i finally caught up to your latest video! it took me about a week to binge-watch all of your jojo reactions lol. it's super fun to see you be so enamored with the show -- it almost feels like i'm watching it with a friend. and i love how analytical you are about everything! keep up the good work, i can't wait for you to finish the whole series :D
Stand Stat Retrospection: The stats make sense if you consider it as the ability of just one of these units - remember C is average for most stats, and pretty solid for range. The Precision makes sense if you consider it from the angle of them being average shots for say military men - they arent extra accurate per say but together they can get the job done. Potential means how much more room to grow the ability has/how much more one has to learn about it. About Stand Manifestation: Most stands form initially as just the ability and/or phantom limbs. Remember how Jotaro only really had hands until Magician's Red forced a full body manifestation? Stuff like that. Koichi seems to be doing. . .something interesting, but what could it be? Maybe his stand is just an egg lol
Funny thing is. Araki the series said, if Okuyasu was more intelligent, his Stand would be the STRONGEST of Part 4. But he thought making him stupid with a powerful ability would make him more interesting. He was correct.
Stands don’t usually start out as eggs, koichi’s just starts that way as a sort of symbolic thing that kinda represents that he’s still very new to all this and not much of a fighter by nature
It's an egg because Koichi actually failed the arrow test (not much fighting spirit in him), but Josuke made him survive using Crazy Diamond. So basically his stand is dormant until he can get some more spirit.
A stands power and form depends on the users fighting spirit, which is what grants the arrows power. If your a “wuss” you’d usually bite the dusto but Koichi is a special case since he essentially was forced to survive. That’s why his stands is literally an egg. Basically Koichi is a lil bit of scaredy cat
And another thing that makes Koichi a special case is that his Stand has the ability to evolve as he matures and his fighting spirit grows, with his Stand being able to take on different forms, or “Acts” as they’re called.
Koichi’s height originally was meant to represent character development, so further in the story he was supposed to be taller, cause he still is same age as josuke
The arrow isnt actually a 50/50. It depends on your fighting spirit, so if you dont have a reason to "be strong" you wont make it. And koichi would have died, but because he was rescued before he did he got a stand that matches his, basically nonexistant, fighting spirit.
I'm from Russia. I understand when they try to duplicate the name of the stands from English to Russian. Although I do not agree with this. But when they try to translate from English to English, I don't understand anything at all. Like they thought Araki was a stupid Japanese and couldn't give a normal name in English? So many questions and so few answers
@@fedoriletcki4523 the reason they have different names are that the names of the stands in the official Japanese version are references, being named after bands and their songs. Unfortunately you're not allowed to name drop them in a context like that without permission (which usually includes a cost). So they need to change the names in order to be allowed to make it in english.
@@harrylewis8145 I didn't even think about it. Then it's sad. but in this case, it is strange that no claims were filed against the original anime. after all, Japan is closely connected with the Western media space, and probably Netflix has the opportunity to switch to the original with subtitles, in which all the names of the stands in English are perfectly audible
@@fedoriletcki4523copyright law is weird in Japan. I'm not sure what it is, so I won't mouth off and make up a reason for why it is so, but the Manga and anime can get away with the references due to how copyright law operates in Japan.

Tip about Potential: it measures how much stronger the Stand can get, given the right circumstances. If it's A, then there's a lot of growth for it, if it's F, not so much. And the more powerful the Stand grows, the lower it's Potential gets.
This guy stand and another one are my favorite If i coule choose i whoud made my stand be a army of little teddy bear soldiers (If i could choose their looks, they whoud Look like demon Teddys from sleeping princess in demon castle)
Also, the stands name "The Hand" is a pun based on the band named The Band, but it's better in Japanese, because the characters for b syllables and h syllables differ by a single mark, so you could imagine that is name was originally ザバンド (za bando) but he accidentally erase past of the name and it became ザハンド (za hando)
It's been heavily rumored that stands are directly tied to personality and more specifically, willpower. If the individual haz enough will or a very strong conviction/desire chances are they'll get a stand. The power of said stand depends on the degree of will the person holds. I believe a certain priest down the line accomplished all of his deeds on pure willpower alone.
23:09 I mean Jonathan and Jospeh both had hermit purple and also because of Jonathan's body's "distress call" they got stands that had the capability of finding and defeating DIO, so what you said got me thinking what if Crazy Diamond had been there maybe his stand was meant for that journy too, Imagine being able to heal Iggy and Kakyoin

Hey, Mattables. Seeing Koichi lay an egg made me remember a fan-made doujinshi where Jotaro forces Kakyoin to become his married housewife before getting freaky in the bedroom. Later, Kakyoin lays an egg which hatches into a chibi Jotaro. Kakyoin's child and Josuke later become friends, but that is compromised when Josuke congratulates Jotaro and Kakyoin on a happy marriage, since Kakyoin's child hates his father. Just wanted you to become aware of its existance. I'm sorry.

So stands don't "choose" their users, and they're not given or handed out. Stands are part of the user, a physical manifestation of a part of their soul. What you're seeing with the arrow is people's stands manifesting, meaning they already had stands, they were just dormant. You can't change them to a different stand, or switch them out. They're as much apart of their user as their user's genetics. Their appearance and abilities they manifest with depend on their user's soul and fighting spirit, not any outside influence. There are many different ways to "activate" a stand, but you're either born with your stand or you're not. The only other variable is when and how your stand first manifests. The arrow forces a stand to manifest (for reasons explained much later in the series), or, if there is no stand there to manifest, kills the person hit with the arrow. Also! The reason why Josuke couldn't send his stand inside the room to heal Koichi is because Crazy Diamond is an extremely close ranged stand, even more close ranged than Star Platinum. They don't go into it in the anime like they do the manga, but if I remember correctly his range is only a couple of feet. I think it might be the shortest ranged mobile stand in the series. The trade off for being close ranged is Crazy Diamond's insane unmatched strength. It also balances out Crazy Diamond's pretty much unmatched healing abilities - Josuke can heal literally anything as long as the person is still alive, BUT he can't heal himself. Being forced to fight close range puts him at greater risk for receiving injuries he won't be able to heal. And Koichi is pronounced "Ko-ee-chee", but the KO is the emphasis, and the Ko-ee is said very quickly, so it sort of sounds like "Koi" chee, where you sort of lilt up the i at the end to make more of an "ee" sound. Try saying Koi-chee a little quickly and you'll probably nail it!
@@BrandonLung at same time yes but that could be going intro spoilers Ofc you could consider Star platinum learning Star Finger evolving But real potential of evolving whoud be something like Echoes , bites the dust or tusk

3:57 If it was 50/50 then it would've been a good deal. But most people die so its more like 80 percent death and 20 percent cool power.
