I used this approach at Casino Quest last Saturday...took the winnings here and the to press the inside numbers by one unit and helped grow my bankroll...it was a fun system to experiment with 🎲💰😎
It might be a little out of my price range, but I might consider trying this with 5, 6, and 8, almost like a hopping iron cross, with the field bet a little higher to balance the extra hopping bet. Fewer ways to lose, but more at risk if the 7 comes
You would need 12 there, since there are more combinations, and that lowers the winnings on field hits to $3 and non-hardway to $5, and you still lose on the 7.
As a dealer here in Vegas, the clearest way for me to know would be throw in the $10 and say “2way 5, 3way 6” and I’ll understand $4 5s hop and $6 sixes hop.
Jeff Hayden under normal circumstances yes. But for the hoppers it’s not. There’s a joke if a player keeps hopping bets constantly (makes a LOT of work for the dealer) and throws in a “two way five” the stickman will book the bet “hopping the fives, nothing two way about it” haha! You can say “two way, two way 5” which I would understand as hopping the 5s for the player and the dealer.
Dice advice: (44) on the don't pass (44) on the inside and (16) in the field. Field hits press all one unit. If a 6 or 8 hits collect and return the 16 to the field. After 3 hits of pressure hedge the dont with 25 dollar odds. After 7 pressure bets regress back down to the original bet
Bet $15 on the field, and bet $2 each on all the hop bet combinations for the 5 and either the 6 or 8, your choice.($10 total in hop bets) Thats all there is to the strategy.
My opinion is sort of like the dealer's. You still have to fade 2 of most common rolls with this strategy, and all you are doing is essentially trying to be cheap, and hedge the field. This action costs you $25. I'd rather just place 6 & 8 for $12 with a $10 field bet. It's just $7 more, and now you're only fading the 7, and the 5 which is a lesser number. You also have the ability to press the 6 or 8 if the roll goes long.
Thank you so much for doing this demonstration and for the shout out! I'm constantly trying to develop new ways to color up at the casino! Your channel is one of my favorites, so I'll also send you strategies that I've used that work for me!
Use the Don't Come has your hedge bet equal to your future place bets, with $5 on the Yo on the Don't come out initial roll, then you only have to ghost one number ? Plus craps on first & the next come roll after a point, etc., is a winner for you as well ?
Great video as it explained the bets and how to communicate those to the dealer. Looking to learn on my next trip to Las Vegas will looking into book a slot with casino quest
Jerry, I know the hard ways is a bad bet in general. But I use the term only when tipping for the dealers. Most of the time I just place the tip on the odds bet behind the line. As a dealer, where would you prefer players lay your tips?
Hey color up, a good idea when you edit might be to put the dollar amount you had to start the roll on the side, and then we can see the profit or loss for that roll. Keep up the great work!
Find a strategy or two you like, and most importantly understand! Nothing wrong with just making one single bet at a time (pass line or place bet on 6/8)and just observing the table and get comfortable how things are happening. add more bets or move into strategy when you are comfortable. Talk to the dealers, ask questions.
That's where my mind went immediately. I almost always try to see how a strategy can be applied at bubble craps, since here in Oklahoma they have $1 minimums.
@@JoseGarcia-bw9go the only reason I every play it is to either test out a strat with minimal investment, it if I don't have patience to build up a proper table bankroll for a $5 or $10 table.
Yep, field is 5%, and the hops are 11-14% which is slot machine territory, but that is a long term math number the casino relies on over millions of rolls. Players are there for hour, day, weekend maybe...and anything can happen.
Great video. I suggest to Martingale after each loss. I like the 11/36 zonk odds. With the bonus winner on 2,12& hardway. I'll be trying this next time.
Would it be a good idea to put 20 on field and to buy the hard 6 for 3 dollars instead of hopping it? You would then put 3 dollars on 2 way 5 hop and easy 6 hop.
I just plugged this into Excel and on average you're going to lose $2 per throw doing this assuming you're betting the amounts shown here and the field pays double on both ends. It drops to about $1.57 per throw lost if one end pays triple. You might as well go bet $25 per spin on one of the 1:1 bets on roulette (red, black, odd, even, low, high). you're only losing an average of about $1.32 there.

@@ColorUp thank you lol. I actually found it already and I'm up the 9th video. The biggest issue with my was first understanding the minimum bets for place bets which is what the minimum bet is. I was only confused because of the 6 and 8. So if you're at a $10 and you have to bet in sets of $6 on 6 and 8, so what's the minimum bet you could put on them? I would say $20 because that's $2 over $18. Also, I play online and with a $20 bet on 5 I actually get paid 29. It's weird. I'm supposed to get paid $28 so why is an extra dollar given?
You should also put hardways bet as well because at least if it's hardways on the 6/8 you get a better payout and you're already betting on the hardways might as well 😅
One time roll. Your bet can stay there if you let the dealer know and give them money to replace the bet each roll. If you win, dealers will typically take the bet out of profit so you stay up on bet.
I’m confused as a novice, but I thought Hop bets are one-time bets? On the 1st Roll, a Nine, why did Alex press your Hop 5 & 6? I get why the wager was $4 on the 5 & $6 on the six, but got lost afterward. ALSO, what does the “No Call Bets” mean behind the Pass Line? Thanks anyone who reads this.
Hop are one roll bets. Each time I lost them, instead of removing them he leaves up and I had to give 10 $ to replace them. He was taking the 10 out of my wins to replace. Call bets are verbal bets. People would call out things like “ hop the 9, or place the 6” right before dice rolled and dealers can verbally say, you have a bet. This leaves room for cheating so the rule no call bets means you have to give the money to dealer and make bet before dice are rolled.
Color Up -Oh okay, Hop Bets ARE just 1 time bets. Makes sense now, how Alex paid out. I’ll watch it again. Thanks for clearing up the “Call Bet” question. I didn’t find a good answer after searching online. You’re such a good friend of CEG folks now. They do seem to respect your work I think you could open an off-campus school with them. After all there aren’t many knowledgeable Dice folks who do what you do as well... at least in my opinion. Thanks a million.
Played the same strategy long time ago but 20 in field and 5 on hopping easy 6 and 8 since hard ways dnt hit often every now and then u can just bet the hard ways straight up instead of hops so the only way to lose is the 7&5 so 10 ways to lose and 26 ways to win so 2/3 win average

You would lose 5 bucks on a hard 6 however. The goal is to have won some money prior to that happening so it wont hurt you.
I wonder about first win...place the off # and then press it on second win? Of course pt out is killer
Placing the 6 and 8, hopping the 5, with the field as an iron cross is a better bet. After a field is won you can place the 5.
