this is the song that makes me a fan 😭☝🏻
The song is about how they have all become close as a family with each other and the fans, which is special for the members who moved to korea to be part of the company and eventually of Nct, they areactually 14 of the 23 members, so on the live stage it was the original unit that you saw in the video but the rest of the members who are not korean joined them, there is three members in there that are korean, they are the ones who belted the vocals on the live performance. They also did a live performance of resonance, which has all the members in it, which is also worth the watch.
The rearrange version stage on MAMA actually only includes 16 of them. 7 of them are the original lineup (1 from Japan, 3 from China, 3 from Korea). And another 9 are all foreigner (from Chicago, Canada, Japan, Thailand and many different region in China). This song is specifically made for NCT because of their background as the global group. They have members from many country outside Korea (13 of 23 are foreigners), and that they all left home at very young age, trained for years together to reach their dream, and that they are grateful they found "new home" in each other. The shine brigth in the city "CT", like "NCT" but "NCity". And this song is in 4 different language (Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, and English) represents the native language of each singer, cuz that was their "home".
