In this video, Berklee Online professor John Storyk discusses his architectural approach to controlling low frequency in studio control rooms. He explains considerations of room geometry and configuration, placement of the listening position and monitors, and targeted low frequency absorption to control certain eigentones in order to prevent low frequency modal buildup and provide a basis for even sound response in a room.
About John Storyk:
John Storyk is best known for designing Electric Lady Studios with Jimi Hendrix, shortly after completing his architectural studies from Princeton. As an independent designer, engineer, and principal designer of WSDG, he has been responsible for more than 3,500 world-class audio/video production facilities, including studios, radio stations, video suites, entertainment clubs, and theaters. His work includes private studios for Whitney Houston, Bob Marley, Ace Frehley, Oven Studios (Alicia Keys), Roc the Mic (JAY-Z), and others. He is an adjunct professor of Acoustics and Studio Design at Berklee College of Music, Boston and he is the co-author of Berklee Online’s Architectural, Acoustic, and Audio System Design for the Modern Music Production Studio course, part of the Master of Music in Music Production program.

Though it's good info, it's too rudimentary. This was 5 minutes of discussion, just to say, "if your room isn't geometrically ideal, then your challenges just became exponential". Instead, let's just admit, the audience of these vids doesn't have control over room dimensions, otherwise, they'd just hire someone to build such for them. You didn't even touch on actual Low Frequency Control, as per the title.
