Poppy’s voice sounds actually kind of cute and eerie at the same time. Like, when she speaks to you after you get up and before getting kidnapped, she seems to be pretty friendly. Being nice, apologising for she probably scaring you, she sounds cute. But on the train, she goes back to being eerie and almost scary in a way, how she refuses to let you leave.
I like how at first Mommy Long Legs is putting on an act probably out of habit but it slowly breaks away & reveals her sadistic insanity as the games go on. To me she's scarier than Huggy because he was almost like an animal acting purely on instinct while she knows what she's doing & loves it

I feel that finally this game took MatPat's advice and did not changing things last minute, and chapter two seemed smooth for the most part and I actually enjoyed playing it myself too!

There has to be a reason that these games are the way they are. Mommy Longlegs says "They called me Mommy because I was the closest they'd ever had to one." The games are also set around the idea of mental and physical strength. My theory is that Playtime Co. was testing these games on children who came from difficult backgrounds, and that these children possibly became the various characters we see around the map.
A good theory but one flaw: If children possess the characters. Who possesses Mommy and Huggy? The two of them definitely don’t seem to have a childish personality. Besides Mommy’s little fit of rage before hide and seek anyways. And Huggy just seemed to react like a wild animal and attack us. So maybe a mix between the employees AND the children they tested.
@@bubblemorow6806 I think the more major characters were projects created by Playtime Co. It's possible the children became the other various toys that we see literally bleeding around the map. Huggy and ML could be their own separate thing.
One thing that struck me about Long Legs saying that line was that most of the children that these toy company freaks brought to the factory were probably orphaned or abandoned by their parents. If this is the case, then those kids would probably have no concerned people looking for them and these psychos could experiment on these poor kids without any regard to their lives.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how the music box version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" eerily set up the next encounter that was bound to happen? It was very well done, IMO.
As terrifying as Mommy long legs is, Huggy had more suspense since he was waiting in the shadows to strike, Mommy makes her presence known through the whole chapter. Mommy is scary though don’t get me wrong
I mean sure, but you can miss a bunch of Huggy Wuggy appearances. Like I had a friend completely miss the arm sliding into the door and him appear in one of the doors. He then just appears and chases you. Sure he’s scary, but not that interesting.

It's terrifying that The Prototype picked up Mommy Longlegs's remains immediately after you kill her. It was waiting right there in the nearby shadows, implying that it was stalking you both throughout the game.
What if the prototype makes itself stronger by using the toys that the player kills and uses them for their body? It also makes sense because when Mommy Long Legs is killed she yells "You'll make me part of him" before her abdomen is crushed and she dies. Him is most likely impling that Prototype is "him". If she knows what will happen after she died it is likely she saw it happen to Huggy who died after Chapter 1 and in the tralier, we see Mommy drag him along the floor. I regret this theory became it is very macrabe and dark.
Kissy Missy must be the character I found the best, that fact that she just was there for like a minutes to just pull a lever and made it my fav. Character of the chapter show it
Something interesting I noticed about 54:08, yes, it’s very brutal, but note that blood came out when mll’s torso was crushed. When she started going insane, her hands started to take the shape on normal human hands clinging to walls- normally impossibly for anything plastic. The fact that there could be an actual human in that toy that the player had killed is horrifying and disturbing. edit: I didn’t know about the experiment tapes until recently, so my theory is that they could be using human souls in the factory and experimenting on them. There was an experiment sheet for mll, she is 1122 I think?
Matpats theory states that they are artificial creatures, so they have flesh like other animals, but he says that it’s only huggy so idk about long legs
At 2:40, I love Huggy’s lines. “Come closer, I just want a squeeze” “I promise I won’t bite” His first line is referring to what the toy is made to do and the second one is just ironic because in the first chapter, we can see that he has very sharp teeth and it’s how he kills you.
I find it really interesting how during her death Mommy says "you'll make me part of him" so she knows about him, which makes me think they all do and if they die he gets stronger
That big claw is probally part of huggy wuggy allready since he died, so now it's mommy long legs. My theory is that each boss that dies, the claw gets a new ability. The claw could stretch its limbs and know when to strike

As for me, Poppy turns out to be the daughter of the factory owner, who wanted to save her this way. The other large toys were to keep her company. Kisi Misi is an employee MatPat considers to be Poppy. The big hand that takes the body of the spider (as for me) is the owner.

