I lived in Rock Springs most of my days and had family in the midwest..I saw that scene at least 500 times..stop and piss at the top of the hill, ride the brakes for 40 miles staring at those light, grab a cup of coffee and hope to be through Nebraska's big cornfield by daylight..love this song.
One of my favorite songs of his (and that's *really* saying something). I first heard it on the "Wyoming Sounds" radio show, when I was coming down YU Bench into the Bighorn Basin.
This man was fully established long before I discovered him. Out Here in the Middle was my introductory song. I don’t know if he gets airplay in Texas? Or, there about? But, where I live. There’s some sort of regional guidelines. That have always hindered me from hearing some really great music. Anyway, this is my way of showing respect for James McMurtry. Singer, songwriter, and musician.
With all "Dew" respect! 👍 I've never been able to put into words like this! I shitcanned my guitar playing years ago for lack of words ( in a reasonable manner that is)!👍👍👍🍺🥃🍺🥃🍺🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yep So there's this new dude, Oliver Anthony, that everyone is loving on. Nothing against Mr. Anthony, but Sir McMurtry has been doing this genre for years 😱 Rich Folks just discovered Country 🙄 Cuz that Richmond song fits their bill
Wonderful rendition James, thanks!
The most underrated singer/songwriter of our generation. Thanks for all the music and stories.
Yep
No doubt. I seen him again in Tampa back in February
James is an American treasure. One of his many legendary tunes.
I saw this guy in Newcastle North East England a few years back. He’s the most underrated songwriter on Earth.
I’ve been a fan of James for decades, but this little known gem happens to be my favorite song of his
I've been a trucker for about 6 months and love this! 👍✊
I can feel this one in the scar on my heart
