NOTE: This is not a tutorial. It is just a live stream of me working on whatever I am doing at the time.
These streams are completely unscripted, which means there will be periods of time when I'm either researching, troubleshooting, or struggling, but always learning. There will also be times when I'm interacting with chat or just looking at something I find interesting on the web.
I bet removing all the events and just spreading props for some of the components felt so cathartic 🥰 But I really appreciate livestreaming work on this one, and adding extra polish and features! Tricky one to do, and the datetime upgrade is gonna be super useful 🙌
Why did you choose to make a full rewrite? I could not find any explanation on github.
Probably some falling out with the core maintainer
No falling out anywhere! Just able to leverage component lifecycles without the need for actions so I want to give it a shot!
Can't wait to test it. Any plans on releasing a 'next' version soon?
Yeah! The goal is to release a next first, receive feedback, bug reports, etc. before moving into the main release pipeline
Does this mean the library will no longer be compatible with projects stuck on Svelte 4?
Once the svelte 5 version releases, correct. However, you can continue to use the previous versions of bits UI in Svelte 4 projexts
Thank you, so much your content like drug !!! please create a real live app like car parking app reservation please master 😍
Hey, I have not been getting your notifications! I'm subbed and clicked bell icon.
Oh no! Well I haven't posted / been live in a while since yesterday so maybe thats why?
@@Huntabyte That'd prob be the reason! Just shared your video you posted tonight, over on X. Glad to see you still doing videos. Good stuff.
This is so cool!