This game has given me heavy amounts of BATIM vibes. First with huggy’s unexpected chase at the end of chapter one, just like the bendy scare. And now with Mommy long legs being like the alice in the fact that she has you do a bunch of mini games to be able to leave. Poppy also shares the Alice trait when she says you are too perfect to let go, except you are you and not Boris. She even crashes the train like how alice crashed the elevator. Kissy missy even pulls Sammy’s old trick at 31:11 as well.
I love Kissy Missy so much, you’d think she be more aggressive and out for revenge since her lover possibly is dead. She makes that game so much more unique
Definitely a lot to digest this chapter, but what I want to know most is what happened to Poppy in the time we were separated. At first she seemed pretty normal, a little sheepish, pretty cheerful, asking us to trust her, but then when we get the last code, she’s all cold, creepy and talking about using us for our “usefulness”, she did a total 360. What’s with the change in attitude? Why was she totally silent when Mommy was holding her? What happened or what did she see/hear?

That chase sequence has to be one of the most terrifying moments I’ve experienced in a game- no joke it had me on my nerves so much and I jumped multiple times. I’m not the biggest fan of Mob Games because of things they’ve done but holy shit this was good?? Especially the animation

mommy long legs role as a mother is honestly so smart the way she speaks is honestly terrifying because of how you could compare it to some mothers out there. her death was terrifying along with her character the way this chapter improved sm from the first one is amazing im shocked
54:16 she's referring to experiment 1006. There's a tape you missed out on where one of the staff spoke of it as having high intelligence and it uses parts and pieces to build itself. It only showed the mechanical arm and hand seen after mommy's long legs was crushed I didn't know what she meant when she said “him”, then I realized that the hand reaching out of the half-opened shutter was 1006 she spoke of. Final boss maybe?
The fact that 20:30 you can hear Bunzo being killed by Mommy or 1006 makes this game even more creepier, it's like the game is just going forward for himself.
Mommy Long Legs saying "they called me Mommy because I was the closest they'd ever had to one" might mean that she's talking about the orphans that Playtime Co. looked after. She then says the orphans were gone, perhaps due to the staff at Playtime Co. doing _something_ to them, because she says "since you worked here, you deserve to die alone". I'm not sure, but the orphans wouldn't have just came here for games and left, since the factory was their shelter. Maybe I'm missing something?
I'm guessing that Poppy is just desperate for help if she's trapping the player in the factory, even when they're about to leave. It's terrifying that The Prototype picked up Mommy Longlegs's remains immediately after you kill her. It was waiting right there in the nearby shadows, implying that it was stalking you both throughout the game.
It probably is what Huggy screames over in chapter 1 after falling too
What if the prototype makes itself stronger by using the toys that the player kills and uses them for their body? It also makes sense because when Mommy Long Legs is killed she yells "You'll make me part of him" before her abdomen is crushed and she dies. Him is most likely impling that Prototype is "him". If she knows what will happen after she died it is likely she saw it happen to Huggy who died after Chapter 1 and in the tralier, we see Mommy drag him along the floor. I regret this theory became it is very macrabe and dark.

Something interesting I noticed about 54:08, yes, it’s very brutal, but note that blood came out when mll’s torso was crushed. When she started going insane, her hands started to take the shape on normal human hands clinging to walls- normally impossibly for anything plastic. The fact that there could be an actual human in that toy that the player had killed is horrifying and disturbing.
edit: I didn’t know about the experiment tapes until recently, so my theory is that they could be using human souls in the factory and experimenting on them. There was an experiment sheet for mll, she is 1122 I think?

As for me, Poppy turns out to be the daughter of the factory owner, who wanted to save her this way. The other large toys were to keep her company. Kisi Misi is an employee MatPat considers to be Poppy. The big hand that takes the body of the spider (as for me) is the owner.

This game has given me heavy amounts of BATIM vibes. First with huggy’s unexpected chase at the end of chapter one, just like the bendy scare. And now with Mommy long legs being like the alice in the fact that she has you do a bunch of mini games to be able to leave. Poppy also shares the Alice trait when she says you are too perfect to let go, except you are you and not Boris. She even crashes the train like how alice crashed the elevator. Kissy missy even pulls Sammy’s old trick at 31:11 as well.
I love Kissy Missy so much, you’d think she be more aggressive and out for revenge since her lover possibly is dead. She makes that game so much more unique

Definitely a lot to digest this chapter, but what I want to know most is what happened to Poppy in the time we were separated.
At first she seemed pretty normal, a little sheepish, pretty cheerful, asking us to trust her, but then when we get the last code, she’s all cold, creepy and talking about using us for our “usefulness”, she did a total 360.
What’s with the change in attitude? Why was she totally silent when Mommy was holding her? What happened or what did she see/hear?

She then says the orphans were gone, perhaps due to the staff at Playtime Co. doing _something_ to them, because she says "since you worked here, you deserve to die alone". I'm not sure, but the orphans wouldn't have just came here for games and left, since the factory was their shelter. Maybe I'm missing something?
