We just made these for dinner. The flavor was good, the meat was ridiculously juicy, and the bacon flavor was minimal.
The amount of work that went into these burgers was not worth the outcome.
I used (and needed to clean) my food processor, a rimmed baking sheet, a sieve, a nonstick fry pan (exactly why did you use non stick?), a large plate, 2 forks, a spatula, and an outdoor grill all for 4 okay burgers. And the onions took forever to brown in the nonstick pan.
Because of the time for prep and the time for cleanup, we won’t make these again. The concept is great. The end product was disappointing.
It’s really more about the flavor packed toppings than it is about the burger.

I semi-freeze my bacon, flip it over and remove/cut off the BLOOD SLUDGE (the white/fat side and ends), as much as possible. Usually do 3-5 lbs. per batch.
Make a mess, make it a big one, and get over with it, right?
From the grocery store, buy a small Jenny-O Smoked Turkey Ham. Take it to the Deli and have them slice it the size of thick-cut bacon.
Cannot do this in the Meat Department of most grocery stores, as it is already fully cooked. Must take it to the Deli Department.
Take that home. Trim and cut the raw bacon into ~ 1-2 inch pieces.
While the bacon is cooking, slice the pre-sliced (free, compliments of the Deli section) Jenny-O Turkey Ham into desired slices... long, short (not minced) sizes. Best is 1-2 inch square size?
After the bacon is almost done cooking, toss the cut turkey ham into the pan.
Drain on several layers of paper towels, top, mid and bottom, and let cool.
You can either bag it now, or slice/break it into crumbles at this point. Your call.
Grab a quart-sized ZIP-style bag, date and list ingredients, and dump the drained mixture of fat-trimmed bacon and Jenny-O Turkey ham in, withholding some for the fridge.
Put the bag of the kicked-up, more healthy version in the freezer door.
When I want a BLT, a sprinkle of bacon on my salad, toss a pinch into or on top of a bowl of soup or stew, mix in a meatloaf, top on Shepherd's Pie, baked potatoes... done deal.
You get the healthier version of bacon, full flavour, half the blood sludge... at your fingertips. Just open the freezer door, grab a pinch or two and voilà...
Hope this helps. Spread the word to your friends and families? I do not have a YT channel, nor do I want one.
Just like to share some hard-right, hands down healthier version of some of my favs. That's all.
    Stay safe everyone!

She put pepper in the meat before cooking it. Then put more pepper on top before she put it on the grill. You don’t put that much pepper on a burger.😂

I guess if you really like pepper you do. Your palate doesn’t rule the food world, sugar.

Bacon is just so gross. Those poor pigs don't deserve the treatment they get. There is vegetarian bacon now. There's also turkey bacon, which is a little better, though not much, in terms of ethics. We really don't need the animal meat anymore. It's bad for the environment too, if you care about that.
