A big problem for me with these rebirth plots with the FL never loving, even using, betraying and sometimes killing the ML in the first life, but then doing a 180 upon rebirth and claiming to, out of the blue, love the ML. Impossible to believe when for her, she just died and very clearly did not love the ML until a few mins before dying. If anything, it is usually guilt, or even a way to save herself. I wish they wouldn't claim feelings they probably don't genuinely have, because it's unfair to the ML who usually do truly love the FL. It's just another way of using him. Gives me an icky feeling. And provides no accountability for the wrongs they did to the ML in the previous life. I think I've only seen one where the FL was clearly remorseful and really wanted to atone for her wrongs to the ML. Mostly FLs are hung up on revenge, maybe saving their family, and hugging the ML's thighs by claiming feelings, to get their help in their quest for revenge. So in these stories, the ML just seems like a tool to be used to give the FL what they wanted.

I totelly agree with this! There are lots where the fl betrays the ml who loved her dearly cause of a scumbag and gets reborn. I HATE those fls. Always feel like they deserve whatever got to them.
I agree. I recently watched one. She was remorseful and wanted to divorce because she felt she didn't deserve to be with him. But she eventually fell in love with him for real. It would be nice if there some character development but I guess it's such short dramas that they just rush things.
They didn't even try to rescue their friend when the mad woman kidnapped him after he helped them.I liked that Ah Heng realised he was wrong last lifetime and set out to be different. But this was a bittersweet story with a lot if loss Beautiful leading couple
