The 3000 and 4000 Series Allison Transmission will outperform any other brand of HD & MD commercial automatic and a manual transmission period! Even though they have 6-7 gears depending on application they actually perform very well when pulling 150k lb gcvw loads. I have driven the Allison equipped truck pulling a 95k car crusher over the mountains in CA and our other truck was equipped with an 18spd. Both trucks were Pete’s with a 600 ISX 15 Cummins and the Allison performance was superior over the 18speed. It’s hard to believe but the 6 gears performance was better than the 18 speed. Fuel mileage was better too.
@BIGDAVE5352 I will argue some of that. I agree with you that the Allison is very capable. It’s doing a great job shifting smoothly even with heavy weight. However my experience with comparing to a manual is that the manual is superior. There is a short video posted on this channel where I compare the two. I ran for a week with the Allison beside the 18 speed with the exact same load and trailer configuration. Not only was he pushing me on the hills but at the end of the week de burned $500 less fuel. The easy answer is find companies who do oversize in your area and start applying! Be ready to start at the bottom and work your way up. Try to find a company that does small oversize as well as big stuff. That way you can work your way up without switching companies.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like this one has the Allison 4700 RDS 7 speed automatic! Can you please do several completely unedited ASMR's of this rig, starting off with engine startup at the beginning, high RPM shifting from the Allison, and engine shutdown at the end? Make sure the ASMR's are completely uncut - no edits, no music, just pure engine sounds the whole way. ASMR videos help me fall asleep, and I'd love several on an Allison like this one! Please also make them as long as possible with the best audio, such as whatever camera you were using for the first few clips after describing the load, the audio from that is just amazing! For me, the longer the ASMR's the better! Please let me know ASAP, and keep on truckin'!

Is there a 'common' (btwn countries) minimum height the bottom of low-bed trailer must be? @2.44 in video
Or do you always raise it to max?
Generally I run them at about 6 inches. When height is an issue I can run it a bit lower but then you need to be more aware of stuff like train tracks and uneven ground.
Last one of those I did went from Tacoma to Calgary via Kamloops, Valemount, Edmonton. The TC1 east of Kamloops is a 64,000 kg route in BC.
I don’t get out that way often enough! I sure wouldn’t mind once in a while!
Leave the boom ,stick and bucket off that add 8 heavy duty winches and extra wide tracks you'd have one helluva sno cat,LOLLOL.
I used to operate a 395 and loved that beast! Interesting to watch how they are transported. I suspect the 95 cant be done in one load with tracks and house like this one, but still fascinating to watch!
Enjoying the video's, look forward to part 2 loading this monster LOL
What kinda fuel mileage you get, how many hours canyou drive or mileage?
With a load like this I can go about 10 hours on a fillup. So basically one fillup per day.
Thanks. Just when i thought i was looking good in the trucking industry. MR Big balls over here haling my ex wife to her new home. Tonnage is a little off though. Ex wife is a bit heavier LMAO. Thanks for the awesome video brother keep it safe and hope to see ya on the road.
Happy to have you following along ✌️ safe travels
Good job, the mailboxes on the NY 146 bring me memories 😅
Aww man thats an automatic 😢 great video though 💯
Another great video.
How does one get into heavy haul. I’m 64. Been driving for 40 years. Owner operator for the last 27 years. I’m selling my truck and want to get into oversized loads. Eventually heavy haul. Thanks
The easy answer is find companies who do oversize in your area and start applying! Be ready to start at the bottom and work your way up. Try to find a company that does small oversize as well as big stuff. That way you can work your way up without switching companies.
A new cat machine from China? How does that work? Are they made in China now?what next!
They come over by the boat load. But It’s not just CAT. You can find every make and model on the dock in Baltimore and at other ports.
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407my family are longshoremen in Vancouver Canada we have unloaded all kinds of equipment I didn’t know cat was making their stuff in chinawh.what kind of power in the Pete
Nice drive and wow I've actually driven myself on part of your route! Stay safe out there!
Small world ✌️
Now that's a pretty Cat!!
Setting up for a heavy load like this is all ways interesting since their is many different set up depending on the load.
Exactly. With a job like mine, I’m using a different setup every trip. Not boring!!!
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 The equipment you use keeps you on your toes. So you would not know what will happen and what will be used next. That is a job that can be a very interesting to do.
Pretty smooth ride this time eh.
That’s why I love these loads! The big easy!
Somebody went to Dundalk!
So Caterpillar is now building at least some of their stuff in China? Verrrry interesting.
Not just CAT. You can find any make and model on the docks
Yep it’s very disappointing and disgusting these once great American engineering and manufacturing companies who invented the heavy equipment industry and built Americas infrastructure especially the Highway system decades ago now have sold out for cheap communist slave labor overseas for the last 15 years.
Not many Cat excavators built in the US, most of them are built in Japan where Cat has its global HQ and R&D for excavators.
@@12345anton6789 if I’m not mistaken I know CAT has a large R&D and Engineering Facility in Germany also where they have transferred much of both from the US
@@tristenklein5940 its their main R&D for wheel excavators, they also produce a lot of them and export them all over the world
great job, stay safe.
18 speed automated?
😞 7 speed auto
What a haul! But you and your team sure handled it like a pro! Now, got some questions on the truck? What year, make and model, engine and transmission? I could be wrong, but it sounds like this one has the Allison 4700 RDS 7 speed automatic! Personally, I'm an Allison guy, I just love hearing the shift patterns of Allison transmissions, especially the heavy duty Allisons. Now, I have an idea.
Yes exactly! Cummins 565hp with the Allison 7 speed.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll think on it for a future video
@@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 sounds good buddy!! Am I correct in saying that this is a 2023 Peterbilt 567?
@GarbageSean yes exactly
Great video. All the way from germany
This guy Edit:: Kid thinks he's more important than he is lol
CAT made in Chy-nah ???
Disappointing to see CAT making these things in Chy-Na!
Not E-z but seems like a load that you don't have to worry about Power Lines. R. The day Cab Drivers likely saying damngot stuck behind wide load, Heh all part of the road. CB is Nice sometimes. R.
No excess height to this load!
Them Western Stars are nice but like a mechanic would say, "just to damn hard jumping up in and out of the cab on that first step."
Thanks for your videos. Heavy haulers can get real creative doing that stuff!
Haha that high step keeps me in shape!
So cat excavators are made in china
Lol de de weed Rd
Have you ever delivered to fabick cat?
No, I only deliver to CAT dealerships in Canada
