Haha you made me laugh with your into Steven lol. I must say I've not been there before either, nor have I woken up and thought I should haha. It looks like a pleasant enough place to blow away the cobwebs. Haha the false advertising made me laugh too. Have a great Christmas and wonderful 2024!
I’m heading there right now. As soon as I’d seen that sign outside the pub saying FREE BEER and TOPLESS BARMAIDS I knew Christmas had come early. Merry Christmas Steven and Karen. ATB 🤪👍🖖🍺🍺 xx
I’ve never been to Google either. Although I had mate from there and he always said that there was a good community spirit. But like most places now - very run down and forgotten. Looked a bit like a ghost town when you were there. Enjoyed this one, loved that music track. Have a good Christmas Steven and Karen.
Thanks Dave...it's the community spirit that keeps these run down towns going....only just though, for the Saturday before Christmas it was pretty dead...looking forward to more of your excellent videos in the coming year...enjoy your Festive break Dave and Sue.
Always fun waking up with no proper itinerary planned and just heading off 😊 feel like that’s something we should all do every now and then. loved that wall art. Must say I haven’t heard of goole before. Thanks for showing us around 😊
Hi Yasmin...i can never decide where to go, sometimes i drive towards the Peak district with no idea where i will end up...something good usually happens.
I've not been to Goole, but my students at one time or another have called me a ghoul!! lol Plenty of local history there for sure. Awesome! Hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy more great adventures in 2024!! Bruce and Otis
i,m sure it was a better place back in its day i go there once a mth with work there some nice little villages leading in to goole from scunthorpe side
Thanks for going to Goole, Steve. Now I don't have to. We've had our fill of run-down towns up in the northeast. Thankfully, they're recovering these days. There is hope for Goole, but it did look like it was still reliant on its faded past glories. I suspect it was a bustling port in its prime. Hopefully, it will get some regeneration money spent on it.
This was a totally different video of yours that I’m not used to. I pretty much always expect a hiking video. I honestly really liked this one. I thought it was beautiful. Your choice of music and the shots shown were just awesome. Very well done. Happy holidays to you and your family. 👍🎄🎁🎅
Goole it’s on our drive down to Stansted Airport so we drive through it a couple of times a year, even stopped to do a spot of shopping there. Not as bad as the name suggests! Loved this closer look at the place. Blue badges too! Nice artwork on your way out from the station too! Don’t know why but I Never realised it was on the River Ooze! Darn that false advertising was just about to get in the car and head down there! Great explore and music ❤
@@atrampinthehills.841 I’m sure he’s pulling your leg! Probably as many shopping trolleys in it then as there are now! Great video though, everywhere deserves a chance 👍
Of course I’ve been to Goole, we used to go on holiday there as children. Great place to stay and lots to do and see. Can’t beat Yorkshire (east, west, north or south), for a beautiful county. Looks like its changed a little from the 50s. We used to love swimming in the River Ouse and naturally of course fishing. Great place, thanks for taking me back. Mike 👍
Never heard of anyone going to Goole on holiday before...I am sure you have some smashing memories from those days...swimming in the Ouse, they say mud is good for the skin...thanks Mike....hope you have a cracking Christmas, although i am not sure you do Christmas.....Merry Christmas anyway.
Very Random Steven😮...I wake up and think what is it like in Bermuda and would like to visit but I wouldn't mind visiting Goole it looks OK and for a spur of the moment idea you could have done a lot worse...Cheers Les 😊👍
Interesting place I certainly have not been to. Great tour and choice.of music, well done. Yes maybe a bit run down but interesting. Hoping you had a great holiday ❤.
I always enjoy a spontaneous trip! Never heard of Goole before … nice town and I bet it’s a great place to live! It’s interesting that it’s a busy port, and far up the river, but then I think of Portland Oregon, which is also quite a ways inland along the Columbia River from the Pacific. Thanks for the walk around and look at the streets and architecture styles. Awesome ad for the Bar, 😆. Nice visit for a cloudy day! 👌🌟🌟 Merry Christmas ! 😄🎁❤🎄💚☃☃
I drove through Google to get home from RSPB Blacktoft Sands in late Summer but didn’t stop, now I don’t have to. Thanks to you I’ve seen it. Happy New Year in 2024.
Hi Steven I’ve not been into Goole , but used to get off the Goole Junction of the M62 when I used to visit Blacktoft sands RSPB Nature Reserve. anyway mate I’m taking this opportunity to wish you and Karen a Merry Christmas and a happy new year, atb mate for 2024 👍

Hiya Steven, this is Mike from Minsk, I just have changed my RUclips name, so it display with Latin letters rather than Cyrillics. I've heard some English speakers say "Goole" for "Google". Let the Holiday bring you a lot of cheer, and may it linger with you, Karen, your kin in Suffolk and all your dear friends for the whole next year. Mike
