Some fantastic choice selections on your list. Foreign Affair is a forgotten delight. I wish they had sung in more often life. Tryst Curtis has done an amazing job as to fill the gap of the great Tim Hauser would have been difficult on so many levels. They choose wisely. Tryst also has the same humility and grace that Tim had. This group's music has helped me get through the toughest times of life they I simply adore them on so many levels.

They did a great cover of "The Boy From New York City" in 1981. Other songs are "Birdland", "Until I Met You (Corner Pocket)", "Route 66", "Java Jive", "Tuxedo Junction", "Operator" etc.

A great post Harri. I hope you find some more hidden jams from MT. Jazz snobs used to ignore M.T. but after many years of magnificence they slowly and begrudgingly came to admit that they indeed played great jazz. Check out Night in Tunisia they did with Bobby McFerrin also has a great video.. All those cool people out there who have written to support M.T. can we form a fan club. I need one as I don't do Facebook. HarriBest you're the best. The knowledge you bring to your review is great.

Other well known scat singers are Scatman Carruthers, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Durante, Al Jarreau, Roger Miller, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bobby McFerrin.
I really like what Bobby McFerrin did with the Pentatonic Scale. He toured the world giving demonstrations of his unique talents and enticing the entire audience (studio, amphitheater, stadium) to perform with him. Reminiscences of the India chant in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", but a more melodic and interactive event. Truly an awe inspiring spectacle.

The fact that MT are currently touring for the last time in their mid-seventies is just amazing. Now there is a group that love music. For me I prefer MT's jazz and vocalese more than their earlier pop prior to Cheryl Bentyne came on board. In fact I think Cheryl is one of the best jazz singers out there.

Unless the avatar attached to your channel is of your granddaughter, you hardly seem capable of meeting Scatman Carruthers. He was born in 1910 and passed away in 1986.
