      That's a huge plus for me though my 2006 Yamaha Attack runs way to rich so I add about 2 gallons of E-85 to every tank then fill with 87 Octane..

    In talking about the standard equipment on an INDY XC Launch Edition, @6:11, you say it gets the standard PIDD gauge. I asked about this on Polaris’s IG and they didn’t respond back. To me the tunnel and bulkhead look very similar to the Axys. I think it’s just different plastics, suspension, etc. It doesn’t really make sense to call it a new chassis, but it’s just for marketing purposes. Axys isn’t outdated at all so I was expecting this.

    • @pavmentsurfer13
      @pavmentsurfer13 4 года назад +6

      There alot of similarities and alot of differences. Front and rear suspensions are the same. No difference. Bulkhead and tunnel is slightly different. Everything bolted TO the chassis including the whole over structure is COMPLETELY different. At the end of the day though the only thing that matters is how it works. Is it better than the AXYS... yes... alot. How they got there is of secondary concern, at least for me.

    Been a Polaris guy for years and years. Last 2 sleds have been Doo’s bc of how lacking Polaris has been. I was so excited to see what Polaris was coming out with this year and by all means, I like what I’m seeing. But... they’ve overpriced themselves by a long shot. A similarly equipped SkiDoo is easily $1500 less than a VR1. Base model 850’s are nearly $2000 less. The “you get what you pay for” adage is simply just not true or valid argument.
    Give us new awesome tech in comparison with SkiDoo and we’ll start talking again. Until then, I’m going to save money and enjoy a new SkiDoo that’s just as nice for less cost.

Better engine, better chassis, better lighting, better electronics, better ordering options including far more choices in models and suspension, color choices and more track options, better included storage, enclosed footholds, much better running boards, and a confident front end Ski Doo can only dream of. Why do you think their new Pilot X ski isn't available on the 2020.5 models? It's STILL not giving them the results they were hoping for.

    Polaris Patriot motors have 2 fuel type settings that are configured thru the message center or gauge.
    91 octane non ethanol fuel(91 octane or higher and NO ethanol) this setting will offer maximum performance.
    The other setting must be used for fuel that has less than 91 octane. It also should be used for fuel that contains ethanol. Polaris recommends a minimum of 87 octane fuel and no more than 10% ethanol, when using the proper Fuel Type Setting.
    No current 2 stroke Fuel injection Polaris motors use wiring changes or plugs to set fuel type.

      @@pavmentsurfer13 I'm not concerned about the contents in the storage area, I'm thinking about people stealing the seat and selling it online (easy grab and $$$ sell). A tool-free removable part like a seat can make your ride very uncomfortable, if you are staying overnight someplace and don't find your seat there. If somebody takes a bogie wheel (which happened to friends overnight at motel) you can ride back to trailer. Somebody takes a side panel you can ride home. Yes, there other parts that can be removed but required tools and more time to do. Sometimes a specific part is more of a inconvenience than somebody stealing the whole sled. Actually, polaris reliability has been above average the past few seasons. Ive seen the industry numbers. And no, polaris doesnt ignore consumers. They listen to them very closely, this new sled is a prime example. More storage, better wind protection, better accessory integration, easier to see and use gauge, better hot grips... all things consumers have been asking for. They develop new platforms to give the consumer better ride and handling. A new motor to give the consumer more power and better economy. There will be a 4 stroke. But you dont just grab a 4 stroke motor off the shelf and slap it in a chassis. It takes years to develop a motor that works and still fits in the chassis without sacrificing ride and handling.
