Hi Jay, nice program. Glad to see more Indian nationals visiting Taiwan. I personally loved Taiwanese as they are very warm and approachable people especially the Central and the South. I speak the local Min-Nan dialect, Mandarin, and a little Malay. I still remembered in the early 1980's during my army training days, i once chatted with an elderly famer at 下满州 原住民 region to buy Pineapples. I ended using some Malay worlds to settle the deal and he understand me clearly. I highly encourage the Indian visitor to explore beyond Taipei, try the very unique, delicious, and readily available Taiwanese vegetarian foods. Visit the many famous Buddhist monasteries (Zhong Tai Chan Si 中台禅寺, Fa Gu Shan 法鼓山, Fo Guang Shan 佛光山...) , the famous and immaculate tea plantations, Taroco National Park 太魯閣. ..etc too many to mention! And one more thing, a little historical link about Indian Pro-independence movement: The Indian Nationalist leader during WW2- Subhas Chandra Bose was tragically killed in a plane crashed in Taiwan airfield (Taipei) enroute to Japan.
Okay The first lady is too much talkative. I am from Northeast india and i lived 2 years in taiwan. I think people are lovely. I felt like i was their son and one family they gave me Taiwanese food and it was so tasty.
It is actually intriguing that in Tibet Himalayas, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, even ancient Xinjiang, Korea peninsula, Japanese islands have "Indian" remarkable , such as Dharmma teachings. Not to mention that viharas in Taiwan.

बॉलीवुड की ज्यादातर फिल्में वामपंथी और लिब्रल द्वारा बनाई जाती है उनमें भारतीय संस्कृति को नकारात्मक तरीकेसे से दिखाया जाता है। अगर आपको वास्तविक भारतीय संस्कृति जो जानना है तो आपको दक्षिण भारतीय फिल्मे देखना चाहिए।

If you're asking about discrimination, it means you are aware of it, and I still appreciate you bringing this topic up courageously. I believe that while Taiwanese people are generally kind, discrimination tends to come from other foreigners. For example, in classrooms and buses, others often avoid sitting with us, and it's challenging to make friends. Taiwanese people sometimes favor other foreigners over Indians, and while non-Indians enjoy our food, they don't always extend the same warmth to us personally. As a Taiwanese I can speak English, not fluently though. Surely we gotta improve it but it is NOT our responsibility to be able to speak English IMO. Honestly, blame that problem to our terrible English education in public school.

@@huangjacqueline9581 Because we need a common language to connect. We prefer English because English has now become a global language. It's not confined to a particular country or region. It's pretty common to learn it. Even the Taiwanese have English as part of their curriculum in school. 💁
English is not our first language our language is Hindi, we still learn to speak English because English is the largest spoken language on earth and thats how we connect to the world , personally i know 6 languages and a average person should know atleast 2 languages apart from their mother tongue.

Speaking of the earthquake, yes it is more frequently in Taiwan than other countries（Beside of Japan ). But the majoy disaster is not that often, so that's no need to be worried. As of education for your 4 years old, there are multiple bilingual school in Taiwan, maybe you'll find somthing you like.😊

三位受訪者都來自南印，我感到很奇妙，因為印度實在太大，北印德里或東印的加爾各達雖語言各異但都人文薈萃，也許，南印有IT大城班加羅爾及重教育(Kerela邦跟Tamil邦)
喀拉拉小姐說還是印度料理好吃，真是令我這小台灣意外，南印蕉葉上一坨坨紅咖喱、黃咖喱間雜幾色醬菜 tikka Masala 或焦黃的魚，最令人接受不了的是飯不似台灣的沾粘且有股飯香味，還有整餐都沒蔥薑蒜且看不到綠色的菜葉，唯見墊底的蕉葉
熟諳英語的印人遣詞用字比歐美人還精確且道地，但因為台人習於聽美式英語，印腔過重且用字有他們的習慣性，但多聽就會懂，採訪者真的超厲害~
印度若我說是個靈性的國度，它的音樂、音韻、工藝、宗教、雕刻、哲學、思想、藥學、瑜珈再再都令人嘆為觀止

