i highly recommend those interesting in learning about Laos to do their own research.
a great deal is said about the conflicts of southeast Asia but a considerable lack of real details regarding the war and it's effects of Laos can be realized. (this too is to be expected from a western source but also from a shorter form video meant to keep people engaged.)
Regardless, much much much more can be said about Laos, it's connection to Sino-Vietnamese militarism, political doctrine, and it's very own uprising in relation to that of north Vietnam's. Many of the actions of Laos could be well related to the Chinese uprising only ten years prior. considerable interests in Laos would regard a removal of American imperialism (which quickly followed after the removal of French imperialism) as well as many land reforms that were famous in north Vietnam during the Vietnam war.

Kinda disappointed that you didn’t talk about the Hmong people who were armed by the Americans to fight in Laos. My people were given airplanes to bomb the communist and were tasked to save Americans who were shot down in Laos

The Hmong also sent men to fight alongside US special forces with MACV SOG, with their recon teams and hatchet forces. They stacked communists into piles on a daily basis.

Interesting content. But still I failed to understand, why Laos got involved in the war? I would say title is abit misleading.

As weak and ineffective as all Lao govts. were, the invasion(s) of Lao territory by the Viet Minh and later N.Vietnam brought the conflict(s) into Lao.
