Good morning, first of all thank all of you who have followed all the episodes, it has been a pleasure as a child I have enjoyed riding this bicycle. In this video I show you the montage and the final result of miscellany. I hope you enjoy watching the construction of the bicycle. Buenos días lo primero agradecer a todos los que habeis seguido todos los episodios, a sido un placer he disfrutado como un niño montando esta bicicleta. When I watched the first episode I was cringing and doubting. The second episode made me start to believe. The third episode had me shouting for joy. This last episode was the icing on the cake. I'm a true believer now! Dab, you are a restoration superhero!

What a piece of art!! I've had the same idea of converting my old, rusty bike into a gravel bike, but had my doubts. After looking at your video's, I definitely think it's worth a shot. Thanks for sharing the conversion in so much detail, this will be very helpful along the way!

Estaba flipando con la potencia... claro, la manetas son de freno de cable!
Existen pinzas hidráulicas de accionamiento por cable, son baratas, funcionan bien y creo que quedaría mejor, menos aparatoso y complejo

@Seiji Schoppert clever design! I have a bike with rim brakes, never had contact with disk brake bikes, and assumed the design was just the same as is for motorcycles

The end result looks amazing, but still the welding done on the fork for the disk brakes is sketchy AF. The frame disk brakes mountings points needed a bit of reinforcement but i think it will do alright.
I wouldn't ride it downhill but on a normal gravel ride i think it will do fine. Again, great work and i hope you enjoy it riding

What a amazing Result, a beautiful bike👍
I realy realy hope, that the fork can handle the diskbreak and their immense force, now working at the tip of the fork and not like former the caliper breaks at the top of the fork and their strongest part
These old forks are designed to be flexible and work like a „suspension“, to filter some shocks from the road, but anyway, let’s hope for the best
a magnificent build and masterpiece of work and skills💪🍻
He should really upgrade it to a proper fork just to be safe. But I don't know if there are any that fits the old quill stem standard.
Yeah there is no way it can handle diskbreak.

Indeed.
on most steel frames with forks like that they usually use mechanical disc brakes,so that the force peaks are not
that high.
Also therefore threaded headsets are sub-optimal-why didn’t the frame builder put in a 1‘ ahead fork?!
That would have saved a few grams as these adapters are quite heavy!
But beyond this „critique“ i congratulate for an awesome bike,nice color and the typical aesthetic of steel!
Would have loved to do the test ride 👍 🤙 🚴 💦

En cuanto a las piezas, tengo curiosidad por la potencia que has montado, así como la pieza que va sobre el cambio... En fin, me ha encantado tu trabajo. Un abrazo!
La pieza del cambio debe ser algún tipo de conversor para las marchas ya que las manetas son de bici de carretera y el cambio es un XT de montaña
Y la potencia exactamente lo mismo.Convierte unas manetas convencionales a unas manetas hidráulicas
Eso es el Giant Conduct, transforma los frenos de cable en hidráulicos.
Hola amigo!!! Creo que sea respondido todo. Solo falta decir que la bicicleta se comporta a las mil maravillas, espero enseñaros como envejece y si le tengo que hacer alguna modificación por causas de horquilla y frenos de disco. Gracias a todos por dejar vuestro comentario ; )

1. It is a converter from mechanical to hydraulic levers (its name is giant conduct.
2. It is a ratio converter, from road levers to mtb changes (its name is tanpam).