新聞之前報過，兩位獲得台灣華語獎學金的印度人，但是台灣人看到都說怎麼長得跟華人一樣？殊不知印度東部的民族其實跟緬甸、雲南更近，印度朋友也和我說過她們看到東部印度人也會很困惑XD再加上那邊的人有不少也不會hindi，所以都是說英語。

我的印度前任曾說台灣很多小偷，歐洲反倒沒有（他幾乎算是定居在德國了）我說我在台灣沒有遇過小偷，他說因為我是asian，但是那時候跟他來台灣的男友是中國人，所以依照他的邏輯，他男友也不會被偷啊。
後來工作上認識的菲律賓華僑跟我說，我前任知道台灣不是只有台灣人嗎？一語驚醒我。我曾跟印度人有不短的相處時間，從我前任的話語和態度裡，跟我與那麼多印度人相處後，我感覺印度人他們其實蠻喜歡把過錯和責任推在別人身上，沒有想過自己的問題。

總體來講，印度人沒辦法接受別人對他們個人的批評，只要一說，他們就會眼神向別處，不想跟你講這個話題，而且生活上千萬要有心理準備他們可能會忘記你交代的事情XDTure Story
印度口音，我只遇到一位真的聽不懂，根本就是在說Hindi，其他都還好，都聽得懂，印度英語其實發音是好的，因為英語母語者們都聽得懂，所以代表印度英文其實發音上沒有太大問題，再加上他們說英式英語，所以台灣人不熟悉就說他們講得不好。
我有一位認識已經要8年的印度朋友，是我最要好的女性朋友，她很獨立自主，我覺得印度人很有他們的個性，跟我們台灣人差別真的很大，接觸很多台灣人無疑是想改變外國人在台灣的生活方式，例如說一些包容，台灣很友善，可是外國人跟我們台灣人本來就不同，沒必要去改變他們，互相理解就行了。
ps 曾經跟印度人生活的日子讓我學到怎麼用當地語言點菜，所以在新加坡時有讓印度人感到震驚XD
我最喜歡吃chapahti搭配butter和mixed veg curry，朋友特製的炒beef和mutton（羊肉）Tamil Nadu來的一位廚師做的mixed veg fried rice，beef & Lamb Biriyami（印度炒飯）我也喜歡吃Samosa里的餡料，papad搭配薄荷醬，Dosa蘸chutney（辣椒和番茄做的醬）還有煮Tikka chicken的湯搭配煮熟的雞肉、Indian Shrimp sauce和薑黃飯拌在一起，oh my 根本就是paradise，他們的chicken manchurian（類似咕咾肉的味道但是雞肉製）
不過我最愛還是malabar mutton！！！！！！
印度的mixed veg salad、蔬菜水果配優格和米布丁也很喜歡
我不喜歡的是印度魚咖喱（kerala Fish）前任來自Kerala他喜歡那道菜，還有就是tandoori chicken包含Tikka chicken，還有印度醃漬芒果青！

離車站還有一分鐘距離他就要趕著下車，然後下車後也沒有要轉車！到底在急什麼！？

所以如果你想知道印度人的性格，我可以告訴你，他們天生是情勒大師！他們還天生覺得自己是個焦點，大家不僅要讓他們，而且理應當幫他們解決他們所有不變，而且還要有心理準備他們只會在意他們心裡的事情，囑咐給他們的事情，他們忘記了也不會覺得抱歉，可能還反過來怪你給他們這麼難或麻煩的事情！

Nowadays English is important language to international connection. It's the only important language to connect with foreigners, globally

然後我在加拿大，我遇過太多印度人，覺得很多印度人英文其實發音完全不標準（這個女的算好，還有他們是British Accent，我們在學都是比較美式美語！

為何印度不廢除種性制度呢？
我覺得目前來說應該很難做到，貴族不可能放棄他們的權力慾望，底層因為無法得到好的教育跟職業造成他們的眼界不夠寬廣，雖然印度政府憲法明令廢除了，可是民眾還是遵照傳統走，所以短時間是不可能的。

在中文為主語的國家抱怨當地市場英文不夠好有問題的是那位女士吧！我自己去印度自遊行過2週當地不會講英文的印度人也一大堆我並不覺得有什麼，incredible India不是讚美詞是英語的變向歧視詞，印度是我這輩子去過最落後的國家之一基本上就是個第3世界國家。
