These lawyer cannot compare the Life Esidimeni tragedy with these zama zamas. The two are incomparable. The patients at Life Esidimeni were under the state care but the same cannot be said with these criminals.
The state will never be held liable for lives lost during the commission of a crime by those who lost their lives.
    There is no genocide here.
It's just utter nonsense to try to pin responsibility and liability on the state.

A right to life goes with a responsibility to not endanger the lives of others by carrying dangerous weapons or by acting recklessly and disobeying constitutional rules and laws.

You are totally off the mark...lying to these communities is wrong...A person has voluntarily engaged in criminal activities and when the going gets tough and you are faced with death, you scream govt intervention to rescue you from your own mess. No ways no country in the world can allow that. The people who out themselves here are liable for their own actions.

It’s easy to blame the state for everything, this time you people have got it wrong government did not send these people to these derelict mines.

Lawyers for Human Rights failed the south africans in many many ways before this incident:
    1. Where were they when people were being rapped, abducted, robbed, terrorised, properties destroyed like theres no law or police in SA?( Check the documentaries...Riverlea etc)
    2. The kids have died of suspected food poisoning....was there any word- loud out- show of solidarity to parents of the deceased?
    3. Where are the LHR when people are being killed daily or in large numbers in many well known townships/ the issue of drug related murders,, extortion/ abductions, human trafficking,/ high unemployment, policing in the rural areas is 00/ clinics are a personal spaza shops to the Senior sister....same like the station commander etc
    4. Lack of services( fith in some townships- no clean environments, lllegal dumping and sweage spillage...inhumane situations
    5. Silence dies not mean stupid.....but gives the government the opportunity to be factual when responding to the demands that were/ are questionable: legal heads are preparing their HEADS for an interesting presentation

How on earth a civic organization can defend criminality, what message are they sending out there to all those violate the law of the country, this journalist seem confused, both individuals have no clue of what they are talking about,
These ppl break the law, ́ow so called civic representative is promiting criminality n criminals,
It is not the responsibility of the state, they should never entertain the nonsense of rescuing criminals. Also there is no murder here ,,these individuals really are disullusion. They choose to act illegally so they must taste the outcome of criminality, there is no way a civic organization representative can utter such nonsensical statement, he is clueless of the role n responsibility of a civuc representative period, rather he must go n learn the obligation n responsibility of a civic member

It's not sad or painful. People made choices and now there is consequences. An eye for an eye. Criminals have no rights. The state is not responsible.... These people went down a ditch in the ground alone... To mine gold in an illegal mine while being illegally here in south Africa. Do your jobs and give the facts of the situation
