they all made you the person you are today, everything you said, heard, wrote, drew and so on... its all... Falling Into Place. What you did in the past, even if you regret it ot not, it made you the person you are today, criminal or saint, very quiet or loud, its still you, and thats what makes us "people". We are a society where we all feel different things, you may not like a certain song, series, movie, celebrity, artist, item, fictional character and so on, but we are all still people. Anything we do is all, Falling Into Place, it was you decision to do that, you may regret it but your life would probably have been much more different if you didn't do it. You can't change what happened, you want things to be better but thats how things were meant to be. So be thankful for where you are now.
I feel like this entire album sort of encompasses the warmth and playfulness you felt when you were younger and naive. It feels like you're looking back to a time that was, but rather than it being nostalgic and sad, it's more like you're experiencing it all over again, like a vivid dream. The final tracks though have more of a melancholy feel to them. Hold Your Breath feels like the sense of dread that comes with knowing things are going to soon change from the familiar. Puzzle feels like being a young child lost a confusing world, searching for home, deep down knowing you'll never find it. Climbing Out feels like the bitterness of having "grown up", living in a monotonous world, searching for that same bliss you felt as a child. But Falling Into Place... Falling Into Place is the opposite. Falling Into Place is acceptance. Falling Into Place is how it truly feels to grow up. When you departed from childhood, you thought you "grew up" and that things were never going to be the same as they once were. This made you cynical and apathetic, just like in "Climbing Out". But as you got older, you realized that nothing really changed, or at least, nothing changed in the way you thought. Sure, things aren't the same, but that doesn't change the fact that the world still loves you. You still have people around you who care for you, laugh with you, and love you. There IS beauty in life. After you trek so long through life, we all will get lost. And while some will never find there way, for others, everything will come together. For once, there will be no confusion, no naive bliss, no upset. Rather, there will be just contentment. You've fallen into place.... or my interpretation is dumb and this is just a cool wacky synth album
This is honestly what I needed. I regret a shit ton of things from my younger years. Not a lot of things I did felt like what I should have done in hindsight. I know your comment was 2 years ago, but thank you. Truly.
I think Warmth has always done it for me… As someone who also makes music, it’s truly impressive how literally every sound and every note just beautifully fuses together as well as sounding great on their own. It’s like every time you listen to this song, there’s a different melody you’re vibing with. It’s truly art.
Bright Lights In Silent Rooms made me want to go find a synthwave remix of MGMT - Electric Feel edit: If you felt the same, CLAVVS - Electric Feel (MGMT Cover) is the best one I found. not synthwave but close enough love it
one easy way to tell, is if at the bottom of the description youtube puts a music thing then its copywrited, if its not there, it probably not copywrited
Every single track has a different and unique personality. I love and enjoy every each one of them. This work of art is absolutely magical. It easily is on my Top 5 favorite albums of all time.
So true. HOME somehow creates entirely unique atmospheres each track even though a lot of them are similar in tempo or at least upbeat... He's so good at sound design and feeling where ideas should go.
Home is such an incredible incredddiibble composer, and the fact that we can just speak to the legend directly through social media like twitter is just... Man..
It's rare that I find myself enjoying anything resembling dance music, but this I've found I can disappear into and really enjoy. There's some really nice harmonies and timbres going on here - it's given me plenty of ideas for future music I might end up doing myself. This Will Pass and Hold Your Breath are probably my favourites.
Hold your breath is awesome! Haven't seen many comments about it. I always found it so comforting. I think it coupled with Falling into Place really make this album shine.
This is easily my favorite album and I like each one of the songs here in a different way. A different style than the rest of his music, but better imo
I’m in love with every single track from this album Billiards, Flashlight, BLISR, Falling Into Place, Night Swim, Climbing Out LITERALLY ALL OF THEM ARE SO GODDAMN GOOD Definitely my favorite album by Randy
One of my favorite albums ever, not a big album guy, usually just listen to one song from a album, or artist and that's it. But HOME, and especially this album are one of the few I enjoy listening to throughout. My favorite has to be Puzzle. Impeccable album and amazing artist.
02. Night Swim - 3:33 09. Warmth - 23:11 Some very fun songs in this album. It's actually quite different from his two previous ones. Glad to see that his style is changing, and perhaps progressing too.

My favorite album personally from HOME. I find that all the tracks are better than average at least. Other albums' tracks tend to have some misfires for me.
