Growing up, I never played this game late at night, so I never heard this song. Several years later, as a depressed college student in 2013, I heard this song in a RUclips video someone did, showing off their gaming setup. For some reason it led me to look up the song itself, and I suddenly had an urge to lay in bed and contemplate my life while listening to it. And ever since then, it's been a go-to song I listen to whenever I feel the need to contemplate where I am in life and think back on my current place in the world. It's understated, slow. Moves from one note to another before returning to where it was before. Nostalgic in its sound but not overly familiar since I never actually heard it as a child. It never fails to generate emotions in me.
*POV:* It’s eleven o’clock on a summer’s night, all the shops have just closed and your villagers are slowly dozing off. You think to yourself “What shall I do at this time?” Suddenly, a fantastic idea pops up in your brain, and that’s to catch a few bugs, so you pull your net out and begin hunting. Moments later, you suddenly hear a noise coming from a few steps away. You investigate the noise, and to your surprise it turns out to be a wandering tarantula. At first glance, you’re feeling nervous, but then you decide to brave it and sneak behind the tarantula, and swiftly swing your net. A feeling of accomplishment fills you as you have captured it, and knowing you got something to offer to Blathers at the museum. A few minutes later, you hear a random noise again, but this time it’s a scorpion. You try to use the same strategy you used while catching the tarantula, however it didn’t go to plan as the scorpion notices you and starts chasing you. You shriek in terror and you start running to safety, however a pitfall awaits you and you accept your fate. *_Better luck next time!_*
Ohhhh, my gosh… I remember playing this all the time when I was in early elementary school. Damn. I’ve always, ALWAYS loved this theme, even though I rarely heard it as a kid. Simpler times. Now I’m in junior year of high school…
wow, this song hits me different. i have many problems right now to deal with, like depression and private stuff but this song is really helping me. i remember getting the game from my older brother with his town and playing it all day long. i just miss the old times, i just wanna be a kid again.
Bruh I used to play this game so much as a kid, even before I was able to read. I never got to listen to those themes although my total play time with acww is like probably 300+ hours. When I got older (when I was about 15) I remembered acww again and started playing and it just was adorable to me that I didn't know some of these themes. Then I finished the game (payed off the entire house, caught every fish and insect and found every fossil, don't have every painting but I have a life so💁) Quickly after I purchased new leaf. Was a wild month😂
I started playing 5 weeks ago and got further in the game than in 3 years time as a kid. I had to buy a actual card because my R4 broke down. It’s a shame but feels good to catch every bug or fish again and finding fossils again. I got platinum membership at Tom Nook two days ago. My main goal is to get the paintings and all the other spotlight items (throne, samurai, golden lucky cat, ect.) I also with to buy the royal crown.
i like getting these recommended and hopping into the comments section to see what everyones on. im chilling in bed with my dogs right now visiting my parents at their cabin in the mountains for christmas. im watching the sun rise on the mountains and everything is mad nice. hope yall are good mane
The moment the first note hit I got DP vibes. It's like a cacophony of colors that you can only truely view when high. A trip to nostalgiaville that only comes once in every incepid blue moon. POV: Your not able to sleep, its 10:48, and your 3DS is charging on your bedside table, the reason you can't sleep is because your leaving soon to fly to Florida. You then get on your 3DS. Both of your friends are online on Animal Crossing: New Leaf. You travel to the town they're both at and you guys spend the whole time playing online together on Tortimers island. Then its time for you to get on the plane, you tell them that you'll arrive there at 7am. You arrive and well your family is unpacking you get online. (how you connect ur 3DS to a hotspot btw you turn off the passcode) And then you repeat the same thing after landing back home.
ngl the wild world soundtrack is kind of a slog to listen through compared to all the other soundtracks. it could be because i have virtually no nostalgia for the game but i have none for the gamecube version and i enjoy its soundtrack. its good music to sleep to i guess.
I remember being tired as hell as a kid. Listening to this relaxing melody while running down the paths of my village at 11pm. Those were the days.
Game told you to go sleep soon, wholesome :)
Pov:it’s summer

I enjoy the slower pace, but that might be because of my nostalgia, and the fact it helps soothe my anxiety
I do not like new animal crossing fans
Why haha
