I respect Novak as a great tennis player not so much a big fan but I hate the nasty things people say on RUclips about him and other players. The man is getting older and has pain with his injury. These are people not robots. There was no reason to boo him. That made me feel so bad for him.

The unkind comments here about Djokovic are unwarranted. I do not like the man at all because of unsportsmanlike behaviour, but honestly, he didn't deserve that. The guy is a guest in our country. He has won 10 AOs. Dislike him if you wish but show him respect of not booing him. Sick and tired of the behaviour of the bogans in the crowd. I no longer want to go the AO because of these people. They are embarrassing.

Terribly devastated and most unfortunate. But with a groin injury no way he will be able to win a five set semi final and then go on to win the final. Retiring in a final would be even more disconcerting. So he took a prudent decision because playing with injury would have jeopardised his remaining career for good, which of course is short given his advanced age.
All those obnoxious trolls who accused him of faking his injury must feel unabashed. He has got nothing to prove. Even that he cant handle the New Generation argument is now over.

It was traumatazing for Fedal fans last many many years so we should understand them.
Federer, a poor guy who was mocked last 5, 6 years of his tennis career, cuz qualifiers were joking and moping floor with him. Joker took 3 finals from his hands of Wimbledon, and I wouldn't continue to count.
On the other hand, Nadal was using drugs and was faking injuries for 7 months to stay out of tennis, just to everything cool down. We older guy's here remember that time.
Unlikely all what he has been using, still wasn't enough to beat Novak for 10 years on hard court. Basically, from 2011 I think that he couldn't manage to do it and never did.
So guys, do you still think why is so many ĥaters out there and why them do not like him?

Let's go into detail...Novak played for 2 weeks with an apparent "torn stomach" and won the tournament. He played for 2 weeks with an apparent "torn hamstring" and won the tournament. His previous match he apparently aggravated his "groin", but then played like a man possessed and won 3 straight sets to knock out Alcaraz. Plays ONLY his 2nd ever daytime semi final in 12 appearances at the AO and I could see the sun/heat was draining him. Basically 90 minutes for 1 set was too much for him to handle, let alone play hours more in the sun/heat.... So he quit and used the "leg" as an excuse. I AM SORRY, BUT IF YOU CAN PLAY 2 WEEKS WITH A TORN HAMSTRING, THEN YOU CAN BLOODY PLAY A CPL OF MATCHES WITH A GROIN STRAIN... Full of it Novak. We are too used to seeing this. Your body is old & running out of juice....Those that booed him knew the games he has played....He just did his last goodbye at the AO....He Won't be back....

It is likely that the torn hamstring and torn stomach happened towards the end of the tournaments band he never played two full weeks with either of those injuries
