Nice idea. How much are these compared to Williams? Williams makes snap on screw drivers btw

@@Swampyankeehomestead CAT charges around 47$ and then UPS ground fee after it ships. I swear the CAT handles are nicer than the Williams if you have an eye for detail. But I have gotten a few carbide scrapers from Snappy recently and they have that same off black pigment. So idk. They all get nice and smooth after many years anyway.

Mayhew makes some demo drivers that the tips should hold up much better on. USA made and they rebrand for a couple of other brands. Channellock is one of those brands (part# DS-2H), and for $25 you get 2 demolition screwdriver. a flat head and #2 Phillips both with a striking cap and a 1/4” square drive as well. The Phillips works great breaking some super frozen fasteners. The flat head is just a pry bar for me
Haven’t owned for long but I’m not super concerned about breaking the tips off on these like I have with my snappies in the past (my snap on guy has had to replace all my flat heads lol). Mayhew makes them but charges more, plus the channel lock blue handles just look better to me then the red ones from mayhew 😂
Also for more readily available version of these cat screwdrivers look at Williams. It’s snap ons industrial line but they’re identical to the Cats, and much easier to find

I know but honestly I just love the look. Had to do it. I have a set of Wera demo drivers that are good to really beat on. These are gonna have to be for mild and clean work. Thanks for the input it is nice to hear where others are at. Edit: also the Williams handles are slightly different, I had a set they are rougher/cheaper, smell bad. the cat”s are identical to the snap on handles. Worth the extra spend imo.

      Chiseldriver is a Wera brand.
      They are S2 tool steel.
Much tougher than the average screwdriver.
Amazon has ‘em on sale once in a while.
I don’t particularly like their soft handles.
Even though they help a lot with torque, they get dirty easily.
But a tub-o-towels sheet cleans them up like new.
      So I guess it’s a wash.
